  1. The goal isn't prevention by impossibility, it's elimination via hassle and time required. Yes, one could theoretically transfer gold using the trade limit, but it's too much hassle - there's easier ways for RWTers to make money.
  2. Crossbow animation makes it far too delayed. Magic spells work great at low levels as a surprise high hit when ranging.
  3. I was a clueless chump wandering around asking what to do. I ended up leaving after the first game, as it was obvious people didn't like that, and went to youtube to watch video guides until I got the hang of it. Oh, so asking what to do isn't learning? How are they supposed to know to call and what to say if no one's going to tell them? The instruction book is laughably inadequate, it in no way prepares you for the inventory or setup, and doesn't detail any sort of tactics.
  4. Disagreeing with each of your points wasn't good enough? How are you supposed to have a debate when you think your opponent agrees with you? Yeah, I don't recall any melee stakers either, and as mentioned before, anything coming anywhere close to the very high rates these stakers can commend would be laughably open to RWT.
  5. Do you really have that hard of a time reading my posts? I've already stated, quite a few times, that people like you and miner mean posting a simple XP table will lead to flamers who didn't bother to read my thread. If you've read it, you have no problem with my rates, so don't bother responding unless you do so.
  6. Sorry you took it the wrong way. Point being? They have to wait after clicking the login button, wait to buy members, and even leveling to 30-40 combat takes longer then overnight. Those who simply can't wait a few hours to be rich aren't playing this game in the first place. See above. It wasn't as if before they submitted a request to a RWTer and recieved their gold 30 seconds later. Take a look on any of the old RWT websites, middleman negotiations could take days. Oh, so now I'm wrong because people disagree with me? How so? If it's not enough money for someone who can only make 250k\h, how is it going to be enough for a high level dueler who spent thousands of hours perfecting methods (your example) and spends 200-300k per fight in runes alone? Old time stakers blew through millions of GP of runes in an hour, anything under 1m won an hour would be a huge loss for them.
  7. Like what? It would have to be enough to fine people several million per usage, and I don't really think that's going to help him bank his fire battlestaffs. Not that it matters, we already have something to do that for us :-# See above, the required fees would be roughly 5,000% of the items price to balance it for high level players. You really think your going to use that on a day to day basis?
  8. I don't know, you tell me? The question of why has nothing to do with the fact that it would be happening. My personal guess is because the risk of banning is ridiculously low. Pray tell, what does it stop you doing that 'ruins' RS, and how would that be remedied if RS was forced to close from RWT?
  9. When did I ever say that? What on earth does programming have to do with double clicking an EXE file? Key difference: They don't have to be playing. They can do it during a time when they quit, and 24m for a day of not playing isn't bad - hell, they could earn 15m+ overnight\through school. No, I don't. They didn't know how many people would simply macro to RWT; they had to kill it effectively the first time with strong measures, then relax them as they saw fit. There really wasn't any further reason that 6k or even 10k would fix, so it's not as if 3k instantly killed it.
  10. No worries, it's quite simple to program an undetectable autoer that simply duels every 15 minutes. Very hard to detect because of its simplicity. See above. Not really. Even 12k\h would be enough for 300k a day transfers; if someone didn't play for a week, they could easily transfer several million. However, Jagex decided they didn't need it that strict after it appeared no one would try and do that, and drastically lifted them. That being said, why do we need anything over 60k? I really can't think of legitimate purposes that even 250k would solve.
  11. Interesting, total. I'll have to try it at that spot. One question: why do people always use warriors instead of wealths? Is there something that says wealth doesn't work at that spot or what?
  12. Mod Edit:Please stop quoting posts which you have reported, as you know we will have to edit the post quoting it. All you need to do is report it, and await a moderator to take action. ~Rainy_Day My Edit: Sorry, I was hoping to keep him from constantly posting about his posts being removed, but I'll let the mods handle it from now on :P ~Compfreak847 It was an answer I posted many, many times throughout the thread. I don't like when people barge in making arguments I disproved long ago.
  13. Range is powerful all the way up to 99, no changes need to be made. What defence do they have against mages? And how many do they have at level 1? I'm coming up with 2, only one of which is the best and is still complete crap statwise.
  14. Please don't. I don't want this thread to buried in an avalanche of spam. As it is, people are forced to read the thread to obtain my rates, something they should be doing anyway. We'll get far to many posters coming in with "LULZ UR MELEEING DEMONS IDIOT LULZ", as we've already seen. Bottom line: Read and understand ALL of my thread, or don't waste my and everyone elses time with an uninformed post. Then perhaps you should look more carefully. I've already explained why I'm not simply throwing out an XP rate, it'll simply give people like you free reign to come in, read the last few posts and flame without a single fact to back them up.
  15. Could you point out the part where I said that no one but Jagex knew about their finances? I'm afraid I couldn't find it, and I certainly don't recall any statements made by Jagex saying FTP was earning them large piles of cash.
  16. Not seeing it. Perhaps you could elaborate. I'll re word things so that you understand them a bit better: #1: Jagex loses money when people sign up for FTP #2: Jagex knows more about their game then you do I'm not seeing the problem.
  17. Wow, never knew that. Thanks for clearing it up, darkdude :P
  18. :wall: Wondered why he hadn't responded in the day and a half I was gone  Fair enough, I thought you were talking about his second post, referring to Specters instead of Bloodvields. But they were examples of factors that must be considered in numbers, something we already did earlier. Where is the value of experience based on range vs. melee XP? And I am discussing 400k as a non-luck method. We aren't suddenly changing the rate after 73 pages. Fair enough, I'll consider it settled :) Those were before I introduced my own rates in comparison. I'm simply saying that we didn't use inaccurate rates for 40 pages and suddenly noticed it now. OK, sorry I didn't "get" it :) I could make the same argument against you. Why are you so tenaciously trying to tell me what I meant? You never said you always used prayers for brews, and I was operating under the assumption that you weren't using a cannon at specters. Then why is your information so inconsistent? First we agree that a canon is inefficient and not to be included, then include it in your equipment. I'm not sure which "version" to believe. They aren't relevant to this debate, but they are relevant to my first post. Nope, just an attention grabber. Reasonably accurate title, but "8 page analysis detailing how slayer derives less raw efficiency from training then Armored Zombies" just doesn't have the same ring to it  Least overall time when all factors but time are equalized using rates from other 'best' methods separated for XP, profit, and other variables. When casual slaying, not testing. There's a difference.
  19. No, I overlooked your post. In response: We've tested and debated all of the major, well known methods for most tasks. The problem is that speed is not the only factor, as some believe it to be. Speed, cost, XP gained, and overall time spent all must be factored in, and sometimes there's overlooked variables that change what's most efficient to something completely unexpected.
  20. Your not. You said you thought I was slow and inefficient, I responded with a post detailing why I wasn't. What part of that is hard for you to understand?
  21. Yaks are stackable, dirt cheap, and buyable for min price on the GE.
  22. So, what does this do to prevent high level RWTs? Player X, level 133 with most quests done wishes to purchase 100m from Goldfarmer X, a level 137 sweatshopper with all quests done and virtually all achievements unlocked. Sorry, but RWT was removed for a reason. Many reasons, actually: http://www.runescape.com/a=135/p=-EeKm0 ... cle_id=567 That being said, why do you need more then 60k every 15 minutes?
  23. Most would, the area between 250,000 and 60,000,000 is large enough for most people to see fairly easily. Both apply. When we're talking about a cost of 300$ an hour, it's not going to take many days of playing to either run out of patience or run out of money. But would carry a large penalty of being banned, cost real world money, and is not required for these players - they have spent years playing for the levels, and obviously have the patience to earn their own money.
  24. See my above response to that on the previous page, detailed at viewtopic.php?f=66&t=765267&start=1400#p6601905 Then again, how would you know?
  25. It's a personal opinion, we can't agree or disagree with him. Just saving him the trouble of posting this
