  1. And you get how many charms from Wolf Whistle again? Erm, 125 of them? Yeah, the quest reward would be worth 1m. What's that got to do with it? Obviously it'd upset the balance of the game, allowing even new players to make massive amounts of money, but allowing people who wish to train summoning to get 99 in under a day, for a small amount of cash.
  2. For training skills, I'd say my calculating-to-training ratio is roughly 3 to 1, i.e. I spend 3 times as much time calculating as training. Hence the stats :wall: I play HD, though. My laptop's DPI is too high to play in regular without lowering the resolution. Other then that, efficiency over everything. I do the fun stuff like fight pits, but training and playing don't mix.
  3. I want to work for them  Except that I don't like game programing, and I live in the wrong country :?
  4. I'm sure someone has, or we wouldn't know the rewards (unless they're in the KB). They really aren't that hard to get - I've gotten at least 3; I did the first and dropped the other two. No point really.
  5. Why? Str increases str by 3, accurate by 3 attack, def by 3 def, controlled increases 1 to all. So if you hit the monster less then 50% of the time, use accurate. Otherwise use str. Don't bother with controlled or defence; food invalidates it.
  6. IIRC Jagex confirmed RoW doesn't affect the odds of getting a champions challenge. Were was that?
  7. Scimitars are better then longswords in every way, except d long on stab at metal drags, or d long for spec. But dd++ has a better spec anyway...
  8. Prices jump around so much that any advice is quickly antiquated. Check out the prices for pots yourself, but the last time I checked prayer pots weren't all that bad.
  9. Team or solo? Your stats are low for soloing, but with a team you can learn with little risk. Unless your the tank, or your tank messes up, or you forget range pray at an obvious time, it's fairly hard to kill yourself. Note that it's not impossible - I've been killed by the mage minion before. It's very unlikely though, and only happens when you aren't paying attention.
  10. Yep, "personal opinions" do not count here, its a matter of raw damage output. If seeing bigger white numbers inside of the red splotches is worth less XP for you, go for the longsword. For everyone else who wants faster XP, use the scimmy. Unless, as mentioned, your attacking metal drags with stab. I'm still unconvinced that that's actually better, but I haven't done tests so I can't argue :?
  11. If i start i at lv 65 and boost with pie twice (same as 75 agility) how much will i fail at this course?? Cause its very good xp.... A LOT. I believe it only becomes better then ape atoll at level 83-86, don't even consider it with 65 agility. Also, if I'm reading this right, you plan to eat two pies to boost it twice. That won't work - stat boost do not stack, or we'd have people running around with level 10,000 strength ;)
  12. It's accuracy really isn't all that great, don't even bother with GWD. In PVP against high defence it will virtually always end up 0-0-0, whereas dd++ sometimes hits at least once. I think the high hits look better then two lower hits, that could be a reason :P
  13. Defence seems to do a lot more at higher levels (90+); until then the armor you wear is what determines how often you get hit. Get 70 defence and become a barrows pure is my two cents if you like meleeing, but a range tank seems to do very well. I was recently beaten by a maxed range tank... At level 109 combat he hit 43-44 on me with diamond bolts :|
  14. ROW helps all rare drops is the only info we have on it, and scrolls are so rare that no one can make the slightest personal recommendation. At least wear it. Other then that nothing you can do, I highly doubt talking to anyone or doing anything can help. But yeah, don't bother hunting for them. I also was lucky enough to get one at bandos KC; I believe I've also gotten one from an imp a while ago. I left both of them on the ground - I don't see any benefit from doing them.

  16. I like how on other threads you say you have no time to play rs yet you can make posts like this, liar. 2m for a week not playing much is alright but I would still say that given 2 hours a week you can make more going armadyl then doing this. Helpzorz! the stalkerz have arrived :ohnoes: Taking 45 seconds to try and offer constructive criticism really doesn't take too much of a bite out of my time. Plus I only said I was busy lately, meaning the last 3 days; normally I have a fair amount of time. I'm still not sure what advantages this has over flipping - I can see it resulting in a large loss if not done properly or if something goes wrong (i.e. a store where you can buy noted balls of wool for 10 gp each). It's always good to have alternatives, though.
  17. That's unlikely.. I went there with DH and mid 80s melee stats, getting in the 70-80k range. (This was a while ago) I forgot, sarcasm doesn't carry well in writing. Sorry if you were offended, muggi, I thought the sarcasm was obvious. :wall:
  18. Yes, I think that's the real error in all of these efficiency calculations. Even if you use the most efficient method, if you don't end up spending time to make the money back, it's not worth it. Although, farming/kingdom will yield a bit less than 100k an hour, so you only need to make 91k in your regular training. I'm taking a break from summoning now, but I will Ice Burst next time I need charms. My magic level is pretty pathetic compared to my melee stats anyway. [hide=Irrelevant]Just as a side note, how does one go about Ice Burst/Barraging Rock Lobsters? Waterbirth Dungeon, I know that. But where, and do you pray or use safespots, what to bring, etc.[/hide] Except that through merching or whatever, even someone who doesn't have the initiative to make the money can still earn enough in a few minutes per day to make it worth it. 91k an hour though? You could spend 1/5th the time making money... And waterfiends barely breaks even with piety, between the healing scrolls and repair\food\potion costs. Not enough to even make a dent on the 80m or so you spend on the shards\2nds.
  19. I'm pretty sure they were basically saying rock lobsters are faster exp, but cost more (obviously), and waterfiends are less exp but cost less. Seems to make sence to me. No, they were trying to calculate how much money/hour you had to make for lobsters to be better. Better means getting the exact same xp in less time. The end result was that, but the methods I used to calculate that were the same amount of XP with a different amount of time and cost.
  20. A non spam, intelligent post! It's a miracle! (Just kidding) Yeah, it was kind of confusing when I typed it. Basically, I tried to be as unbiased as possible - I took the XP you get from each method, and using the best method to train each of them, came up with an overall 'xp gain' for each method where the total XP gained from each of them was the same. I left costs and time out, so I ended up with method A giving XP X, taking Y amount of hours and Z amount of GP, and method B giving X XP but taking a different amount of hours and GP. So both methods end up with the same results - a certain amount of XP. The variables are the time and the amount spent. It's the only unbiased way I could think of to do it.
  21. This wasn't me trying to brag. It was me posting on some obscure thread in H&A to see if Inu would blab it all over, or if he could be trusted. The good news is that he didn't; the bad news is that Green read it and did. I'm still not quite sure of the point of this thread, as I've already stated that the so called 'method' isn't that great. Sure, it makes a nice profit, but the summoning XP can only be gotten for an hour or so a day. Either way anyone posting it would invalidate it. Still, I think I'd better leave tip.it before I'm tarred and feathered  [hide=Don't Read This]I joined here 2 years ago to make friends, but it appears to be the wrong spot - I've meet 3 people in total that I'd consider being friends with. Tip.it's got useful guides and all, but the community... has gone downhill, to say the least. I may not have been here very long, but it appears to be headed to the RSOF, albeit in a slightly more mature form. The mods and a few old posters are still friendly and helpful, but I'm unimpressed with the rest. Too bad there isn't any alternatives :-#[/hide]
  22. [hide=] Lol  That should stop the annoying PMs  Now this thread can *finally* die. I hope its quick and painless :-# Translation [/hide] I love your translations, even though they're against me they made me laugh  Your welcome to believe whatever you want, though. I'm happy to agree. This whole experience has somewhat annoyed me, though. I'd join zybez but they aren't any better. I'm thinking I should just stay off runescape forums :ohnoes:
  23. Useless? It's the greatest thing since veracs in the fight pits : And for the last time it's not a glitch, Jagex obviously designed summons to 'refresh' when that happens. The same thing happens when you log in like that. I doubt they would add that, probably just a mistake on their part. Anyways, I don't see how it is important, only for fight pits. Which I barely go to, and you only save a couple k every few games. Meh, saves quite a bit of invo space on pouches, and also helps in Castle Wars. Oh, and no hints to anyone about it... Your sworn to secrecy... :-#
