  2. By Skillers, I mean those who train skills, not just the level 3's. Also I remember a JMod state he liked the idea of skill complementing prayers. Then again they are sometimes very contradiciting of each other. Besides, Summoning is a combat skill, yet I can think of almost no skill it doesn't help in some way.
  3. I would arrange ways to talk to my runescape friends with other programs, like messengers or other games. Then I would buy 600 million needles and die in the abyss
  4. Recently I heard Jagex plans to introduce some new prayers soon... can't confirm this myself but I'm fairly certain I read it from a Jagex mod. Anyways, that's fine and dandy to get more of the same stuff, meaning turn on a prayer, desired effect achieved. I started thinking what prayer this newest batch will contain, and Ranged / Magic prayers similar to Melee's piety came to mind... (Hopefully these magic prayers would have a damage boosting effect like some staves now). Maybe even some damage reducers, a la the Divine and Elysian spirit shields. I've also often heard suggestions to make prayers to complement skillers, maybe allowing faster woodcutting or a better chance of high level herbs.. But what about something completely different? A couple ideas I had swimming around in my head were things like temporary imbuing of items; spending x prayer points to increase offensive or defensive bonuses for items for y minutes. Or perhaps blessing crop patches to increase not only crop yield, but experience yield as well. Running back and forth to an altar could offset the obvious advantage (There are probably better ways to circumvent this problem-- they escape me right now) Even something as original as using shade or vyrewatch corpses on items to give them a prayer bonus? (with a cap). This was just something I had been thinking about for a bit, and wondered if my fellow Tipiter's had some similar thoughts. Please discuss
  5. I think they do it on purpose honestly... Jagex addsdrops that look similar just to mess with you... Black sword on the bloody square = whip Steel 2hander = Granite Maul Black 2hander = Dark Bow Red Vambraces = Any Good Red Item Range pot = Arma hilt Might be a stretch but Brew + Magic potion drop = Sara hilt They even went as far to give Dwarf Cannoneers a Steel full helm drop, which sadly looks like a hand cannon on the ground etc... I think it's done purposely lol

  7. Very informative. Cool stuff in there. Hopefully that lovely compliment secured me those pencils!
  8. Perhaps some tweaks to the shops, or maybe saying "tough"
  9. I voted for Excl I hoped to see Martie's and Ant's up, they both worked hard on theirs as well. I also liked the Cops parody.
  10. But then the same logic would apply to my flared trousers and gnome scarf / goggles. Those extra mils would be of use. Not trying to sound cocky with this but money is not a concern of mine at all. Besides, EVERYONE knows RuneScape is just a huge fashion show.
  11. I could have sworn this was a Magic is underpowered! thread, looking back at the last two or so pages. I have gotten 6 Amulet of Ranging drops now, and I have sold all but one to keep for myself. Not because I need it or like Ranging, but because it's hot.
  12. My clan is currently participating in a Skills Olympics. A couple of our more dedicated members have put aside some everyday necessities (Read: Sleep, Food), as well as some leisurely activities (Read: Friends, Family) in order to maximize their experience output. Luckily, I am lazy, and I don't even join the Olympics. My questions are: 1) Is this normal behavior for the slightly above-average gamer? 2) When does this start to become a problem? 3) What's the worst example of this you yourself have done? I also mean in general, not just a Skills Olympics or some variant. ________________ To start, I will answer my own. First off, I don't know the answer to the first question lol. Secondly, I think it becomes a problem when it gets in the way of things like food and sleep, although some things can be spared in terms of other activities Finally, I have once gone about 19 hours straight playing RuneScape a couple summers ago, logging off only to eat, or use the bathroom, or by auto-log. This of course is one of my extremes. Please discuss.
  13. Your ranged guide is excellent, just finished a trip there with reds, my hourly rate was roughly that which stated it shall be in terms of using your algorithm. However, I noticed a few problems with your Dharoking section. Namely these two things: Dharok armour CAN be used to train defence Dharok's Greataxe is NOT Battleaxe speed, it is 2 handed speed. And for someone else who asked this question and was misinformed, A Salve Amulet / Salve Amulet (e) CAN be used effectively on the skeletons. And in all situations meleeing, EITHER version of the amulet > Void Melee Gear. The regular Salve gives a 15% accuracy and strength boost, making it the same as Void Melee. However keep in mind, a single amulet is quivalent to a 4-item set. Using the amulet in lieu of the Void, you now have a gloves, legs, plate, and helm spot availible to further boost your accuracy or strength. The enchanted Salve gives a 20% boost, making it superior to Void Melee, in addition to the previously mentioned bonuses. Great guide, just a few mistakes, none major.
  14. Gave it another go, nowhere near as good http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/2142/090615020427.png Feeling distraught, someone let's me kill them for 26k (Wasn't even my target).
  15. Here's my go at it Here's how cool kids do it Setup
  16. Now that I think about it, it seems slower than usual. Although it doesn't seem to be slow typically. Can't change them as I'm not at my computer. When I get home.
  17. Hello This guide well help you speed up your prayer training for those who are going for prayer levels, and plan to do it by using a POH altar of some sort. FULL SCREEN IS DOABLE BUT IT WILL SLOW YOU DOWN [hide=What not to use][/hide] [hide=What to use][/hide] STEP BY STEP (Pictures below): 1.Get to the altar (Light Burners if necessary) 2.Use the bottom left Bone in your inventory and select use on it 3.Click the altar, select Offer-5 or Offer-All 4.Allow two bones to be offered (Get the bottom left bone highlighted again for repeat) If you notice, the first two bones offered are done at a higher speed than any following ones. By taking advantage of this you shave off 10 - 50 seconds off your offer time per trip (Depending on if using a BoB and what type). Place your cursor in the middle of the bottom leftmost bone and right click. This puts the cursor above use, which we need. Right click where it says "X Bones" or right above it, that will place your cursor on top of either Offer 5 or Offer All (Both work). A Glory nearby is useful. MOUSEKEYS: Mousekeys or some variant essentially mimics a mouse click by treating one of your keyboard buttons as a left mouse button. This, is timed correctly, is like having two clicks in one, which is useful when right clicking and then selecting use, which you see me do in my video. 18. I use a warrior ring. It's my lucky ring lol I get all my drops with it.
  19. Yes, it's a bit old, I only uploaded it now. The boots were only about 230k at the time. It's been on another website since the day I got them all. I have no reason to fake the screenshot, it's fuzzy because it's a direct upload from the image on my YouTube, which decreases the image quality to preserve file size. I can upload the clearer, original one. EDIT: Oh, I see what you mean for the date haha. I set my computer's internal clock to different dates to get certain software to continue to work :|
  20. I never do this well when I'm not on task... But come to think of it I've never done this well even on task before. The thing to specifically look at is the killcount. As for the date, which I just noticed lol: I set my computer's internal clock to different dates to get certain software to continue to work :|
  21. Yeah I didn't so much mean to rate my extreme luck lol, but rather the drops. I understand anyone in theory could be so lucky.
