2011/12 Football Season
If that is the goal that proves momentous in securing United's record 19th league title, then I can think of few goals more fitting for the achievement.

Gambling.
20, so yes. In betting terms, only put 50p on a match score en route to the pub once. My housemate did an accumulator for ridiculous odds (like, 50p would earn £4k) every week, and he lost everytime. I don't buy a lottery ticket, the only other time I gamble is on a poker night with friends. And that's usually because I win, about £35 in one night staking £7. It's like they've never heard of a fake tell. That or they're too pissed to care.

Real life help & advice
Make sarcastic jibes about how they must be so proud for picking on an autistic boy who doesn't have the ability to defend himself. Everyone knows bullies pick on people because they were once bullied themselves, and they pick on people who can't fight back. If you sit next to him and back him up, they might just listen to and your gang. Must say, it's quite admirable how you feel a need to defend this guy. Strong sense of social justice, right there.

Does Jagex have self confidence anymore
I don't think my original point was about money or profit, it was about people maintaining membership status. It's nice to see people care about what I have to say so much that they'll create a whole damn thread based on something I didn't actually say.. Or does that just prove you're ignorant? Perspective, I guess.

New Option: Buy Banned Accounts
I certainly wouldn't be willing to pay Jagex if I was banned unfairly. I know sure as heck I wouldn't buy back my old account if the chance were offered to me. I was banned many years ago for an offence, for which they provided no evidence and to the best of my knowledge I never committed, least of all set out to commit on purpose. Apparently their detection system was foolproof. That's all I got to know.

So apparently you can't PM during an Arcanists game. Nicely done though.

Has Runescape "Jumped the Shark"?
...I miss 2006 CW. :-( Why-oh-why? What was wrong with thirty people per team...?

Haven't played in a while, Avies still a good way to make money?
I'd hesitate at millions, but they're pretty good. 500K-750K an hour last time I went with similar levels to your own (except I was prayer 70+). I'm sure someone more experienced than me could provide more detail or alternative methods. Personally the question I'd ask myself is: Do I want to go to Avians? If the answer is 'Yes', go for it.

Runescape Wedding Results in Under-Age Sex Trial
What 'middle ground' is there in rape? The only difference between sex and rape is consent. Do you give consent or not? Where's the middle ground in a "Yes/No" answer? Did she maybe give consent?

Runescape Wedding Results in Under-Age Sex Trial
I dunno what it is about guys my age having such a problem understanding that people over 18 shouldn't be having sex with people under 16, and if they do, it's the 18+ year old in a position of power there. A 13-year old isn't legally allowed to have sex, but if they get raped by someone five times their age, it's their fault for letting it happen. Yeah I see how that one works... Can I make a recommendation never to work in a women's refuge? Not that you'd be allowed to anyway, being male (for good reason) but your lack of understanding really is genuinely worrying to the rest of us.

Has Runescape "Jumped the Shark"?
Why make it so leaned towards people who have given their money already? For the price of sending a postcard first class every day, you might as well buy one month's credit. The answer's pretty obvious: it's better from a commercial perspective to keep paying players hooked rather than players who don't contribute anything to the company other than ad revenue. If they feel as though their membership credit is an investment which could earn $10,000, they'll stay. Question is, why don't Jagex trust the content of the game to do this already?

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
People, especially my age, who go on nights out about three or four times a week, study the barest minimum, then whine because they've got no money to spend while suffering from hangovers.

Has Runescape "Jumped the Shark"?
No one's claimed the game has gotten 'worse', or that it's 'dying'. Just like anything which does not last forever, RuneScape will have a period of growth, followed by a period of stagnation where the company tries to keep it from falling into decline, until it eventually gives in for rapid decline. The thing that puzzles me is: If they wanted to bring in Free Trade, why didn't they just put it back in quietly like almost every other game update? Why hit us with a poll (sorry, two "polls") out of nowhere when it's obvious you've been working on it for much longer before? What's with the 10K giveaways all of a sudden? Sure, there's legit reasons for all those things, but two things are also common: 1) They can all be done in desperation, to keep players hooked; 2) None of them are new content. 10K giveaways aren't content at all. Free Trade was once there before. To me, that's a company whose main multi-award winning game is in stagnation, looking for ways to keep it afloat for a little while longer until Stellar and WoL get done.

Doesn't really mean anything; she could be an exceptional female. But yeah, keying being connected to what you have between your legs? Just... no.

Runescape Wedding Results in Under-Age Sex Trial
There's been incidents like this before. It's hardly Jagex's fault... It really is the sick pervert's (and definitely not not the girl's - I really don't see how anyone could think she wanted to have her already-confusing emotions manipulated). So yeah, no crackdown.

Has Runescape "Jumped the Shark"?
I can't see RS statuses on the mobile version of TIF, but I'm guessing if you asked this on the OT forum which contains proportionately more retirees, you'd get a lot more 'Yes' answers, myself being one of them. Jagex making profit is one thing, but that's not what the question is asking. Maintaining an influx of players and preventing players from leaving is another. To me, the Free Trade thing was about them admitting they couldn't beat botting and so surrendered to it for the benefit of everyone else, but it also smacked of desperation, with the "poll" and the "vote" being so colourfully flaunted in public. It was meant to be noticed by people who were hacked off by its removal, it was meant to say, 'This can still be your game, because we're putting it back in.' Was that the last attempt of a company hoping to stop the rot though? I'm not so sure. The thing is, we all know 120 skillcapes are coming. I can picture a scenario where Jagex don't add any content from 100-120, they just release the skillcapes as another achievement to tick off the list. In which case, they're clearly using it as a hook to keep the players who have already maxed out or are near that stage from leaving. That would be the last act for me, but it hasn't come yet.

If there was one new feature you could add to Runescape, what would it be?
Maybe it's changing the fundamentals, but I'd get rid of the level up system for everything other than combat skills, for which I'd divide magic into combat and non-combat spells. The rest of the skills would be a 'technology tree' where making one item enough times unlocks another item. Just seems more real, and it helps to cure the obsessive grinding Jagex use to artificially extend RuneScape's gameplay. I never got why cooking 100,000 lobsters would help cook a summer pie. Hotkeys for mage spells sounds nice. Also, have monsters drop raw materials which are used to make items, like pretty much every other RPG that's ever existed.

Super Bowl XLV
Meh... Sure you're not comparing to The Who? Tough act to follow. 17-21! Some UK fans on the official Pittsburgh FB group complaining coz it's too late. Pathetic, it's only 1:45am. Hoping for a three and out...

2011/12 Football Season
Two points clear from relegation, with a game in-hand over the Latics. Strange decision, it can only be a panic move. They were likely candidates to go down anyway but, if they find themselves in trouble a month from now, they've only themselves to blame.

Is RS Dying?
Eugh... Talk about a 'Citation needed' generation... Lotsa drama over something pretty insignificant. OT: I think you're right to say that the game has become too top heavy to the point where vital content, such as DG, is all but totally inaccessible unless you're at least 130 having already trained to DG90, which takes hundreds, if not thousands of hours to achieve already. Is it dying? Too early to say.

Super Bowl XLV
* Four tackles (or downs) to go ten yards. You get another set of downs if you achieve this by the quarterback passing the ball through the air forwards, or running with it forwards. * Aim: cross the plane of the opponent's 'zero yard line' (try line in rugby, by comparison) = touchdown * Also, kicking between uprights = field goal * Field goal is 3 pts, touchdowns themselves are 6, but you then have a conversion attempt: ** Standard conversion involves kicking between uprights, = 1pt ** 2-pt conversion is where you attempt to score essentially another touchdown on a conversion play, but this only = 2pts You kick to the other team after scoring, except for a safety, which I'm not explaining. There are also penalties, I'm sure you'll pick up on those intuitively.

Super Bowl XLV
I'm not confident. Pouncey's a big loss for the Steelers... We can't be having fumbles like the safety two weeks ago.

The effects of piracy on artists
Please, spare me your damn excuses. Theft is theft, we're not talking about stealing bread here. If what you're doing is so ethically not bad, go into HMV, stuff a CD under your coat, and when the magnetic beeper goes off on your way out you can tell the store owner about how the industry's wealth distribution is so unfair that it makes you the victim, so you had to steal it. See if he or the law gives two.

The effects of piracy on artists
I have 1300 songs and I bought every one of them, apart from those which were free downloads anyway. I've not earned more than a student income my whole life. So the 'I can't afford it because it's £0.79 each' argument really is BS.
