  1. Jagex apparently doesn't want us to know. We don't need to. ~Mr. Devnull
  2. I don't see how. I could access all of Tip.It forums at that point in time. Well, on the bright side, this thread can now be closed. I've found, basically on my own, temporary solutions and such, and that leaves no point left for this thread. Also, RuneWeb.net has come back from the grave somehow. :? ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  3. I wouldn't be too sure. Associating it with the "Makeover Mage" wasn't a good idea. :? Anywho great article, my hat is off to The Editor. =D> BTW, while the rest of you were talking only about the article, I realized something that should be of interest to many: The Editor that we have at current has thrown us a nice little chunk of info to work with on finding out their ID... Maybe it is time to awaken an old thread? :-s ~Mr. Devnull
  4. Eh, I don't particularly like update 4. It allows Jagex to have their random determining of who gets coal rocks and such, as well as shows you that your character is obeying your commands. Also, it shows that a monster is just short of dead. The rest is fine, I think. ~Mr. Devnull
  5. Quick note: NO AntiVirus Program provides as much defense as NOD32 does. There are MANY known flaws in Kaspersky's abilities, and their scan quality and system defense are far less than NOD32's. I should personally know from when my dad and I checked the different AntiVirus Sites and researched because he'd tripped over this info. At the time, we were switching away from Symantec's Norton AntiVirus, and we searched everything, and found NOD32 is the ABSOLUTE best. When we put in NOD32 on another PC where we keep our e-mail, it found 200 things that Norton had missed in just the e-mail store area alone. Further, it has provided excellent protection since then, and destroyed viruses before they reached any of our PC's operating areas. So if you're using a free or pirated AntiVirus, switch away from it. You're just sitting with a PC connected to the net in much the same manner as "unsafe sex"... (I'm sure you understand what I mean, all of you who would end up reading this.) ~Mr. Devnull (To the Tip.It Admins and Mods: Should you read this and find it offensive, please try to provide a better analogy. I was only using the first one I thought of at the time. :( ...)
  6. Maruder, I have to disagree with you on the word emote controls. Personally, before the interface change, I really liked them as the 'out of the way', 'non-interfering' controls they used to be for someone who used emotes rarely, if at all. But now, they are jammed in a person's face like never before, and I am developing a worse and worse hate :x for them, as they constantly interfere with me and I can now pull a panel of them up entirely by accident. Also, those pop-up tooltips Jagex now uses are fully and totally annoying. They get in my way constantly, and have nearly resulted in my character's death FOUR TIMES OR MORE! Think before you douse an idea... ***walks off, steaming with anger... :x ...*** ~Mr. Devnull
  7. (Okay, before I reply, I should note I stripped a 'line feed' out of that large white space...) Now, to crack down on this idea... this is to anyone that agrees with the idea, for that matter: What is on your minds with wanting this? :x ... This would make no region of the RuneScape map safe for anyone who was just starting the game! A "Level 3 New Player" would try to go exploring after tutorial island in an attempt to learn their game map areas, and end up bringing a "Black Knight (Level 33)" back to lumbridge with them when they were just trying to run away from it, and a whole keg of people would end up dead, right along with them! Think before you have ideas like these! ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  8. This may be off-topic somewhat, but has to be answered to: RuneScape is a fantasy game, not a medieval game! da_guru_123, must 3 people fight with you over this issue? It IS a known fact (don't ask me to dig up where, this has been mentioned in many other places, go search if you're really gonna be that much of a pain) that Jagex wants this game to maintain a "medieval" storyline design. Heck, Jagex rejected guns because of this same kind of problem. A rifle, gun, or "molotov cocktail" would be far too modern a weapon. Heck, the dwarven multicannon was pushing the limits of Jagex's allowed tech boundaries. 'Nuff said. Don't call the other 2 people to help me here!!! ~Mr. D. V. Devnull (Way off-topic: This is my 1337th post... get the joke? "1337" translated from 'leetspeak' is "leet", as in "elite". ...)
  9. Uhm, I know you might want to flame me for the following question, but please don't. :ohnoes: What does "W/F" mean??? :-s ~Mr. Devnull
  10. Post without replying? :-k What exactly are you reffering to? It could be that the Tip.It Admins and Mods have that person on a short leash and are moderating that person's posts. :-s ... I think we should not discuss that further. ~Mr. Devnull
  11. 14,380 ... I had to re-define my search about 8 times to find anything for each of the parts of my name, "Delta Varuna Devnull" ... what I turned up was basically tons of mispointing from what I'd tripped over in an old dictionary. I think you can safely consider wikipedia mostly useless in this situation. For a quick breakdown of it (as per my memory of that dictionary, since actually gaining physical access is hard-to-impossible right now): "Delta" is like the greek symbol, 'delta', and can also reference the number '3'... "Varuna" is a Vedic god who maintained balance in the natural order. "Devnull" is in reference to '/dev/null', the 'null device' of a Unix system (or basically any other, just under other names) ... you could also mark it like that trash can's 'empty' function on your windows desktop. When you combine all 3 parts, it then comes to the 'concocted' definition of "The god-like triple attack that will send you to oblivion"... and that used to be me back in the days when I played the original "Unreal Tournament"... *reminisces* ~Mr. Devnull
  12. Because we are not trying to push our luck. :) ~Mr. Devnull
  13. I would not disagree with that, in fact, I'd fully agree with it. :) ... (Off-topic: 3 Mbps DSL with a multiport wireless-capable router is fun. :) ...) ~Mr. Devnull
  14. 14,384 Tip.It forums, a great place for lunacy like this! (YES I 'SLOGANIZED' IT!) ~Mr. Devnull
  15. I'm all F2P here too. Never been P2P. 926 overall 76 combat Go look me up with that link on the left. ~Mr. Devnull
  16. Maybe they are trying to make a VPN too? Although, it looked like all of this was happening under the same roof, not in two different houses, to be honest... ~Mr. Devnull
  17. Agreed. buzzman1992, you want to add a desktop area, not clone your first one, so avoid your super-advanced properties and just use the basic-advanced settings. :) ~Mr. Devnull
  18. I'd bet protocol not working over ICS by design. ~Mr. Devnull
  19. runemetsa, since no one else has asked, what version of FireFox are you running? And what FireFox extensions do you have installed? :-s ~Mr. Devnull
  20. "Avast! AV" is the equivalent of a 'wide-open house' in comparison with the very power and ability of "NOD32"... I personally suggest you 'deep-six' Avast and go get NOD32 today. The costs of having and running NOD32 are less than that of any other AV maker out there. Here's the URL: http://www.eset.com ~Mr. Devnull
  21. Sounds like it just got hidden in the background due to processor overload. Try "alt+tab" to find it. I think you will run into it pretty quick. ~Mr. Devnull
