  1. Yeah, wallaskis are nowhere near what has been claimed. I'm assuming someone went there for a few hours, got decent charm drops but failed to actually count how many\how long he was there, pulled out some random numbers, and posted it on one of the H&A threads. Quite a few people seem to have jumped on it from there, but all of them are quoting numbers far higher then what you actually get. And lagging out there is bad news... Anyway, why don't people just range avansies and burst rock lobsters with the money? You'll get more XP all around.
  2. Hopefully your not referring to cannonin Wallaskis. You are right. Your rates are HUGELY off. By alot. Probably true, I guess I'll hope this gets hidden, or I'll have to block private messages. I never would have thought a single post could generate this :wall: Just go back to runescape and burst lobsters. Not like this method will do any of you any good. I'm assuming Greene's just trying to be a jerk and pay me back for being dumb enough to post it. Sad to say, it's true. I guess next time I'll keep my mouth shut... :? Assuming there is a next time... :XD: I've got a few other secret training methods, but I guess I'll think twice before saying any next time. :-# Seriously though, what's your point Greene?

  4. That's unusual, many I know knows at least a bit about the software side, but rarely anything at all involving hardware. I started in software, and am considerably better at it, but I know a fair amount about hardware also. I have only upgraded\repaired laptops, but am planning on building the next one from scratch. Hopefully that'll teach me a bit more, but to be honest I'm not a big fan of messing around with laptop hardware. Desktops are another story, everyone should build their own... It only takes a bit of time, and saves a huge amount of money.
  5. I know, I'm just hoping that this thread gets hidden, fast. I'm going to be flooded with PMs about it. And FYI, don't even bother, it's one of those things that 'too many cooks spoil the broth'. Letting people know will only ruin it and any chances of anyone using it. I'd like to state one last time that it's not a glitch, and STOP PMING ME ALREADY.
  6. How? If you actually found a method of doing this as youve said then im pretty sure a lot of people training summoning would want to know. You shouldnt have even brought it up, unless you were lying? Psst... This man's insane... Just look at his sig...
  7. Yeah, I've read PMs that person sent, so in addition to knowing him\her, I completely understand how she\he feels. Let this die or get locked :wall:
  8. I was referring to the summon healing, just to prove I at least had a clue about what I was talking about  Let's just let this topic quietly die now... Not a chance. Thanks. Ah well, if you ever figure it out, it will be instantly ruined. It'd either be nerfed or so overpopulated with eager summoners that it would be impossible to get anywhere close the the XP I described earlier. Good luck  (It is my fault, though.)
  9. EDIT: Ok, the full scoop is that I was an idiot and posted it. As I already explained, even if someone in this thread does figure it out, what good does it do... A bunch of people find out and it gets nerfed. I'm the only one inconvenienced. I'm somewhat annoyed at greene for it, but somehow, life goes on. I've learned my lesson - don't try to help friends out on forums. -.-

  11. Ok, good luck. Still, why'd you post in a Runescape forum if you have the technical skills to replace a laptop motherboard? It still makes me uncomfortable, and I'm not one to back away from computer repairs - I once mounted a 300$ hard drive with pencils and rubber bands when no mounting bracket was available. I eventually came back with a bracket, but it was up and running just fine like that. I'm a lot less nervous when I'm messing with my personal computers, though. Oh, and KEEP TRACK OF YOUR SCREWS. Dell has issues with screws... They sell their proprietary hard disk mounting screws at 10.99$ apiece, and they are difficult to find anywhere else. Even worse is leaving a screw hidden somewhere in the motherboard, wedged between two circuits :|
  12. Tell ya what: you tell me your secret familiar healing technique (I'm not going to tell anyone- I kept prayer flashing secret for over a year before someone else posted a guide on it) and I'll edit my post. I still think you must be mistaken though... Don't bother trying to bribe me into telling, do a little testing yourself - it's fairly obvious. If you don't believe I know how to, ask Inushakent. Sorry I brought all this up, next time I'll leave it in PM. NONE of it is bug abusing or against the rules, though... Just me being a selfish showoff.
  13. You really can't say thats it just seemed like it hit less so it does. If you want to prove that you need a sample size of at least 10,000+ recorded hits with both types, and not including finishing hits. Otherwise it makes no sense that one would hit lower than the other if they provide the exact same stat bonuses. Edit: Above poster is right. I love it when people say "edit", but don't edit their posts Yeah, my sample size is fairly large with all godswords but SGS (at least 5k hits with BGS, but under 1k recorded), but the streaks and 0 runs make it somewhat confusing when doing a small run. Actually the little editing time tag doesn't pop up if you edit it quickly enough. EDIT:Completely off topic, but meh whatever. Didn't know that. Oh, and on topic: AGS is fun, but +7 to your hit really doesn't help a whole lot. I always get people asking why I don't get one, usually level 100s or so, but they refuse to listen to my reasons... #-o EDIT: I guess your right

  15. How 'scientific' were you in your tests, and how long did you test it? From using mine for a couple of days (recording hits etc.), I've found that all the godswords are virtually identical in non spec, but all are prone to 'streaks' of hits and 0s. AGS spec seems to follow this pattern, but is less accurate then the other godsword specs, which seem to have a hidden accuracy boost. People need to keep in mind that on average, an AGS only hits 7 higher, even if you would hit normally - factor in 50% zeros, and the AGS is looking punier and punier. Seriously, how much is 14 or less damage going to matter in a fight, compared to 3 more damage but a much more accurate and defence draining BGS spec. Incidentally, the BGS spec seems to have been buffed up a bit - I tried it several months ago and was less then impressed, frequently speccing 0s with 91 attack. However, I have used mine for quite some time now with 95 attack and have been very impressed with the accuracy of the special, which is considerably boosted over the standard hit.
  16. Nobody smart enough to think of this would be stupid enough to randomly drop hints about it on a forum. This is either a lie or a math error. yeah seriously, I wouldnt expect someone to be talking about that unless they used it to get 99 summoning first... Sorry to have hijacked your thread, Inushakent. Anyway, would you two please edit your posts? I'll edit mine, and we'll let this thing quietly blow over. As you said, it was very moronic of me to post. My apologies to everyone.
  17. Nobody smart enough to think of this would be stupid enough to randomly drop hints about it on a forum. This is either a lie or a math error. I know, I know. I was just so incredulous that I had to tell someone. It's not an error, though... Although I could be missing something, I've successfully done timed runs with it, start to finish, and gotten around 10,000 XP + a few hundred thousand GP in about 15 minutes. Stuipd of me to post it on a forum, though. I'm not one to go around bragging, I'll edit my post if you edit yours (no point in editing mine if yours quotes it directly below :P )
  18. It's very handy at fight pits, where people like to beat up your titan and it doesn't recover HP after each round. Oh, and I just finished checking out a new method of training summoning. It averages out to around 50k XP\hour, faster then rock lobsters. Oh, and it earns roughly 1.15M per hour. I'm not lying. Sorry to be 'bragging', I'm just so stunned no ones thought of it that I have to go shooting off my mouth. I'm going to do a few final checks to make sure, then hopefully get 99 summoning and 100M or so in the next few weeks. My only fear is getting bored and giving up...
  19. Quite plausible, although the 70% CPU usage would lead to a virus assumption, but that is obviously not the case. It could easily be the signs of a failing motherboard\CPU\possibly RAM. Next to hard drives, RAM has the most frequent breakdowns, but the problem you described does not sound like RAM. Go for the free diagnostics, but repairing a motherboard is very difficult; replacement would be a better option. And unless your very technical, replacing a laptop motherboard is not recommended. A desktop motherboard is easily, I can pull one out, strip components and put it all back together in under 10 minutes easily. Laptops are nasty, though, and hard to find detailed instructions on as models from different manufactures vary widely. Still, I would recommend it - building a computer really helps you learn more about just what goes on inside, believe it or not.
  20. PM sent, and for the last time KEEP IT SECRET, I'd rather it wasn't widely known, although sooner or later a guide will hit RSOF and everyone will know #-o
  21. That's a major disadvantage to anyone who knows the healing trick. I'm still 2 levels away, so I haven't tried it, but from what I hear the wolpertinger can outhit any other summon monster non-speccing, including the steel titan. I've gathered that from at least 10 99 summoner's, and Artemis says so also (ask him for proof : ) Geyser titan spec is expensive, and it doesn't hit all that much on high levels. My only complaint about geyser is that I don't have any blues left (havn't gone charm collecting for a while), and the pouches take days to buy at max. Healing trick? Also, I'm definetely going to use a steel titan for it's def bonuses though. Or at least I think. Really? I can't believe that wolper is the best... maybe it's because of it's size. I know it out hits steel titan, non spec. Spending at least 100 hours at fight pits and meeting many people with it convinces me that it is indeed powerful. However, steel titan's spec is fairly good - it also helps confuse the opponent; being covered with 0s makes it much more difficult to keep an eye on health\hits etc. I've fought against it several times, and came away impressed. Iron titan also does OK, but wolpertinger has both of them beat. In PVP situations I use moss titan; it can't fight very well but the healing means 30-150 stackable HP per game, not interrupting combat. Plus it doesn't count as "eating", since few people know what it does - I heal all the time in the middle of fights, and only those with 80+ summoning have a clue what I'm doing. They just stand around and laugh. Sadly, it doesn't work with unicorn - people see that it's low level, and 2 spec it with dd++ :( If you don't know the trick to heal summons, PM me if you can keep a secret. Only a small group of people currently know about it, but it is NOT a bug. I'm guessing it was put in intentionally, just not posted in the KB, as it is very easy to do. But don't go shouting it out to all your friends -.- Pm me please. I promise I won't put it in my guide, lol. Only people I ever tell secrets to are my brothers, and they aren't into fansites, spreading, ect. They just... play. Are wolper's that accurate? Or is it just because... some other reason...? I'm not sure, I've only fought one for a short period of time. Problem is the only people with them are 138s, who'll turn around and attack if you touch their precious summon, so I mostly go on their opinions. Still, it could *possibly* be a mage based attack, which would pretty much destroy any melee. Have you seen titan hit on void\ahrims with its long distance range attack or special? I know they look like magic, but extensive testing has proven that they are range. The geyser will hit almost every time on void, and virtually every time on ahrims, spec or no spec. I've had someone try to farcast me in void, and the geyser spec took them down in about 5 specs + 3 hits of the gesyers own; on that armor it frequently hits 20+. Oh, and I'll PM it, but try not to tell\show anyone. REMINDER: it's not a glitch, don't go reporting me -.-

  24. Ever try to hit a high level player in karils with maxed mage bonus? Splash city. Think hitting every 6-7 casts. You could have +400 range defence, and they'd murder you, as you will hardly ever hit. The answer is simple... put on your torags, equip your bandos godsword, and spec. I've 3 hit countless rangers like that... the horrible defence karils provides means an almost guaranteed hit with spec, making the chances of a hit on the next few swings quite high. It's not unusual for you to attack a melee player with barrage, have a ranger start ranging you, equip weapon and spec\kill, and continue maging the meleer... before he is even unfrozen, rarely taking damage. Ahrims is far superior to void mage; torags destroys melee, karils top\torag legs\verac helm\DFS\rune c bow w/ diamond bolts\fury\dragon boots\accumulator is far, far superior to void range in PVP. This whole paragraph is invalid for non pvp, but so is the void mage\range defence argument :|
  25. Sounds like a motherboard\fan issue, probably requiring professional repair\replacement. They should be able to fix it, but for a price. You could also try something like Best Buy or a mom-and-pop store, but you will likely be charged an arm and a leg. Of course, you could always try flashing the BIOS at this point; it depends on the risks you want to take and how often it crashes. I would strongly recommend against it, though.
