The "Value" of Charms
Well, logs are tradeable. The "economy" isn't dead. They're easy to acquire, and they're easier to get than Charms. But you can't buy 150k maples and get 99 fm in an afternoon; besides, summoning is designed to be a hard skill, and the rewards are geared as such. Firemaking doesn't allow 5 hour DK trips or twice the Sara boss kills, but a single summon does.

Ok. Barrows is 17m (3350%) cheaper, with 46 (25%) extra slash defence. 25% greater defence is significant, 4% greater strength is not. 17.6m is significant, 526k is not. Consider that you are usually under attack by more then one person, but never fighting more then one, and that 25% is multiplied by anywhere from 2 to 8. Watching bandos plummet farther is significant, paying 75-150k to repair barrows once every 67 games is not.

Flag running in Bandos is asking for it from an ancient, but barrows is better? I flag run in Karil's, because I'm not stupid. If you're there to fight, you don't care how often you die anyway, so why NOT have the extra strength bonus? The only time dying matters is if you're running the flag, and only an idiot would flag run in melee armor period. When did I say you should flag run in barrows? Obviously Armadyl\Karils is the armor of choice. If your there to fight, you'd rather spend that time fighting rather then running back to fight and occasionally hit 1 higher.

Sounds productive. You sit there and let yourself be killed by mobs instead of actually doing anything to help your team win. If you were moving around trying to actually do something, you'd be surprised how often it fits to just grab more bandaids and stay on the move so you never get a mob on you. Yep, if you flag run underground your rarely killed. Then again, flag running in bandos is just asking to be murdered by an ancient. If you go to CW to fight, like the OP apparently wants to, barrows is far better then bandos.

I do flag runs, protect the flag holder or hold the flag, or chase down their flag holder. What do YOU do, hang around their spawn room with no bandaids wearing no armor? I fight players, chasing them around, frequently into their teams castle, where I am promptly piled by 4 100+'s, 3 of whom I take down with protect from melee before succumbing to the fourth and 2 of the other three, who have come back with fresh bandages. If you run\hide\barricade\freeze, you can sometimes get by without dying, but I'd rather spend the game fighting then trying to avoid being hit.

Avianise stratagies
My strategy (posted in the other thread) gets around 240 kills and 550k profit per hour at 93 range. I can stay for around 20 hours without BTP, roughly 4,000,000 hours with it, earning around 2,200,000,000,000 gp per trip. Let's see those 100s beat that. 2.2 trillion GP should be a hard one to beat. :twss: Oh, and at 64k XP\hour you'll end up with 256,000,000,000. 256 billion XP should get you ranked.

Your saying you never die, and 1 extra max hit is going to kill the flag holder? I don't know about you, but at level 132 I still die quite a bit in barrows. Yup, I'm saying that at 99 defense I die EXTREMELY rarely. When I do die I'm invariably in Karil's because there's a mage on me. I honestly don't remember the last time I've been killed by ranged and melee alone. What do you do, hang around your castle and run when anyone attacks? At 96 defence with super sets and barrows, I die 6-7 times a game.

Is whip+defender really still a comparable way to train cb?
Right now I'm at Zombie monkies with whip and defender getting around 110k XP\hour. DT Skeles are 80k. Both are MUCH faster then slayer, which is only 50-60 at the MOST. Whip+Defender is THE best XP.

Sure, but only for a level 88. For me it's 7th. For me too. Not all of us have 85 slayer.

The "Value" of Charms
Although I agree that they should be worth 5k+ ea, Dusties aren't the 3rd best dropper, or even close. 1) Rock lobsters 2) Scrabites 3) Waterfiends 4) Nechryaels 5) Black demons 6) Abyssal demons  7) Dust devils <----- #-o 8) Greater demons Edit: Probably missed some, lol. it takes much longer to kill a waterfiend then a dustie, you cant really compare. Black demons\scrabs are NOT better, I know that for sure. Nechs take 80 slayer, which sort of rules out that level 88 with a dragon long and full rune. Same for abyssal demons, putting dusties back at 3rd. Scarabs may not be faster for a level 88, but for somebody my level or your level, they're faster than Waterfiends. Black demons are faster than dusties, but... maybe not for an 88. Same applies for abbies and nechs I guess. I put Abby's up because of the possible money maker. Demon's really aren't faster at my level; anyway, the extra cost of prayer potions makes it worse. I'm still unconvinced about scrabs, though.

Assuming we're using the random month number, bursting takes roughly the same amount of time. 200 hours of bursting/30 days = 7 hours a day of bursting. So you can either spend 7 hours a day bursting + spend 250m, or do nothing and spent 6m, to get it in the same amount of time. I don't think many people would burst.

So you put an order in the GE for 6m, then wait a month and level the skill to 99 in an afternoon?

Runescape : good for you ? or bad for health ??
Radiation from CRTs is virtually nil. None at all from an LCD. In my business, I spend roughly 10 hours a day at the computer, almost every day. My 20\20 vision is just that. I have a faint touch of nearsightedness which I have always had but has not been worsening. I use good posture, and as such have never had any trouble with RSI or back problems. I'm in good shape and under-average weight, get plenty of exercise, and eat well. Physical risks from using a computer are virtually zero when common sense is used. Psychological damage from Runescape may be possible, but would be very hard to identify, and could only be proved through extensive research studies. I'm not worried.

Hooray for overexageration! But seriously, there's no way in hell that you can get 10 blues per green drag load(no, it's not happening don't give me the "its random anything can happen garbage"). I think that your guesses are pretty reasonable because 1k bursts costs a little over 1m and you get about 250 crimsons for that, so 4k would be spot on, eh? But consider the time it takes to cast the actual bursts - its as long, if not longer, as it takes to earn the money.

Bandos is a HORRIBLE idea for PVP. +6 strength isn't worth +66 defence, especially when considering that your likely to be piled, further multiplying the lack of defence. Torag top\v skirt are the best for amor, with karils top in invo - +5 magic defence isn't worth -7 to your melee offense. Basically, the best invo looks like this: Fury Torag plate Godsword Verac Skirt D boots C brace\Dark gloves Berserker\recoil Invo: rune c bow, karils top, super set, rune pickaxe.

A lot more people would train it if you could get the charms 38 times faster i dont know what you think the crimsons are worth, prob like 8k or so. but then you can make super fast money camping at a monster who drops crimsons frequently, just using melee, example:dust devils. in 1 hour i can get like 40 crimsons @ the dusties that would mean 8x40=360k only from the charms? alot of people would go camp everywere for the charms if they are that high. Last I checked, you were lucky to get 25-30 at dusties, meaning 200-250k profit. Note that dust devils are the 3rd best charm dropper in the game, are not that great of XP, and the profit from everything else adds up to less then 50k an hour, making the total 250-300k an hour. Stick with ankus, slower money but much faster XP. thats still alot, and i think the exp at dusties is good,i also like it that there is a chance to get a d chain drop. and alot of ppl including money like to make money while also getting ''decent exp'' ;) So what's the problem?

No! Fight the yak urge! Avansies are better XP, with a few hundred K an hour profit thrown in.

Money making?
Picking up coins from the respawn is 2 bill an invent; does that mean it's better? Yews are only ~60k an hour. NOT good, for any level. Train range\defence to 70, then think about making money with avansies.

 Crimson 300 each? Let's compare this to bursting. Bursting the 40k crimsons for 99 costs about 250m and takes roughly 200 hours. Assuming we can make 1m an hour, a rough figure for GWD, bursting takes a total of 200 hours + 250 hours to earn the money, so 450 hours to get the 40k crimsons for 99 summoning. Now, we can buy them for 300 each, so those 40k crimsons cost 12m, or 12 hours. We just took the time to get the charms for 99 summoning from 450 hours to 12 hours, a 38 fold reduction. Nerfed much? -.-
