Still waiting for your numbers to differ with my cannon rates. Until then, your simply slinging opinions. Yes, I use sarcasm. It's part of my debating style, either deal with it, ignore it, or add me to your ignore list. Ok, issues settled :P
-
Yep. It's a truly massive amount of calculations and numbers, each with details of how they were obtained and the arguments required to end up with them.
-
Agree completely. That's why I just posted once saying I didn't like the direction Jagex was taking with it. Glad you see that now :P
-
Sorry, get you and Miner mixed up. One of the reasons I separate posts. Twice in 2 days, I need to work on that :? But I'm not talking about that. I was specifically referring to reaction time, so it should have been clear: I'm talking about when we're both standing in one spot, one spawns, and we both click to attack.
-
Doesn't Fist of Guthix have something like that? Some sort of visual aid anyway. Adding one of those for BA would be a good idea. Yeah, Jagex has been learning. Unskipable cutscenes are a good thing, but something like Gnomecopters detailing tactics would be even better.
-
But you've got to stick to the level requirements. An iron scimitar is ineffective at level 94 also. I'm just saying that FTP is fine except for the high end spells, which is namely a problem because they don't have any. Add another set of elementals and boost the requirements for the lower level ones :P
-
Because it's ALL tied together. Behind each number for a rate is a dozen pages of calculations show that that is indeed the best method. Any time I post something without the necessary tome of footmarks it ends up in a 3 page flame war over a subject settled months ago. Read the entire thread or don't respond.
-
True, but when they don't know what to do for more than 4 rounds, it's time for a little rereading of the instructions. Everyone needs hands-on experience, but some times a good read is better. Rarely. Learning where everything is on the equipment screen and the best tactics to use takes time. A video instruction of an actual game would be far better.
-
So are they in a good way or bad way. So you don't even know if you enjoy updates or not? Get back to me when you decide, otherwise your simply making yourself look foolish by flip flopping every other post. Since you seem to feel the need to finish every post with a personal insult, I'll be ignoring them from now on.
-
Gee, a level 35 spell is underpowered if you are 94 combat? Next they'll be saying that a bronze scimmy and level 15 strength is underpowered at level 124. Yay for TIF. That's my point. The other guy's saying that fire blast is overpowered, which is absurd. Which it is. Mage is hitting accurate 16s, melee is hitting frequently-missing 10s.
-
Your argument that I'm a laid-back, slow slayer as the reason for my numbers being different. And that has precisely what to do with who gets the goblin when two people are standing there waiting for a spawn?
-
Oh, so 60m an hour isn't good? If they don't have the patience for that, they should probably find another game. Just because you can't understand my point doesn't give you the right to flame me with asinine statements that don't even apply. Except that they could be making 3m an hour steadily. The people making 250k\hour have 10k trade limits, not 60k =D>
-
And what does that have too do with anything? More or less then you do currently. Ditto.
-
Good to know. It might come as a surprise to you, but 1,800 pages takes a bit of forum space to display =D> Then they shouldn't be trying to argue for or against said facts. Drop the "get a life", people are free to enjoy whatever they want. I do agree with you though, it's funner to train with variety then grind at one spot :P What? I responded to two separate posts on separate posts of my own to separate facts, it's within the rules so I'm assuming your trying to "insult" me with it as thusfar you haven't been able to come up with a "logic" argument.
-
The whole point of a Skill, is to work your way through and get the 99, thats what Runescape is all about really, because if there were no skills but monsters, Runescape would be boring.. Agreed. That's why I love slayer :P
-
Not very long. At 60m an hour, they won't spend very long before their bank account (or their parents) is dry. Hate to break it to you, but most people with all quests done can make more then 250k\h =D> Fine with me :P
-
So you don't enjoy updates, and no update has ever increased your enjoyment of the game. Sort of contrary to your previous posts, but as long as your sticking to it now it's fine with me. Good to know you FINALLY answered my question -.-
-
But it pits my view of my abilities against yours, and as it's me we're talking about, it clearly defines my position and overrides your secondhand viewpoint. Ever tried getting bandos KC? I'd advise trying it before you begin a debate about it. Since you obviously don't seem to know, we're talking about monsters with level 1 defence and 3-15 HP that are almost always 1 hit with 3-4 seconds spent waiting for a spawn between each kill.
-
Sure. Pages 7 to 36. They deal almost exclusively with my numbers and methods. Obviously you haven't bothered to read them or you would have known beforehand =D>
-
No, but it'd be worth it to spend 15 seconds losing a duel every 15 minutes for an average of 60,000,000 GP per hour. We're talking about people that can't make 250k per hour  All I need to do is take the maximum mature post streak for, say, the past 2 months and compare it to several years ago. There's simply no comparison, whole threads used to go without the spam\flame we see nowdays. Like I said, I've spent hundreds of posts and months of debating with old-timers like Salim without a single insult having been thrown. See above. So what? I'm stating a personal opinion, that the Rants forum has gone downhill, and backing it up with facts (In this case, length between immature posts for a large period of time). As long as I'm not specifically tailoring it to suit my opinions, I can set requirements at whatever the hell I want. Nothing more to say about the topic. The bottom line is that we have the best possible system in place.
-
Yep, it's a factor in any RS discussion, but one that can be minimized by exact rates. It's very hard to give numbers that match up across all areas of slayer if your just pulling them out of your behind. All numbers and methods are detailed with efficiency calculations earlier in this thread. Argue with facts instead of throwing generic insults

Good call, I'm at 275 from WGS :-# It's cable linked to via gigabit ethernet, but it's a newly laid line and gets me crazy low lag time. Then I get 20 pages of idiots telling me that I should be using a cannon at Demons. Been there, done that. The posts have details on methods used for a reason. #-o And you can't prove any of yours either. Therefore, it is utterly impossible to have any discussion whatsoever as the other party could be making it up. It's probably a good idea not to try and post in this discussion if your operating under the assumption that all of us are pathological liars. Could you show me proof that higher stats result in faster reaction time for grabbing monsters, 'cause I'm really not buying it...
-
Hello, you were going a step beyond that. Read my posts.
-
Nope, but you specifically said you enjoyed them. Clear enough? Take a look at costs vs. advertising revenue. FTP costs dwarf the revenue; the more people who play FTP, the more money Jagex loses. Logic fail. The goal isn't to make people want to play FTP, it's to make them play PTP. Yes, reeling in players to FTP is important, but it works against them in the same manner - it'll drag down players who decide they don't need PTP or don't have to upgrade. The problem is that PTP while PTP makes a profit, FTP hemorrhages money and is subsidized almost exclusively by PTP. Typical marketing BS. Jagex is a company, they aren't out to make people feel good. Saying something like that puts them in a good light, but notice that they are registered as a for-profit corporation.
-
And that has precisely what to do with low level FTP mage? Gee, a level 35 spell is underpowered if you are 94 combat? Next they'll be saying that a bronze scimmy and level 15 strength is underpowered at level 124. Yay for TIF.
