  1. Don't bother. It's -10%. It's the only thing that would make sense. And if you wasted that much time to avoid paying 40k in runes.... :o
  2. Only with barrage - that lowers 15%, rounded down.
  3. No. You can assume it lowers their attack to 10% below their base level.
  4. Then why not spend the points on XP instead of void?
  5. I was of the opinion that it only took it down to the base level - whatever it takes it down by (10% for blitz, 15% for barrage), so 3 casts would take out the effect of a super attack potion and reduce it to its minimum level. I believe it holds true no matter how many people are casting, but I have not tested it so I cannot personally guarantee it. Having it take down 10-15% every time would be massively overpowered - barrage an opponent, and in the 6 casts you have while they're frozen take them down to 10% attack. Ever had someone try and hit you with level 10 attack? It's not pretty. Virtually any fight would be ended with a couple casts.
  6. He's using god spells - anything with ancients would be so inaccurate and expensive that it'd probably cost, rather then earn, money.
  7. Sad but true, its a similar situation at bandos, and (I'd assume) all the other GWD bosses. Jagex realized that magic was overpowered on regular monsters, and would severely off balance high level monsters, who rely on extreme defence rather then hitpoints to be 'tough'. So, they effectively killed off magic as a combat style for bosses, with the notable exception of Rex.
  8. May I make a suggestion? Fight Ankus instead. Better XP thanks to Salve, 4 times the profit, and no reliance on a d chain for any decent profit.
  9. Ding Ding! Here comes the quote train! For everything you mentioned, the rune defender is best. Seriously. The attack bonuses are so worth it. not really with def u do hit more but u take more damage the only actual dif between obby and def is that obby gives def instead of att boost For routine killing, it doesn't really matter if you get hit more as long as you last a reasonably long time without having to bank. The attack bonus that the rune defender, on the other hand, is very useful because you'll kill things much faster. You're basically trading a few pieces of food for faster kills, and in the vast majority of situations that's worth it. That should end that little debate. Defenders are just superior in all applicable slayer situations. Seeing as the poster refuses to use a defender for some reason, the whole argument is irrelevant, though. i have all 3 def, obby, and a dsq, as well as all 4 mage books i use def for easy monster such as cave crawlers, kalphites etc. easy monster but ones u wan't to get done fast obby for higher hitting monsters that r farther from a bank like terrordogs who r multy, hit decent, pray is cut short by a ton, and the 40 def boost is noticable dsq is pretty much taking up bank space and i use my books for bloodvelds, pyre fiends and water fiends and all other non drags that have mage based atts so ya i do use a rune def Obby? Terrordogs are a fairly good idea, except that the killing speed increase with defender more then offsetsts the small defence bonus. Then again, most people blacklist terror dogs - if not, they are actually quite easy to bank with. Books for bloodvelds? Use karils instead, that extra +8 defence from the Sara book isn't worth squat. Pyre fiends? +8 defence doesn't mean squat, and when was the last time you needed much food on a pyrefiend task? All good crush weapons are 2 handed, so shields aren't even an option at waterfiends (and if they were, +19 slash and +5 strength are much better then +8 magic defence).
  10. Around 1/80 for Armour and 1/250 for hilt.
  11. Her magic defence is insanely high. Think hitting once every 5-6 times at 99 magic with max magic bonus. You'll be lucky to hit once every 10-15 casts with 88 magic and +50 attack, making it far less damage then range at a huge cost, higher risk, and worse defence bonuses.
  12. The rule says nothing about how many computers are running - it says you may not log onto two accounts at once. If it wasn't breaking any rules, what would 'exposing yourself in game by getting reported' do? They won't ban you if your not breaking the rule, regardless of how many reports they get. Grey areas? I don't see too many grey areas. I see: It is against the rules to log onto more then one account at once. Hard to detect? Possibly. Against the rules? Obviously.
  13. Convince people that I'm clueless, or pretend to defend an impossible viewpoint, both of which go hand in hand.
  14. I'm afraid I don't believe in price manipulating, at least not on the scale that is currently believed. The RS market has been rising and falling long before the GE, with most item sin a steady decline. Recent game changing updates have only exacerbated the problem - of course the announcement of anywhere PVP worlds and (possibly) new, super powered armor would cause items to change in price.
  15. Given that in memebers we now have weapons that hit over 78 (AGS) or 91 (Dharoks), eating at anything below half health is illogical. Safer is now a rarely used term, and in general is a 'smart' thing to do - at high level membs, I frequently hit much faster then my opponent can eat. Thank the 'power creep' of members weapons.
  16. It is entirely against the rules, please do not spread misinformation. Thus the point of this thread is to determine if Jagex can catch you, not if it is against the rules. The answer: Probably not, but it could cause some red flags against your account.
  17. For everything you mentioned, the rune defender is best. Seriously. The attack bonuses are so worth it. not really with def u do hit more but u take more damage the only actual dif between obby and def is that obby gives def instead of att boost Defender is the best shield for melee, PERIOD, unless your using DFS for dragons. Regardless of the monster your fighting - that extra 40 or so defence isn't going to do a whole lot.
  18. Exactly, just ask. If they say no, ok, if they say yes? http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarticle.ws?article_id=2078
  19. It's more along the lines of 70-80k an hour at 75-80, similar to yews at 60.
  20. Considering how common a hilt is (let's say 1/300), that would mean you could get 2 in 9000 kills. We'd be hearing a LOT about it, even if the chances were 1/10th that. Youtube videos never were a reliable source of info, screenshots are too easily faked.
  21. What is this, the 6th topic on summoning charms being sold? Granted, this one is a tad different... I'd sell mine for no less then 10k each. I'd probably keep them anyway, though.
  22. It's close, I'm not exactly sure - it depends on your methods and weapon. Yaks are most certainly better, though.
  23. Bingo. Your not allowed to log onto more then one account at once. It's probably hard to detect, but could raise red flags and cause you to be banned more easily.
  24. Yaks\Avansies are better then PC.
