zamorak godsword or bandos godsword
No, it doesn't unless your attack is significantly higher then my 92. 4 dd++ specials will far, far outdistance a bandos godsword special, unless you get those rare lucky 50+ drains.. Then again, you can also get lucky with those 2-3 spec dd++ kos, I've killed a 125 with almost maxed defence bonus with 3 dd++ specs. It's random, but overall a lot better then bandos spec. As for monster hunting, what good is it if it hits ~1/4th the time at the most? And ranging zilyana is the best use for it... Special, step back, range? If your not going to use the spec anyway, the +10M isn't worth it, but the same argument could be made for AGS.

zamorak godsword or bandos godsword
Common Myth #14: ZGS is not a magic attack. I hit far more on karils then torags, even though I hit quite a lot on both. But still, I basically never miss on karils. If you hit anything but 0, you freeze. If you hit a 0, about 1/4th the time you will freeze anyway. I hear SGS has the same accuracy boost; I might buy one and try it sometime.

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
Get 68/79/88 Summoning (Easy with bursting at lobsters) and a SGS if you want, then sell your guthans. Forever. Unless you want to tank at bandos.

Map Speculation
World map? Mabye. Shows the real time location of every other player in the world? Not happening. Even friends would be too difficult to code; think of how small the dots would be. And what about the many areas on a different level? I.E. the GWD.

16 June 2008 - Development Diary and System Specifications
*sigh* I was expecting something a bit better then requiring 256 MB of ram and a 64 MB graphics card (I'm running on 4096 MB of ram and 256 MB graphics card) Still, any improvement is a good one ;) Scaling it up to native resolultion and using 4X anti-aliasing should be plenty for a good graphics card to handle... I'm assuming that the requirments are for the 800X600 window. Guess we'll see what Runescape looks like at 1920X1200 + anti-aliasing  Guess the $250 on the graphics card was well spent :

Runescape turns into Single Player. Could you survive ?
Yup, without player interaction runescape would die a quick and painless death. No teams, no friends, no PVP, no way to get good weapons\armor without spending months working for it like crazy, no sense of achievement if you do... Basically many of the things wrong with single player games, minus graphics and AI.

Familiars
Yes, very annoying when your trying to rush to the bank before your BOB dies. "No, I don't want to know that you only have 30 seconds left, I want to get out of my house and into the bank!" (When it drops items in your house, there is no way to get them back, as once you leave and come back they are gone, at least in my experience).

Helping Others - The best reward?
Yup. That's why, as a rule of thumb, I tend to help higher levels more then lower ones. Higher levels understand that you can't devote your day to them, and are smart and experienced enough to figure out most stuff themselves.

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
Yes, but then you have to bank like crazy, I prefer to just use +15% strength. Good point though.

zamorak godsword or bandos godsword
If your using the special, yes. If you use dd++ or whatever to deal more damage to players, it really doesn't make a difference. However, I cant really think of a situation where bandos godsword would be more useful then ZGS... It misses so much on the monsters it would actually help with that its not worth it.

zamorak godsword or bandos godsword
If you hit him before he gets there, you would have him anyway. If hes already there, ZGS spec won't help, unless the person being attacked runs, in which case he would pick a random person and punch for 40-60 damage randomly, unless EVERYONE knows enough to run away EXACTLY as the ZGS spec hits, which really isn't too likely. Its only worth for extra accuracy at bandos, unless your soloing and want to step in and eat.

Good, fast moneymaking
Fast? Tanning hides is about the same as nat crafting, minus the XP and the chance to earn more as you progress. Whiteberrys is somewhat better then either, but very very boring. At my level, I clocked green drags at around 600K per hour with my methods (Including +15% prayer, war tortise, super pots, and best possible equipment), plus ~150k worth of charms (what it would cost if you burst). I was happy with this "750K" per hour from green drags until I started GWD, it earned my DFS and ZGS. Plus, its fun, and around 41.6k XP per hour.

zamorak godsword or bandos godsword
I've used and tested it extensively on GWD, Barrows, Players, and on just about every hard or training monster. The special is amazingly accurate; to give you an idea, one time I successfully speced on graador 14 times in a row. Bandos my record is 7 0 specs in a row, 3 successful specs in a row (However, I have not used it as much as ZGS).

Helping Others - The best reward?
I was going to rock lobsters, and after spending over an hour, I finally found one. We went through the doors, then he admitted he had never actually done this. He asked if I could help and show him how. My first thought was "arrgh, there goes my next half hour of potential bursting". Luckily, I decided to help him anyway. I walked him through the dungeon, stopping for several minutes to restore his energy despite that fact that I had my terrorbird and scrolls. I lead him to the spot, and spent quite some time demonstrating just how to lure the lobsters, telling him how to improve his inventory and what to do if things went wrong. He thanked me profusely, and asked me to keep him added in case he had other questions, which I did. I hopped and started bursting when I realized - I was a lot happier about helping someone then I would have been about a couple dozen charms. Which leads the the discussion; is helping people really the ultimate reward, not skills, items, or gold? Obviously its only a part, but I feel a lot better about helping someone then I did about an achievement, such as 99 Magic. I suppose some people are entirely one way or the other, and it may not apply to a whiny noob that just wants free stuff, but still... (No, this thread is not about me being a good guy helping a poor helpless noob, just a discussion on how helping people is more important then most people seem to think. If you don't believe me, try helping someone yourself)

Someone pulled a switch-a-roo
Looks normal to me (Not the picture, but posts such as this one). Am I missing something?

Which is truly better, both defencewise and money wise....
Rune is the cheapest, Barrows is the best defence, Dragon is the most expensive with the 2nd lowest defence. Rune > dragon in almost every situation, as if your spending the money on Dragon anyway, just buy barrows. The money you save will pay your repair costs for a long, long time. Anyway, the food you'll save will more then make up for it.

Highest fishing boost possible
It takes a long time, but you can use Evil Dave stews to get +6, in addition to the invisible boost of summoning.

Junk Trading: Acceptable, Practical Practice?
Junk is hard to make, many people do not seem to recognize that. You can easily make more money by actually earning it then you can "creating" it by making most junk, except for the fairly secret ones. On top of that, Jagex is relentlessly fixing every junk item one by one, and sooner or later all that junk your planning to use will be worthless again according to the GE.

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
Why? How? What reasons do you have for\against it? A little more elaboration please? I like to have discussions, not "my mind is already made up, don't confuse me with the facts" :)

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
What am I going to do about it? Nothing. I'd just like to get the opinions of others, and see if there is some effective argument against or for it.

Sommoning Combat Off Option!
It already does. In PTP, the craters are higher level, and in FTP summoning doesn't count. Of course, in PTP those who do not train summoning have an advantage, but they can no longer go in FTP.

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
Do you even slay? If you did you'd know that with a Bunyip most tasks require NO FOOD now. So with Bandos and a Bunyip, you have the advantage over players without it. I respect your knowledge in other areas, such as the obviously Fight Caves, but in this case you're severely wrong. a small part of me just died inside....from laughter... Laughing at who? Muggi's right, bunyip does not heal enough for many tasks and you still have to eat.

WOOT, my 2nd 99 ftw (finally seemed like it took forever)
Gratz, mage is my 2nd 99 too. Didn't seem long for me though, bursting lobbies is good xp :)

Better mage xp here and I want 99 mage so I'm staying If you want 99 summoning, you'll get 99 mage at either spot, and I bet its faster mage XP at 7 lobs because of the far faster lures. I'm there right now, bursting as I type this.

Nice, but 7 lob spot > 9 lob spot IMO. I can lure with 2 prayer points, and only take ~20 damage per 1k bursts, plus never worry about run energy.
