Good/Best Bandos Setup?
Ow, yes; didn't notice the 109 combat. Get 120+, and go with teams from the forums, all of the 120+ teams seem to be quite good. I find that much easier the GWDA, I can find a team in 5 minutes at the most, and in 10 find one ready to enter boss room.

godwar bosses and drops!
Ok, these drop rates are obtained from one of the "pro" GWDers (Can't remember exactly who, but I remember he was one of those 5+ trips a day people) Armadyl Hilt: 1/400 Bandos Hilt: 1/250 Zamorak Hilt: 1/250 Saradomin Hilt: 1/200-250 (He got a lot of sara hilts, I think it averaged out to close to 1 every 200 kills) With 88 summoning, you can camp at sara with a trio team (30m+ hilt split) for over 100 kills, hopefully averaging 3 sara swords and 1 hilt every 2 trips. Saradomin is hands down the most profitable; if you get good drops at Armadyl it can quickly pay for itself, but the hilt seems to be very rare; just ask icecube. As for bandos, in my experience it tends to be 1/50 for armor, and 1/200 for hilt, but currently I'm on a 500+ kill streak, so getting a bit disgusted with it.

Good/Best Bandos Setup?
Wow, first one the equipment is EXACTLY the same as mine, except I use ROL (+4 attack? ewww... Ring of life has saved me an estimated 20M, partially thanks to the dreaded whitescreen.) I can't really help on invo, I bring a titan and with a 4 man team last 100+ kills and usually never touch the food I bring, so its all centered around 3-4 pure sets, space for drops, and sara brews\restores for tank. And the spare brew in case tank misses and I have to tank for a kill. Off Topic: I'm on 500 something dry graador kills, I'm about ready to go to sara (Charms banked for 84 summoning, bursts for 88 in bank =P~ )

Boo's guide to making 800k+ per hour! Closed.
Just a side note, change all those "800K+"es to "350K+"es, at its peak it was 700k per hour, now its 350k, very boring, takes a while to buy and sell, and trains no skills. Trust me, I used to tan like crazy until it stopped being profitable enough even with the crafting guild.

Grand Exchange Merchanting Guide
Himm, I think most of the players that have enough cash to do this effectively already know about it. I used to do a similar thing, although the several *secret* items that I found made a nice 1-2M per day with a 10M investment. Now that I have far more then that, I could probably make quite a bit more, but it really isn't worth the risk to me. Besides that, all armor besides barrows, which is still unsteady, is headed fairly steadily downwards. I'd hate to have 100 ahrim's robeskirts in my bank ready to sell the day Jagex adds a new, more powerful armor. (Think 3rd age kite when DFS came out, its recovered but still is trading far below what it used to be, especially considering how much all of the other 3rd age pieces have moved since then, thanks to merchants).

I wanna trim my cape too!
I thought I remembered hearing something about a mod saying that achievement diarys will trim quest cape, but it won't be until they release several more, as it would currently be too easy.

good easy money monster
Sorry, but this is very, very widely known. You'll have to drastically expand the guide, and provide lots of detailed, helpful information that most people don't know that well. I.E. XP\Profit per hour at different levels with different weapons, how to get there, where the best place is, XP and profit per hour vs. at other places, what food to eat, what stuff to wear, plenty of pictures, potions\prayers to use, strategies, extra info like what worlds to use and how many people are usually there, how aggressive they are, what to do when they stop being aggressive, how fast the spawns are, when to bank, what the drops are, frequency of the drops, market price of them, what they can be used for etc.etc.etc., separated and organized for FTP and PTP. Plus lots and lots of pictures. Then it may be useful to some people, but make sure it is all accurate :D

What happened?
Main update is removal of wildy and unbalanced trading, read the updates and post in help in advice next time, no one really wants to spend half an hour typing up 10 paragraphs on all the updates. ;)

Making Money off of Riots?
Actually, he could hire someone for cheaper, so it may not be account selling. Still, less then 12k per hour really isn't that much, even for a newb. There are so many better things to do, and who's going to trust that a level 12 or so is going to carry out his side of the "agreement"?

Saradomin's Encampment Guide
[hide=] yes it is worthwhile to take any of the level 79 summoning titan in addition to a beast of burden. I have invos for those in the guide. I have yet to test taking just the level 79 titans, and hope to do so soon. The zammy godsword is worthwhile for solo as well. Instead of taking a sara/zammy holy symbol, you can wear sara d hide top and take zgs. Zgs would also be handy for the boss, providing the spec hits. If you plan on doing a lot of sara gwd, and have money sitting in the bank, it is a good idea to buy a zgs. They are very helpfull. But don't spend over 70% of you bank on it, only buy it if you can do so without having to worry about cash etc. afterwards. [/hide]Money really isn't a problem, if I need it I earn it right away. I think I'm going to get 88 summoning first, I've got the charms for halfway already and am doing ~3k bursts per day. Then I'll get 90 prayer and do some trio, along with some soloing. I'll probably resell my BGS and rebuy my ZGS, I really don't like the bandos spec. Zammy is very very accurate compared to it, and the accuracy boost alone seems to be better then bando's defence reduction (I've missed 8 bandos specs in a row on Graador, but successfully specced him 13 times in a row with ZGS. Too bad the spec doesn't help much, but its good for finishing him off when he's redbarred and your team can't seem to hit him.

Making Money off of Riots?
Yay, 12k per hour. Multimillion dollar business? No. But if we somehow got a bunch of people to "sell" rioters, perhaps we could stop these pointless riots. Or get Jagex Mods in there to perm mute all of the whiny noobs, many of whom are using autotypers and breaking other such rules. Some riots have valid points; I have nothing against those, but I am against a mass spamfest full of autotypers causing the whole area to lag. If you want Jagex to change things, post in a reasonable manner on the forums. Rule breaking whining and rioting is not going to help anything.

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
It never got as high as 3rd age; it was reasonably high but has been steadily declining. It appears to have *sort of* bottomed out. With the introduction of gravestones, the truly expensive items like warspear and Verac's Helm, the ones that have a low high alch value and the other armor pieces protect over, are no longer recovered so there is fewer of them then the other types. Still, I wouldn't invest in them; unless Jagex makes some much-needed tweaks to the barrows minigame, they are simply to easy to obtain and probably will rise little, if it all.

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
People just don't like to read, do they. Please don't just scroll down and see me listing the stats of the items; actually read what I have to say about them. Notice that I stated that the discussion is on if Jagex SHOULD have made barrows the rare, valuable armor, instead of 3rd age, not that it should be high priced just because of its stats.

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
Try mixing and matching. Your calculating torag stats as just the helm plate and legs, but using the dragon shield, dragon boots, and barrows gloves. Add the dragon square, boots, and barrows gloves to your torags, and for a much lower cost, you will have significantly increased defence (Or forgoe the dragon shield for a rune defender and get better attack stats, better defence stats, AND lower cost). I was thinking about updating my post. I'll post the stats below but since most people who use torags use the hammers I wont caculate defence of a dragon square with it. So lets try this again, the stats of torag: Stab: +300 Slash: +301 Crush: +274 Magic: -5 Ranged: +298 Summoning: +126 And then I wear around the stats: Stab: +260 Slash: +275 Crush: +271 Magic: -2 Ranged: +243 Summoning: +151 Strength:+16 Prayer: +0 So: Stab: - 40 Slash: -26 Crush: -3 Magic: +3 Ranged: -55 Summonong: +25 Few things, it still doesn't beat my dragon by much, i'm still saving loads, and I have a little better magic defence which can determine if you live or die in a pvp minigame. I know i've won a match in clan wars from that before. I'll stick to my dragon, thank you and goodnight. Umm... Are you kidding me? Ok, your only allowed to use your dragon with a dragon 2 hander. Let's see, I've seen... 5 people over level 100 using FULL torags? And several hundred (or thousand), who, like me, are getting a far better defence bonus then dragon. Let's stack it up, defencewise (Attack stats are the same.) We'll use Neitiznot helm, in this case the strength bonus is probably worth it. If we used torags helm over D med, it would be an obvious disadvantage for dragon. Let's see, using dragon with, say, legends cape; you get a total of +279 slash, for approx. 10M total. Swap out the dragon chainbody and platelegs for torags, and that number jumps too +322, a 43 difference and easily noticeable. However, the cost goes from roughly 10M to roughly 3M (At the most). And I doubt you'll spend more then 7M repairing it, so you'll be able to enjoy all the defence bonuses for much less cost. And dragon is no longer a status symbol; I see many players following other players in dragon, asking if they can't afford good armor. Dragon is ok statwise, but barrows is significantly superior. Notice I was not mentioning the set effects for any of them.

If Jagex realeased 80+ armour...
See, that's the idea. Make a new armor that is better for some things, and worse for others. A godsword is a good example; good for PVP and higher defence monsters, but worse then a whip for low defence monsters. Something that didn't offer very large defence bonuses, but had some sort of chance to reduce the severity of hits, might be a good idea. It would take a lot of testing to achieve this though.

If Jagex realeased 80+ armour...
Himm, I agree. It would help limit power creep; Jagex seems to be afraid of releasing anything clearly better then barrows anyway. I like the damage reduction idea, although it would have to have some sort of control, or places like the fight caves would become too easy. It makes sense; after all, medieval armor also protected you from getting damaged as much, not just avoiding injuries altogether. But then again, its a fantasy based RPG - it doesn't have to make sense. However, I think the armor should still be rare; otherwise there will be no use for lower level armor like Barrows, if it is indeed better then barrows. While 3rd age is somewhat rediculious, that has something to do with the price being frozen in the GE. Look at dragonfire shield; rare, but very powerful. More items like that are what I'd like, especally with unique abilitys such as the DFS.

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
Do you even slay? If you did you'd know that with a Bunyip most tasks require NO FOOD now. So with Bandos and a Bunyip, you have the advantage over players without it. I respect your knowledge in other areas, such as the obviously Fight Caves, but in this case you're severely wrong. +6 str is only hitting 1 or 2 more damage, but it adds up... to so little it shouldnt matter Himm, according to Tip.It Max Hit calculator (Flawed I know, but better then nothing), with high level slayer equipment and a reasonable (92) strength level, it takes +5 extra strength bonus to raise your max hit by 1. Counting the 0's you hit, on average bandos is increasing one half of your hits by 1 (Very rough, just using for an example). With a max of 38, assuming you hit an average of 17, or 68 XP, bandos will allow you to hit 18 half the time, or 72 XP. This means bandos top and bottom, on average, will give you ~1/35th more XP (Obvious from the beginning figures, just thought I'd go through it the long way to help people understand). Let's assume you can get 50k XP per hour in any given combat stat while training slayer. 1/35th more means you will be getting 51428 XP per hour with bandos (Exact starting figures do not matter much; it all scales), or 1428 more XP per hour. At 50k XP per hour, it will take approximately 130 hours to get the 6.5 million XP from 92 (halfway) to 99. With bandos, it will take 126.4 hours. So bandos top and bottom is saving you (roughly) 3.6 hours from 92-99 in a given combat skill. Multiply that by 3 combat skills, and you get a total of 10.8 hours worth of saving, from buying a 27M item. Now assuming that item drops to half price in the time it takes to train from 92 to 99 in all melee skills in slayer (Could be far more or far less, depending on how fast you get it and market prices at the time), meaning that you lost 13.5m to save 10.8 hours. So if you can earn more then 1.25M per hour, and you think that you will never have to eat more because of wearing bandos instead of barrows, its worth it. Again, someone will probably try and poke this full of holes for assuming so many things, mainly the large price drop from initial purchase to selling, but it is easy to redo the calculations if you want to substitute what you think are better numbers. Of course, this whole thing is only for discussion purposes, and besides that if you have spare cash sitting around and you never plan on having to earn money again, bandos is probably a smart choice, saving you ~10 hours in maxing out your melee skills and slayer. Now watch the flames come one way or the other for my uncertain figures. :| Still, this does not include extra eating; there are plenty of tasks where you get hit more then bunyip heals, and unicorn and titan scrolls still cost money.

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
Killcount may take 20, but that allows many kills. One kill takes maybe 3 minutes? The tank uses potions, so as a fighter, I rarely RARELY use a single shark per kill. Either way, its not 200k in potions His melee attack is single focus, so only the tank has to worry about hits. Range pray means you are rarely ever hit. Please, actually GO THERE before you start trashing it? *Points to signature* I have around 2k bandos kills, and counting. I was talking about soloing, not team. Granted, many will find a team a better choice, and I did mention it, although probably not as much as I should have. Still, you really won't make that good of profit unless you go with a high level team (Don't even talk to me about massacres...), and soloing is often a better option for those high level players. I did some solo bandos, along with plenty of team kills, and decided soloing is the way to go. Now I've for the most part moved on to Sara, but I still believe that you will earn more soloing then with a team. Outsanity wrote: muggiwhplar wrote:Barrows is only cheap just because it's been out for years and because like you said it's easy to obtain Most items in RS are valued by their rarity rather than stats. Competition among other similar items hasn't really interfered much, though robin hats are getting pretty cheap now because of the Arma helm As for Bandos, besides it being rare, most people in this game are OBSESSED with str bonus... I see tons of high lvls training slayer with a fighter torso rather than a guthan plate and using rune or drag legs instead of a verac skirt... nobody seems to realize that +4 str isn't worth it at all when you're going to be taking MUCH more damage and the time you spend eating rather than hitting makes barrows armor better Do you even slay? If you did you'd know that with a Bunyip most tasks require NO FOOD now. So with Bandos and a Bunyip, you have the advantage over players without it. Yes, I do, although I only started recently. Yes, I have the summoning level for bunyip. Yes, I've bought bandos. No, I haven't seen the +6 strength as any real advantage. And I have found that there are plenty of tasks where you get hit for more then a bunyip can heal (Hence why I'm getting a unicorn). Admittedly a unicorn isn't really standard equipment for most slayers, but even then is +6 strength really worth that? You'll probably end up spending more time earning money to buy the bandos then it will actually save you, and once you've maxed out your combat skills it is virtually worthless, and will only keep dropping in price. And remember people, this is an opinionated discussion, so although a gigantic comprehensive test on every monster with every combat style and every armor will show one winner, for now this is about opinions, not "right" or "wrong".

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
I've thought of that a lot, but I figured merely suggesting it would result in an instant flame war. Still, I like it. Nerfing the drop rate, secretly taking sets out of the game. Easy with the grand exchange; they could let just enough buyers get it to keep them happy, and make it so the price rose by the max every day. Of course, it would introduce a lot of GP into the game, as there are a lot of barrows sets, but it would be worth it. The sad truth is that I'd rather pay 50m+ for barrows armor then 500k; that way I actually get an advantage from earning the money, whereas with bandos, its mostly looks and very slight use. Now I'll sit back and watch all the doomsayers and Jagex haters flame me and point out the many ways that it would cause the economy to crash and burn. Still, I think its a reasonable idea, although Jagex would have to be very careful. Considering I don't really examine the Runescape economy in detail, if, say, Duke Freedom posts telling me exactly how and why it would destroy the economy, then my opinion would be with him. Too bad he had to quit.

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
Himm, good point. It brings up another discussion; does Jagex think that they made barrows armor too powerful and common, and do they think releasing an armor that was even stronger in every way would unbalance the game?

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
I like the bucket anaology. Other then that, though.... Ok, what does Guthans have to do with ahrims? Ahrims is maging armor, Guthans is melee armor. Most maging armor is cheaper then most meleeeing armor, as more people melee then mage, and Guthans has a good set effect whereas Ahrims doesn't. Anyway, your missing the point of my argument, I guess it's time for another clarification. I'm asking why Jagex didn't make "3rd age" have the stats of barrows, and vice versa. Would be more logical that the rare, cool looking, expensive armor should be better then the cheap, easy to get barrows armor? Did they make a mistake, or is there more reasons behind it?

Sommoning Combat Off Option!
Ummm.... Summoning gives a reasonable advantage in combat (Ravenous Locust and Unicorn are good without fighting), so no. Like has been said before, you can't turn off other combat skills; why these?
