  1. Be AWESOME if you checked how old a thread is before you reply to it... Last post before yours August/Sept '09 Ok... and what does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Looking at your signature, I would have hoped the army would better check who they provide guns with.
  2. The possibility of Jagex adding special attacks to the weapons when they release the second Dungeoneering update just crossed my mind.
  3. Take a stroll through the RuneScape forums' stickied threads before you run your mouth on things you have no clue about. OT: Same as everyone else, they release things incomplete so they know what needs to be tweaked yada yada

  5. I have been playing since March 2001, over 9 years.. Quit off and on in between but never really left the game. It's something to do at the early hours of the morning for an insomniac. Recently I lost interest in RS, but the new Sailining minigame has somehwat caught my interest. I play maybe 1 hour a day on average now, or more at 12am - 4am when my insomnia is acting up. good luck irl
  6. LET'S ALL REMEMBER THIS DRAWBACK ALSO --- "Any damage soaked up by the shields will be noted in your chat window. 'Soaking' damage lessens the charge on a shield more quickly than usual." Right off the KB. Let's hope it doesn't decrease it by much. MY to buy list will be as followed, but in no specific order - Chaotic longsword Chaotic Rapier Chaotic Shield Arcane Stream Necklace (15% damage boost to magic attacksif you don't remember) Scroll of Life Tome of Frost Now we wait and see what the second batch of rewards brings...
  7. I fail to see why the hell this conversation over the Corporeal Beast halving damage or not is still going on. Make your own damn thread about it if it matters so much. I liked to read about the Chaotic weapons on this thread, not about the efficiency of weapons on a certain boss.
  8. I didn't read this whole thread save for the first page but I notice a lot of people asking why they would change the name of the game because of one update. They didn't. Elsewise it would have gone from "RuneScape: High Detail" to "RuneScape: Dungeons of Daemonheim", which it didn't. Let them have their cake guys lol
  9. The players had real dynamic shadows as well. I would finally play with NPC shadows on if they upgraded them from the current ugly circles
  10. Corp is weak to stab with a spear Corp is weak to stab with everything else, but damage is halved
  11. With Jagex's FAQ they put up today, they said there is a second batch of reward items coming. Perhaps even a lowering of the price of the current rewards. Makes me wonder if they'll get some 90+ weapons and gear added. Somehow I doubt it. They probably want to release those in a different update. At least we can see we are nearing some endgame items. Best part being they're untradeable and must be earned.
  12. God forbid he is just curious If he can hack me with just knowing the month and year I started playing RuneScape, then he deserves my account. Good on him.

  14. Someone out there got a Divine on Lootshare, someone solo'd an Armadyl Hilt, and some lucky guy finally managed to get a Blue Partyhat off the GE. All during when the bug was around lol
  15. i looked at the link and kinda guessed what was what, so i think this is it http://djpailo.tripod.com/famousplayers.html/
  16. Regardless of whether this thread's been done / is around, I will contribute I have played since Mid-March 2001
  17. Longsword will be slower than the rapier. Thus it is easy to assume more dps from the rapier than the longsword. It is also better than a Zspear for dragons too. But on monsters with high defense, that may not always be the case... For general use sure, but I'm talking about High defense bosses, perhaps even unreleased ones where speed isn't always top priority
  18. I'm stuck between longsword and rapier for general use... Attack bonus is something often overlooked that really should not be, and the longsword excels as opposed to the rapier. Both can be coupled with a shield, so I'm still unsure of which I will get. Eventually, I will just get both, as well as the shields. I have plenty of time and money to burn lol. Also, new mage ammies = 1100+ hits on ice strykewyrms, anyone?
  19. I am level 138 with a reasonably well off bank and quite a few expensive 99's... well only a couple, but all very expensive. I still go as far as to pick up that single bronze arrow on the ground, even a single gold piece on the ground... everything adds up
  20. Well I think the ironic part is he brings claws to speed up tasks, but doesn't use stat increasing potions.
  21. The bigger issue for me is that my inventory is chalk full with overloads / extreme sets, and super prayers, and I bring an empty yak with me to loot everything / scroll big drops. Inventory space is very important to me to pick up the drops before I can yak 'em.
  22. I hope this will give my heaps of money spent on herblore a workout... 1500 4 dosed overloads, 2600 4 dosed brews, 400 4 dosed extreme sets + magic + ranged, 1800 special restores, 1900 super antifires, and 1500 super prayers... ....There must be a reason I made those. there MUST be! Maybe if used properly, the stupid ******* herblore cape will be worth the 400m it cost me lol
  23. I only use my SGS anymore to spec at waterfiends / on task, at barrows, or at some bosses. When doing slayer, it's only used for spec, then back to whip + defender, or zamorakian spear. It would make the most sense for me to sell it, however I have grown attached to it. I bought it back when it was 120m and it's still the best purchae I ever made, simply because I made at least triple that using the sword at bosses, and in savings from not having to eat sharks / drink ppots that much more. It's usefulness has begun to expire, but it's still one of my favorite weapons, simply because without the SGS, I wouldn't have made all the money I have now to buy things like skills, armour, weapons, etc. SGS is my baby.
  24. Why are you insisting that anyone is fighting a battle? Or that its ME who is starting a conflict? I have posted my thoughts about health risks, and told you guys my setups. YOU are the one saying "Get outta here! Take your bull crap eslewhere" I have given you my philosophy on computer setup, and YOU are the one making it about a fight. I never said people need to change their lives around just because of unhealthy computer time. I just find it strange that in the year 2010 so many people can be ignoring all the knowledge that has been aquired about healthy lifestyles. Maybe you should ask yourself why you see my posts as argumentative, rude, or confrontational. All I did was compare the two ways of setting up your system, and tell you why I do it. Yet you think I am fighting. This "fight" is a figment of your imagination. My posts are intended for people who want to read them, think of them, and respond with something interesting. If this was a poll about "OMG whats ur specs?!?!?!" then it should be a questionaire, and not a discussion. Why the hell come on a discussion board then? You should go look for a board labeled "POST HERE IF YOU AGREE WITH ME!!!" Then, post after post, you can just say "Yeah!" or "Sweet!!!" That sounds so interesting. I guess I say keep it to yourself because not all opinions promote healthy discussion and it seems you can't get your point across without being condescending of others, be it directly or indirectly, which is going to do nothing but breed ill will towards one another. People can do whatever they like, it's their own life choice, you made your point very clear in the first post you made about it, I see no reason to drag it outfurther. I am sure most users would agree with me. And if I may enter troll mode very quickly... This is not serious business. Stop taking it as such. Let people do their own [cabbage], and if their health suffers for it, it's their fault. I don't need a second mother minding everything I do and insinuiating that I or others are ignorant because there are "healthier" alternatives to gaming on a computer.
  25. And I eat McDonalds regularly and am under weight. That doesn't mean that McDonalds is healthy for me, and it doesnt mean that, if someone is discussing food, I cant say "Yeah McDonalds is really unhealthy food to choose" Same thing in this thread. The setups posted all have desks that are too high, and monitors too close to the input devices. WILL these people have health problems? Nobody knows. Is it a RISK? Yes. Its just risks. Risks that I choose not to take, and I would like to encourage people to be concious of them. I never commanded anyone to do anything. What about seatbelts? Does wearing a seatbelt during a crash increase your chance of survival? Usually. If you dont wear your seatbelt, does that mean that some day, you WILL DIE in a car crash? No. But is it still a RISK to not wear your seatbelt? Yes. Is it unhealthy to not wear your seatbelt? Yes. Setting up your computer in a comfortable and natural position is analogous. Again I see this as a defense mechanism. You read about the things I am saying, and you know how true it is, but you just don't want to admit what a risk you put yourself in because you are stubborn and dont give a rat's [wagon] for safety. Your ignorance towards healthy behaviour is counter to your brain's subconcious instincts of self preservation. I am pointing out peoples unhealthy choices, and because they dont want to find the flaw in themselves, they try to point out the flaw in me. Unfortunately, I have not given orders to anybody and insisted that I am going to punish them if they don't change their behaviour. My messages have been purely benevolent warnings. But you percieve them as threatening and must interpret them as something different. Your statement is based on absolutely nothing. It is just NOT off the topic. Perhaps YOU should re-visit the original post and read it again. The OP posted his arrangement of monitors, showing his desk, keyboard, etc. And he didnt even say a damn word about his specs. The original intent was to show off his arrangement of multiple monitors, and he was curious what other types of arrangement people use. I am talking about my arrangement, whis uses a mousepad with a wrist support, a single monitor aligned in my FOV, a comfortable and supportive chair, and a comfortable keyboard and mouse placed at proper height and distance. Thats my arrangement, just like the OP's arrangement. If the "topic" was to discuss system specs then it seems the OP himself is off topic. Again I feel it is awesome to be called "off topic" when this misnomer isn't based on anything logical. I present a point of view that you feel threatened by, so in order to fend that threat you illogically dismiss my posts as being off the topic. When, in fact, all I am talking about is system arrangement, just like the OP. Sometime it's best to keep your opinion to yourself. You are fighting a losing battle here. For the most part the majority here obviously don't care if their computer setup harms them and to what extent it harms them or not. And I don't see it as your business either. The name of this thread is "What computer do you play Runescape on?", not "Is this computer setup healthy for me?" OT I play on a laptop with a 1366x768 Resolution, able to run RSHD at full settings, 4x AA etc. I am on win7 so I can conveniently drag RS to one half of my screen, and the other half fits a YouTube video PERFECTLY.
