omg the world is ending

i've drop traded or multi-log traded over 20 times, no time did i ever get a warning or black mark. maybe they just figured it's not really that bad since you did earn all that money in the first place i don't see them being able to stop this if they can't even stop me from obvious drop trades tons of times. i did quite a few extremely noticeable ones on purpose and nothing was ever done about it. dropping a rare on the floor and logging into another account to pick it up, i don't know how much more clear i could make it. they don't have good detectors of drop trading. i'd think this would effect rl trading more

different times, different prices i bought the 360 elite for $449 and the ps3 60 gig for $699 yes i do need the wireless because i do not want to drill holes through my wall. so add another 100 to elite, $549. Rechargable battery +$20 for the 360. live membership +$50. the stuff i added is stuff included free with the ps3. Ends up over $600. though i don't need the extra memory, i bought the elite version because the manager at game stop told me it will not have the red ring of death problem. true enough, i haven't experienced any such problems still less than what i paid for my ps3 but now with the new version of the ps3, it's prices are $399 for 40 gig and $499 for 80 gig. to be honest, i've used like like 4 gig out of the 120 from the elite and maybe 10 gig out of my ps3. there's a point when you don't really need so much :-$ mass effect is coming out but who really knows how good it will do? i haven't played a demo of it personally so i have no idea. when i saw folklore trailers from e3, i thought the game would be the next big hit. you get to yank the id out of their body using motion from the sixaxis controller and beautiful cutscenes, sadly it didn't live up to my or anyone elses expectations. i'm gonna go ahead and buy mass effect just because it has good reviews, unfortunately i don't have so much free time to go researching all the new games so i just pick out what others say are good or from what i see on trailers. btw, i can stream movies, pics, music, and vids saved on my ps3 on my psp through wifi while i'm at work, class, or the toilet :XD: if people actually use the ps3 to it's fullest, it can be well worth your money. hardcore gamers, stick with the 360

if you listen for it, you will definately hear it. if you just play a game, it won't be noticeable.

want to know why i mentioned sequels? because they have a huge fan base want to know why halo 3 was breaking records for sales? because they have a huge fan base, o ya it is a sequel so i really have no point what you're getting at about me mentioning sequels the halo 1 + 2 has sold over 13M copies which lead to the big hype. see what a fan base can do? gran turismo 3 + 4 has sold over 20M copies, and if you include the entire gran turismo 1-4 which has always been a playstation exclusive, it has sold over 40M yes Nadril, it is only a racing game. That racing games' last two games for ps2 out sold halo 1 and 2 for xbox. Final Fantasy and Metal Gear also has over 20M copies on their belt do you see what i'm getting at? ya they are sequels, so what? generally if a series is doing good and they release another game, it will get good sales ps3 also has other good games and same with 360 and want to know why i mentioned only gears of war, because it really was the only great selling title before halo. it is the only game on 360 that has sold over 2M copies since it's release. And as of now, ps3's resistance is the only one that has sold over 2M copies for the ps3. that was why i posted that, i am defending ps3, i'm not saying it's a better choice than the 360. heck if i didn't have either and someone asked me to make a choice, i'd go 360. but since 90% of you guys are ps3 bashers, i try to make their case. and dangit henman >.< you're not making the case any better by saying ps3 has tons of good games. 360's current line-up is by far the better.

did everyone's current 360 magically upgrade to get a falcon chip? no, the falcon model is gonna be on the shelves gamestop and ebgames don't just trade them out for the old ones you idiot fortunately i bought the elite which they said shouldn't have the ring of death problem. everything keeps getting repeated over and over 360 = now ps3 = future for the first year or so, pretty much the only standout marketable title was gears of war that was only out for 360 this is about to be ps3's first year in a week or so on ps3 it was resistance that had good sales and was an exclusive for the next year, they both have good games coming out but sony's looks far better by next holiday season and bad sales from the ps3? maybe compared to the wii but not the 360 as you can see, it's going head to head with the sales of the first months of the 360 which had NO competition. so don't be so quick to say ps3 is not selling well, the 360 had a whole year headstart remember. ps3 is selling just as much as the 360 did for the first year and with the ps3's big guns ie mgs4, ff 13, gt5. i wouldn't count them out and even go as far as calling them a failure

If the 360 is faulty, you can get a new one for no charge what so ever, and the number which have the problem is so bloody small the chances of it happening to you is almost non-existant. But then again you're content to pay more for less, a car salesman dream. Enjoy being ripped off through your life. and the 2 weeks that you don't have your 360 because of shipping it to them and getting a new one? on gi's interview with microsoft, it said that 1/3 of the 360's would have the ring of death problem. non-existant eh? oh and i have madden for ps3 and i'm borrowing my friends 360 version, i have not experienced any slow downs compared to the 360 version. they play practically the same though no rumble kinda puts off the ps3 version

wait til some exclusives like metal gear solid 4, final fantasy 13 and vs, god of war 3, gran turismo 5, the inevitable kingdom hearts 3 come out. these sequels of some of the best selling ps2 games have not been released nearly 2 years after the 360's release, it comes out with it's best selling game halo 3 and ps3 hasn't even broke it's 1 yr b-day and people are calling it a failure. it did have a whole year head start on them well compared to the wii, the 360 and ps3 could be called a failure since it came out later than both and is beating both of them in sales and will continue to dominate them. even with a year behind they caught up and surpassed the 360 in sales and haven't even released super smash brothers which will probably beat halo 3's sales records

i own the 360 elite and ps3 60 gig that first came out. to be honest, most of 360's good exclusive titles are fps like halo, orange box, bioshock, gears of war, mass effect. not sure about you guys but that's not really all i want to play. i'm not saying ps3 has a better line up but i've played enough fps on 360 that my brain is going to explode :wall: saying that, i can't really pick out a standout ps3 exclusive either. i've played heavenly sword, resistance, and folklore and they aren't something to rush to the store and buy a ps3 for. ps3 has alot more to offer if you go into it. free wifi is a big one for me. i had to buy 360 internet adapter which made the price for 360 go to $550 and a recharge station for $20 which makes it more expensive than the current ps3 80 gig. now add more for online play and try to say it's because the ps3 costs more. Not only that but if you have the psp, you can do alot more with your ps3, soon you can play your ps3 games on your psp away from home if both are connected online. it has remote play with psp already. ps3 is going to add rumble back to the controllers also. at this current point and time, i'd get a 360. when mgs4 and ff 13 comes out though, i'll be glad i have a ps3 360 is now ps3 is future

the numbers were one out of every three 360's would have the red ring prob ps3 is $379 for the 20 gig and $499 for the 80 gig not sure what the 360 is at but i bought the 360 elite for $449 so it isn't much more expensive

Wow - didn't know people actually got caught doing it. I used to do it - and i thought it was a stupid rule - now i never will again i've did it for ages, multi log, drop trade, transfer through friend, never got caught doing it. not small increments either, hundreds of millions or a few rares at a time. their detecting systems are worthless unless you are a complete tard.

i've owned all 4 of them and i don't know the current prices but it is the worst overall out of the rest obviously the most popular is ags and that's why it has the highest price. sgs is good for dk'ing and slayer, though if there were an equal amount of bandos and sara godswords, it's safe to say that bandos would be more expensive. +10% max and stat drop is a better spec than hp and pray drain you say the spec is good for pk'ing but only time it's useful is when they are running away, the rest of the time, the spec is useless.

yes i quit and made sure i wasn't coming back. every other time i wanted to completely quit, i always found my way back to the game. few years of a single game is more than enough for me. gotta quit sooner or later, i didn't plan on playing this game til i was 20+ so i broke every rule i could within a 3 day period with the intent to get banned. had many great times in runescape, over 800+ dragon/dk/whip drops and 300+ barrows items. it was not a spur of the moment thing, the only thing i enjoyed was hunting monsters and i've pretty much done it all. it became a game with no goals i wanted to accomplish. i could afford pretty much anything, all 99's, rares, everything most people want. call it a stupid way to go but i can say for sure that i will not be playing runescape ever again. now that i think of it, i've spent over 3k hours on this game, if only i had been smart and worked for those 3k hours. well atleast i had fun RIP APATHY

Right so the 360 is the only console with expensive addons :roll: . expensive addons that don't come free with ps3 you have to pay for online, doesn't come with rechargable battery like ps3. that g'dam $100 wireless adapter. etc Right, because the PS3 is expensive as it is. :notalk: Part of the reason the ps3 costs so much to make is because they cram all the additional stuff into it that you don't need. At least with the 360 you have the option if you want it or not (HD drive, for example). And towards your point of all those free things, ever realize that they're not worth buying the ps3 in the first place? The 360 Live is light years ahead of the ps3's sloppy online. And the rechargable battery costs 8 bucks, $20 if u want the charging controller stand. A tradeoff with the SixAxis' lack of rumble, but if you choose free batteries over rumble, go ahead. Although I am somewhat annoyed the wireless adaptor is so expensive. At least they give you a free ethernet cable, better than nothing. i own all 3 systems i'm not ripping on the 360 system itself, if i was then i might as well return my 360 elite and make use of the $500. i'm just annoyed that it doesn't have wireless. i don't want to leave my room just to play halo and don't want to drill holes through my wall. to be honest, i have one tv for my 3 systems. about 75% of the time, my ps3 is the one hooked on the tv. but not for ps3 games, i still prefer ps2 games to all of this next gen console games even though i'm pissing at $100 for a wireless adapter, i'll prolly go buy one in a few days. since i already have the system, it would be a complete waste to play halo 3 w/o online. there goes another pay check :(
