  1. Aside from a few songs (Yellow, In My Place, Speed of Sound, Clocks), most of their stuff lacks emotional depth and creativity. I just can't relate to them at all.
  2. Anon: Hiya Me: Hiya. Who are you? Anon: . u? Me: Liam. How did you get my addy? Anon: OMG I ws jst tryin 2 mak cnvasation! *Anon is now Offline* ... That was just creepy. I have plenty more MSN stories, none of them G rated. ;)
  3. Condemning people to Hell based on their beliefs? You sir, are a GREAT advert for Christianity. In fact, Christianity could do with less people like you going around making threats to others due to their beliefs. Otherwise, it is a perfectly nice religion.
  4. Happiest: Man Utd winning the European Champions League. I'd seen United win it in 1999 for the treble but I don't think I understood exactly what it means at that age. When you bare in mind we thought it was all over after Ronaldo missed, for Terry to slip was one thing, and then for Van der Sar to save Anelka's shot was incredible. On the 50th anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster. Hollywood can't write a better story. Saddest: The bolded above. It seems weird that I was more upset on that day than the day my Mum died, or the days my grandparents died. Boring: Jesus, how the Hell would I know?
  5. A tradable glitch you mean : A tradable glitch which I suspect will be made untradable very soon thanks to people responsibly using the "Report Bug" tool... or by people trying to make a quick fortune out of it.
  6. Answer yourself this question: If we had no need for sleep, why would we do it; or why would our bodies create a chemical which tells us we need to go to sleep?
  7. You don't read the global announcements all that often, do ya? :?
  8. This thread presumes something which hasn't already been established: Why should we all type in perfect English prose with immaculate spelling?
  9. These plans were made in 1945? That be why they lost the War. Well, not the only reason obviously, but one reason. I doubt it. Would it really have won them Stalingrad? The Battle of the Atlantic? The Mediterranean campaign? It just looks like a super version of the V2 attacks, and as we all know, they really didn't do anything either except a slight shock in morale of complacent Londoners.
  10. Really, the only thing that you can do yourself is to stick by her. Even when she's giving you the cold shoulder because of this obsession. If she's gonna get herself this deep into feelings then she needs someone to pull her out the hole she's digging. Frankly, it's not that uncommon for teenagers to want to delve that deep into feelings. It's part of growing up, being curious about emotions, defining 'love'. Clearly though, she's confused about what it means and it's developed into a feeling that this boy is the 'one'. Either two things will happen: 1) She'll realise this ain't worth it, and it's emotionally illogical to love someone who constantly hurts her that much. 2) He'll leave her for good. Until she snaps out of Romeo and Juliet mode, you just have to stick by her and make sure she's not ruining her social life beyond repair over this.
  11. That doesn't work though. All that means is teachers will fill the lessons with more work then use that as an excuse to give you homework. In other words, it's an excuse for lazy teaching.
  12. I usually just lie on the sofa with a duvet and a pillow. I play music on the TV or my iPod, or I play the DS - anything that keeps me occupied on something. I make sure I've got a hot water bottle and if I feel drowsy I go to sleep and wake up in a few hours time feeling a bit better. I keep taking hot chocolate, or tea if I'm not feeling nauseous, and I have food like normal so long as I can feel like I can stomach it. If others say I'm running a temperature, I take cheap paracetamol, as well as cheap relief from symptoms like Lockets, Olbas Oil, Venos. If I end up being sick, yay! My body's doing its job and it's quite satisfying. If you've lost your appetite, try mixing one stock of OXO (or whatever you have) into a mug of hot water and stir. Then drink it or eat it with bread.

    His Dair rules ... I'm out. :(
  14. You have to bear in mind that what most Americans regard a "British accent" is hardly representative of most Britons. It's like when you learn French. What you're actually learning is the posh, formal Parisian form of French used mostly in the north of France, not the common form used in the south. Likewise, I don't normally talk in real life like I write on here. I write in proper English here because it's easier to communicate. ;) Selena Gomez tried doing a British accent on the radio the other day. It was OK, but only about two dozen landlords and their hunting dogs actually speak with that kinda accent (not sure if the link works outside UK). As for "torch", I imagine it comes from old fire torches. Since their use was the same to a 'flashlight', it probably just got carried on.
  15. Yea, omg, no offence to any UK people. BUt I can't stand it when I see 'armour,' 'labour,' and 'daemon.' Cause I'm so used to see it differently. No worries. It annoys me equally as much when I hear "mom". Man, that word grates. :?

Lag screws Crazy just as much as it does you. Although I would hate too play a laggy game too. Your awesome tiny ganon would get punched by my giant FALCON PUNCH. [/hide] Like I said I havn't played in a while, so I suck. That coupled with lag= me being owned. Though I was getting some good arrow loops with Pit :D Forget all the stuff about lag. The bolded is why you lost.
  17. Well one way of shutting them up would be to grant them independence. Otherwise, suck it up. ;)
  18. Close your eyes, and repeat after me: "I am right, I am right, I am right" That's the only way you're gonna survive on here with a 'tude like that. And, just to make this post on-topic: If someone finds one I'd like some popcorn meeself :D .
  19. Uhh... I'd just drank tea before reading this page. :|
  20. That's why we have these things called inquiries, for when two people's account of events don't match up with each other. You can't automatically trust someone, no matter who they are, when they are the accused. Only, these cost money, so are usually conducted by an independent body commissioned the authorities. As far as I can tell, no inquiry has made at all into this. That in itself makes me suspicious about the police's guilt here. Maybe there's something they don't want appearing to the public? In which case, just apologise and spin the usual crap about how 'procedures have been changed to ensure this doesn't happen again'.
  21. Get the chip off your shoulder about the media. Because there's three obvious things that run against you: 1) In a country as solicitor-happy as the US, why would anyone go onto a news channel with potentially libellous claims? I know I sure as Hell wouldn't. 2) There are witnesses to the boy falling off the bridge. 3) The BBC is recognised as the one of the most impartial broadcaster's in the world, and they have shown some of the positive work. The fact of the matter is this: There's [bleep] all to show because of the volatile situation in Iraq and Afghanistan, which itself has been caused mostly by the coalition's actions. We're pumping loads of money into those two areas, and hardly any of it is having any effect, according to the BBC. You make it sound like we're building a wonderful utopia where unicorns majestically skip across the (err... desert) - that simply is not the case.
  22. Yeah I know. Anyone would think musical preference is subjective. Bittersweet Symphony, if I'm not mistaken. They received no royalties for that song even though it's their most famous by far, and it's more popular than the original piece it was used in.
  23. Absolutely. Talking about it on an Internet forum even gets you laid these days.
  24. Oh, why didn't you say it was a restraint? That makes it OK... That "crazy guy" was a 16 year old boy who for whatever reason fell off a bridge, yet you seem to think it's acceptable that the police go around tazering people 19 times over for scant all reason, and not even have the civil decency to offer an apology for the medical problems it later caused? I would hope the police would be able to recognise when someone is immobile, since they automatically gain control over any accident scene, paramedics included. This throws into question whether the standard police should even be trusted with tazers. In the UK, currently they are not. If I walk into a police station and shout "I'm going to shoot you all dead" even though I'm clearly incapable of carrying that threat out, they should tazer me? They could restrain me, or they could follow common sense and just show me the door.
