got the void now what
If you want poor XP and not that great of drops, do slayer. If you want fast XP, do yaks. If you want mid speed XP and good drops do avansies. If you value slayer XP very, very highly and are willing to sacrifice both drops and XP for it, do slayer.

Runescape time
It's 1 AM GMT, but that doesn't apply to MTK. As for daylight savings, look it up somewhere on google....

I want a SGS....
Investing in a GWD item is a horrible idea, you'll probably lose more money then you earn slaying. Merchent with item flipping (buying low\selling high), do battlestaffs and MTK, and let the money pile up. I've been doing that ever since I had 5m, and I very rarely do anything else to earn money. I recently bought a SGS, and I hadn't 'earned' a penny of the money. I just do whatever I want to have fun\trains skills\whatever and stop at the GE every few hours, then buy whatever I want\need. No shortage of cash - it's far better then slaving away to get some item that you really want, even if you have to wait longer.

How to duo/trio Bandos using melee
Yeah, I'd go with godsword and tuna potatoes\sharks. Whip really isn't a good weapon for GWD bosses.

Moosecow1's Massive NPC Guide
I have an idea. How about we write the guide and then post it, not vice versa ;) In all seriousness though, this needs some work before it is posted. Start making it on a program like Microsoft Word, and only post it once it is long\good enough to be called a guide. And don't put the word massive in the title when the guide is 1/4th a page. I was a little disappointed when I clicked on it :ohnoes:

omg dont u just hate it when...........>_<
This happens VERY rarely when a server goes down. You can be disconnected and 'locked' in that server for up to an hour. I've had it happen twice in 4+ years of playing time. It's not that common...

A thirst for challenge
Very true. Parts of GWD have gotten too easy - I sometimes go to bandos just to mess around and have fun with no real fear of losing items. It makes me think - what if Jagex made a super, SUPER tough monster in multi combat with a guarantied 100m+ drop - but one that was so tough that a gigantic team of 138s wouldn't be able to bring it down. Something like Jad, but with a monetary reward and in multi combat. Obviously balancing this monster would be very tough, but its just an idea I had.

Skills over "fun"?
I was referring to what everyone called the typical "fun" in runescape, castle wars, fight pits whatever. I was saying that doing nothing but "fun" things WILL get old, and grinding can actually be fun too. (I look at it this way: The higher level I am, and the more blood barrages and armor I can afford, the better I'm going to do in a game like Castle Wars.) I can't stand the 'laid back' method of skills, though - I have to know that right now I am getting the absolute best XP possible. It's fine if I'm trying to have XP, not fun, but if I'm getting XP it had better be the fastest way. I don't like to mic and match. I do agree about the switching thing - but I've found that it helps to try and set deadlines for yourself (i.e. I'm going to metal drags in 3 minutes, regardless of if my invo and outfit. Sure, sometimes I mess up big time and go there with a defender, but it usually gets the job done faster). So yes, a balance of skills are better, and on the time when miningames are too easy - well, that can be fun, but only once in a long while. Running around 2 hitting level 80's that say 'lemme borrow gs plz' isn't a whole lot of fun...

Skills over "fun"?
That's very true - you've got to vary the routine. For the past year or so, I have been focusing more on combat skills (not that I have been training anything all that much), and helper skills that are useful almost anywhere, like construction. I really haven't raised firemaking, fletching, or slayer, as I don't see much of a need. Slayer is OK in certain times, but I always hate the feeling of killing hundreds of monsters when I know that I could be getting much better combat XP elsewhere. It'll probably be better after I max out. I must say, though, that there is such a thing as too many friends. I was at a state where I spent all my time running around, loaning my godsword to one friend, going GWD with another, saving a 3rd from pliers in the fight pits, hanging out with a 4th, all while trying to chat with 20 other people. It was just too stressful - I'd find myself turning private chat off just to have some peace and quite, but then running into angry people I knew at the GE in my homeworld. Now I've taken all but some good friends off, and I find it much more enjoyable.

Skills over "fun"?
There have been many, many topics about how people spend too much time training skills to actually have fun, relax, and enjoy the game with friends. I'm here to say that I don't believe in it. For the past month or so I've been doing nothing but 'fun' activities - some Castle Wars, quite a bit of Clan Wars, and a massive amount of Fight Pits. I'm currently working on my 5th fury, I've gotten hundreds of Castle Wars tickets, and if there was a ranking system for Clan Wars Free For All, I'd be quite high right now. My bank account has been doing just fine - between merchenting, MTK, and Battlestaffs I made a steady profit, despite spending millions on runes, food, and potions. I recently met a longterm goal, and purchased a Saradomin Godsword. I have made literally hundreds of friends - Every time I need to add a new one, I have to go through my list and find out who I talk to the least to make room. Up until recently, I loved it - but then I started to get tired. Fight pits was either crazily easy or impossibly hard, depending on if I was up against a team or not. Castle wars games were draning my runes to the tune of hundreds of k's worth of GP per hour, and were starting to get old. Clan Wars was just to easy from the start - if I took my pony and SGS, I could never be killed. Some things were starting to go wrong with my friends - Everyone was demanding my time, money, skills, and godsword. I finally got so fed up with it yesterday that I decided to go grind some skills for a while. I geared up in proslyte and borrowed a whip, then headed for Zombie Monkeys. I didn't train hard or long, paying so little attention that I rarely remembered to pot. 600k or so XP later, I glanced at my level table and was amazed - For the first time in weeks, I had actually accomplished something! It felt good just knowing I actually did something, even if I didn't level yet. It might sound dumb, but a sense of accomplishment in a computer game is worth quite a bit. So basically, what I'm saying is this - All play and no work makes DeviledEgg a dull boy. I'm not advocating that everyone go out and grind skills to 99, just saying that a balance of fun and training is better then all one way or the other. But you already knew that, right? ;)

The Wraith cause people to fight one another
Amen for high combat. Except most people don't believe that my melee stats are as bad as they are at 133. OT: Competition is what MMORPGs are all about. I'd like to see more of this, personally. It rewards only the high level players - Too many updates seem to be for mid level players with something for high levels thrown in (I'm referring to mid level as 100-120 and high level as 120+)

Daily Reset Schedule
Yep, its what I do. Time it just right so that you finish buying them a minute or so before, then stand and wait a bit. Your explorers ring says something about recharging at that time - I logged in a 7:02 to test it and it informed me that it had recharged. I don't know if it would alert in game, though. Make sure your clock is right down to the second before you try it with battlestaffs, though.

Daily Reset Schedule
This. My reset time was 4pm GMT, which was the same time that i first stocked the resources. I don't think so - I know I stocked mine several hours after that, and it still worked the next day.
-
Daily Reset Schedule
I don't think so - mine updates at 1 AM, to the minute. I finished the quest fairly recently, and I'm almost positive it couldn't have been that time. Very true, 24 hour things aren't affected. I don't know about DST - I'll test it after we change again. I would assume it changes it also, though. Still easy to track, only twice a year : The GE is not affected by this - I've been trying to do some testing, but all I've come up with is that it might have something to do with the trade volume.
-
Daily Reset Schedule
Yeah, although I don't bother with him. Probably should, beings that I'm usually on lunar. It's really helping me now, though.

Clan Wars: Great Update, Major Flaw
Yes, I'm sure its a very simple thing for them to fix. I think I'll take advantage of it next time, though... Going through a fight with unlimited prayer\hp\AGS\SGS specs sounds fun \

Daily Reset Schedule
True, but that topic's miles long and no one's likely to read it. Judging by the frequency of H&A posts about it, plus the general misinformation spread, I'd guess that this is a fairly important thing. I'd like to get it noticed. It's very handy for battlestaffs - you can get 2 days worth in 15 minutes if you start buying 5-10 minutes before 1 AM (So long as you time it right!, or use the money from MTK during the day and only put it in for a few minutes. Same with favor. I find it very handy, considering that I'm rather poor right now after buying a SGS, and that 1m from MTK comes in handy for merching at night.

Clan Wars: Great Update, Major Flaw
Himm, sounds like they need to make it like the funning arenas, where leaving\coming back does nothing, and only dying can restore you. Does special recharge too? Because it'd be great for maxing on a friend, if it did...

Daily Reset Schedule
I finally figured out the time at which all daily Runescape events (besides Bork) reset. 1 AM GMT, every day. I've tested it with MTK, Battlestaffs, and Explorer Ring. I'm sure others have figured it out, but it doesn't seem to be common knowledge. Just thought I'd share it - feel free to supply other things that 'recharge' once a day on that schedule. (That time happens to be 10 minutes before I made this post, just so you can translate it into your time zone easily : )

Fastest combat xp in game??
Zombie monks, using prayer pots instead of praying at altar, pray flashing piety\praying +15% strength running back every 10 minute to maintain aggressiveness. Around 115k XP\hour with a good summon - theoretically 125k XP max.
-
Charms - Not always worth picking up?
Yes, at the very worst don't pick up gold charms - your really not slowing your slaying down much, but they will help dramatically in the long run. Even if you don't see a need for a better summon yet, eventually you will - be it a combat, beast of burden, or fighter. There could be a new quest\summon\boss monster that a higher level really helps out. It's a good skill to train.

longsword beats scimmy so bad
Relax man, I've been doing 3 years of chemistry, I know how to control experiments and how to aquire accurate results, and the results say a scimmi is better in f2p and also better in p2p when no specials are used (which is stupid). the Dragon longsword special is far superior and we often found ourselves hitting 60+ in total very often with the entire bar used up, but then fails miserably when the real fight starts Ok, didn't mean to get anyone uptight : Completely wrong. We're arguing over quantitative, not qualitative data. One gets more XP per hour then the other, in every scenario. It's not a matter of opinion - its like comparing 50$ to 80$. This thread shouldn't even exist; we've seen a lot of proof about scimmy being better, but none whatsoever about longsword being better.

longsword beats scimmy so bad
How many duals did you test? Were your stats and armor exactly the same as your opponent? Did you use exactly the same prayer and potions, with no specials? Did you always attack each other at exactly the same time? The differences between the two weapons are small, and any 'testing' consisting of dueling a few times with a friend and beating him 3 to 5 mean nothing whatsoever. Scimmy is better, though - methodical testing has proved it. All the opinions and stats in the world can't change the fact scimmy has been proven better many thousands of times.

Disconnecting all the time!
Asynchronous DSL? If your plans good enough to be asynchronous, it probably isn't your connection itself. By 'boardband' I assume you mean high speed, not some sort of basement drum set. Do you use wireless? Try hooking your modem directly to your computer. If that doesn't help, request a replacement modem from your DSL company. Benchmark your connection and ping at a website like speedtest.net.

Attack Training with Toktz-xil-ak
Mabye its just me, but shouldn't he just buy a whip? He's training attack...
