68 Summoning.
Slayer as a last resort if you like training it. If you don't have any money, waterfiends. If you have a little cash, or are able to earn it at a decent rate, burst rock lobsters. Bunyip is worth the extra cost of bursting, and it makes waterfiends and slayer much easier.

Chins v Red Chins
If you can make more then 387K per hour, red chins are better. Otherwise do gray chins, but there are quite a few ways of making more then that, so I'd personally stick with reds. Its not a matter of opinion; its just simple calculations based on which will take the shortest amount of time overall. I did these some time ago, during which both types of Chinchompas fell, but red chins more so, so I would assume the case for red vs. regular is stronger now.
-
How many red chinchompas from 96(and a half) to 99 range?
At 91 range, I got an average of 202.6 XP over 500 throws, and I've heard that it gets in the 250 range at 98+. Easy to calculate; take 13.34M XP - your current XP / 250.

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
Hi everyone, I'm back. 3 day vacation was great, now let's get down to business. As for the guy I quoted, your going to do some nasty things to that poor CPU overclocking it like that even if you do have an amazing cooler. Crank it back a few notches and watch it last much longer.

two things: 1. i dont know if he knows negative and positive. 2.And there is puffs and kleenex probably some other brands that are like target and dominicks and stuff. It'll still handle negative numbers. Sadly, you totally missed the point on the Kleenex joke... Kleenex is the brand name of a tissue paper, just as Windex is the brand name of a window cleaner. You can't switch brands of Windex, you can only switch brands of window cleaner. :wall:

Chinning
Void is not worth it, someone did a huge test on the RSOF and the results for black d hide and void were within 2k. Armadyl's small bonus is slightly helpful, you can take if you want to risk it but its really not that important. Range bonus is king here, take an accumulator and ranger helm\armadyl helm\robin. Look at it this way, every 3 chins = 1 prayer pot dose, and your range bonus is being multiplied by 9 different targets.

That? Dream computer? You can go far beyond that.... We're talking RAID 1+0, with 5 VelociRaptors at 10,000 RPM each, dual blue ray drives, quad graphics cards, Xfire sound card, 4 30 inch widescreen monitors in one desktop... need I go on? Easy to push the price well over 10,000. And even then, currently no computer that can be built or bought by consumers can run Crysis maxed out at even 1920X1200 (The fastest gaming computer currently tested by PCWorld\PCMag gets under 10 frames per second maxed out, and the resolution can go even higher on 30 inch monitors. Make that 4 of them together, and it'll be 3-4 years at least before we see a computer that can run that, despite it being out already for months)

Ive tried a new kind of windex lately, Im going back to my original brand. And D Jay99, maybe that was it. Atleast I can use the new graphic update  How many brands of Windex are there? Its like saying your switching to a different brand of kleenex : Anyway, 1.5 or 1.6 you should still be able to run it. A helpful hint for your next question of this kind is to press start -> run -> calc -> type 1.6, hit the minus key, type 1.5, and hit enter. If the result is positive, the first number is bigger then the second. If it is negative, the first number is smaller then the second. Hope this helps reduce future posts. :)

Void Knight Armor Vs. Regular Armor.
For low to mid defence monsters it does, but the +10% accuracy does not make up for the much greater range bonus of d hide for higher defence monsters.

That may have been a joke, but I agree :) No worries, already nominated this guy \

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
Most of it was good, except for the part about ram over graphics card. Your graphics card is far, far, FAR more important then your ram. As long as you have enough ram to run the game alone (which isn't much), you should be fine. The problem is when your graphics card has to use the main system ram; it is much much slower that way. Also, the dedicated cards are far more powerful then even the most advanced built in graphics (Although NVIDIA\Intel and ATI\AMD are aiming to change that).

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
Ironic how the creator of the guide on how to check if you meet the reqs is asking me if he meets them  Just kidding, the guide itself is very good at showing how to check your processor frequency, memory capacity, and graphics card. Kudos for quoting me on how the amount of "memory" in your graphics card is meaningless when you have integrated graphics, which may or may not not run Runescape satisfactorily. Sadly, the majority of the posts have been from people with shared graphics (like yours), and I cannot satisfactorily answer if that will run it. You'll just have to wait it out.

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
Can somebody give me a second opinion? At first I got a maybe, I wonder if someone can be a little more specific. Well its an integrated graphics card if your other pc specs meet the reqs ok then that should be ok. Have a look at its memory capacity No, integrated is the lowest common denominator, if that can run it anything can. Memory is a wildly inefficient benchmark for integrated graphics; I can configure an old integrated graphics chip that can run virtually no games to have over 1 GB of memory. Does this mean it can run games now? No, I will see a tiny difference. The cheapest and slowest 128 MB graphics card out there would far, far outdistance it. If Jagex tells us that integrated graphics can run it, literally all (99%+) of computers manufactered in the past 4 years will run it. This might be possible in 800X600 with all of the settings toned down, but at anything higher would cause such a drop in frame rates to render it (Little gaming humor there) unusable.

Can somebody give me a second opinion? At first I got a maybe, I wonder if someone can be a little more specific. Ok, I'll be more specific. The Intel integrated chipset family is a series of fairly wimpy graphics chips that use system memory instead of their own. They cannot run most games at anything but minimal settings. Jagex has not given details on just how much their game will take to run; based on the specs they give, it will require a dedicated graphics card, which your Intel chip is not. No matter who tells you what, the bottom line is no one really knows outside of the Jagex employees. Wait until it comes out. Until then, don't believe anything one way or the other; we really can't tell, even though I feel that it probably will not be able to run it, based on the number of textures and lighting effects. You almost certainly will not be able to run it in full screen at a decent resolution with anti-aliasing on. End. Of. Story. No one knows, and no one can because all Jagex has said is vague generalizations such as "most computers can run it", and a couple of lines of unspecific hardware requirements.

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
Technically its not a video card, its a graphics media accelerator built into the motherboard. And it just doesn't have the horsepower for any serious gaming; its no fault of Jagex. Sure, you can probably play a few games with the settings cranked all the way down, but consider that some computer that get 60+ FPS on low settings can barely hit 1 FPS on high, and you'll realize just how much increasing the settings scales up the power required. I guess it depends on how much Jagex allows you to scale back the new graphics, but playing on the old high detail isn't the end of the world.

How long do you think Runescape will keep running?
Yup, I remember the 5 year thing myself, at that point it would either be phased out, replaced by Mechscape, or upgraded to RS3, possibly as a console or download game (Yes, I'm sure someone will quote with a long argument about how their specialty is java etc. etc. etc., but I read an article about Jagex considering Runescape a a console game (They decided against it, but whos to say they might try it 5 years from now, with who-knows-how-different gameplay and graphics) A basic rule of thumb: as long as they are making money off it, it will stay around.

Power management; reduces your CPU's power consumption when your on battery and do not need the extra processing power. Most likely answer, unless you were looking in the wrong place for you CPU speed.

Yup. Getting into an argument with a noob about some point that he is obviously wrong on is also fun. I like to think that because I often spend more time analyzing, timing, and testing things that I have pretty good knowledge about most things in runescape, and numbers to back it up (My "Runescape Data Analysis" spreadsheet is over 5000 cells, and has drop, experience, and money rates for almost every aspect of the game)

Just so ya know, those specs really are not that great, you can get a computer for under 1500 with much better specs. : Still, no problems with runescape there. \ But let's not change this into a brag-about-my-computer-thread...

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
Well take Karils Coil. Why ever use that when you can replace it with something much cheaper like a saradom coil? Seems kinda stupid to pay around 30-50k repairing something that I can buy for alot less cheaper and have close stats to it. Ahrims isn't completely worth it either inless your pvp'ing. Most mages tend to "safe spot", so what would be the point of melee defense if 99% of the time you won't even be getting hit? Same goes with Karils range armor as well. If your using them for offensive capabilites, thats different, but for defense, it does seem kinda dumb. A range helm is the single item where barrows falls short. Its the bandos boots of barrows. As for ahrims, I'm currently at lobsters. I'm using ahrims. Everyone I've ever seen there uses ahrims. Is that because of its defence? No. Its because its attack bonuses are far superior to any other magic robe, and the savings in runes is far greater then the 9k per hour cost of repairs. Karils? Agreed, black d hide is just as good when your safespotting, or don't need to worry about being hit, but there really isn't a superior armor there besides armadyl, which is +5 range bonus for... 40M more with negative melee stats?

Monday Poll: More or Less Excited?
Disappointed by the low reqs, but I'm assuming that's just for the 800X600 regular size. And I was surprised with the anti-aliasing. Should look great at 1920X1200, no more taking my laptop off native just so I can read the text in runescape.

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
Just because most people prefer torso to torag's plate doesn't mean its right : PC is bad for XP, most high levels are smart enough not to go there. Not many players rich enough for bandos train on monsters so low that they never hit. If your praying, initiate is far, far better period. And the +6 strength is far, far overestimated, as I've pointed out several times already. I didnt say it was right, I just said its coveted... as for pc..That's funny because I(lvl 114) went there today to get the void range armour and after a few minutes and talking to a few high lvls, I found a 110+ world. It was extremely packed and boats kept getting full in 5 seconds with lvl 110+'s. Some may think that pc is bad exp but if you have a high lvl team it's not bad and it helps with skills like magic. So either most high levels arent smart according to you....or pc is not that bad. Btw I think you mean proselyte, not initiate :P but yea I know proselyte is better but str IS pretty helpful. So say what you will but +6 strength is still a nice bonus. Besides like many have said, bunyips are more than enough for most slayer tasks these days. For example I was killing dust devils an hour ago and I broguth 15 cakes....they lasted me the whole task and guess what? I was using my bandos :D And what does being rich have to do with training on high-hitting monsters? I dont see the connection... Yup, proselyte is what I meant.. But you can use the +5% prayer, and hit far higher then with bandos, while using far less prayer potions. As for PC, about the only reason is for void. The XP is less then at almost every other training spot, and is much more boring, and there are still better ways to train skills like magic, range, and prayer. For lower level slayer tasks, bunyip will heal you plenty, but I've already shown that even without eating bandos is not worth the cost.

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
Umm... I've seen about 4 posts bragging about their specs, and the rest of them either asking if their system will work or telling people if theirs will. And I thought not many would meet the guidelines, but it appears that many people do not, and many are curious if they will. Nerdfest? How does knowing about or having a good computer make you a nerd? Sorry, just a little annoyed when people label my profession as "nerdy". What would you do without your computer, or someone to fix it?

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
Agreed about the strength bonus, but I guess I'd better clarify about what I was discussing. I'm saying that barrows should be a very, very rare status symbol for only the wealthiest. Barrows, even when it came out was not that hard; now it is downright simplistic. No. I think Jagex wanted most of the RS population to use barrows for the sole purpose that they degrade. Whats the point of having the wealthiest people who can gain millions in sometimes a few minutes only being charged 300k per hour to use barrows? What's the point of the wealthiest wearing armor that doesn't degrade at all? But, what if most of the RS Population uses them? Then most of the money from Alchers goes away while people wear the superior armor. Its naturally for people to wear the "best" armor, even if the intial cost is cheap. Ok, what if barrows still degraded, and did not have the best stats, but was 200X cheaper then 3rd age, and 40X cheaper then bandos? Plus, your forgetting that the Grand Exchange was not out. So Players set the prices for those items. 3rd age is 200 times more because players saw it fit to be that way. That's only because its far rarer and harder to get. So it should have better stats. I don't see Barrows as a status symbol to only the wealthiest because for 1, their drop rate would be alot higher than they are now and they would also update the mini-game if players evolved to comfortable with it making it easier. Exactly, they should either make it rare or switch the stats with 3rd age so that the rare, expensive armor actually has good stats. I would gladly save up 50m+ to get good, rare armor that set me apart from the crowds, if it actually had better stats then the cheap, common armor. My armor is for use, not decoration. I think Barrows was a fun mini-game to provide most players with good, but costly armor to act as a primary money sink. Your also missing the point that not every noob can just go out and get barrows either. I have played for 6 years and never owned a 8 million Guthan Set intill I went GWD with my clan and got CoinShare with Shards. Thats how I got rich, but if I never done that, I would never have seen a Guthan set without hundreds of hours poured into the mini-game itself. Which DOES cost alot through prayer potions. What does that have to do with other players? Just because you didn't do barrows doesn't mean that every noob can't. The majority of players I see at the barrows are lower levels. I think they still hold their status symbol, just quite a few players finally got to the point of owning one and its been out so long that you think "omg everyone has one, its not rare anymore". 3rd age will still be rare, even after a couple of years. And not a status symbol. I don't remember ever hearing "nice torags". But truth is, ask them to buy a 2nd pair and they would probably freak out. I'm lucky to be able to buy all 6 sets, of course I don't for obvious reasons. Not all the barrows equipment is worth it. What pieces are not? Notice I'm talking about the armor, not the set effect. I'm also talking about the barrows melee, range, and mage armor as a whole. Together, they hold all of the titles for best armor around, except for karils which is "beat" by armadyl, with slightly better stats and a large negative melee bonus
