open the case, and look at what kinda slot you have, if its semi-old it will prolly be agp, or to be safe you could go with pci, but pci-x is pretty new. or if you know what kinda computer you have you can look on the mobo box, or look on the company website for that model of computer you have

Alrighty.. I build computers, and thats what i do. I even do a fair bit of programming (like my own rs client). I've build computers for many people and spent over $1500 building mine, because i was stupid and got the parts when they were best on the market. But I want to build my dad a computer, and his current one is 4 years old and about to putter out. I shop newegg because tigerdirect was nubby to me once. Tell me what you think about this: I'm not getting a video card, because i have one of my older ones that will still run any game on high flawlessly. My grandfather died this morning around 10:30, just anothing thing to add onto my life, i might come back to rs sooner than i had thought. Sure, call me a quiiter noob that comes back.
