Are you a loyal democrat or republican
The point isn't that there would be X (being more than 2) amount of parties that can fight equally for the biggest number of votes. What I'm concerned is that in one or two party systems people with certain wishes aren't heard at all. Currently in USA for example the greens can't really get into the political game and get the "real" amount of people into power who represent them. Iraq war is a great example. With the limited amount of choices people who are against the war might need to choose do they say "no" to it when it might be against the other beliefs on subjects like immigration policy, education, health care, etc. This leads into a situaton where you most likely will vote against things you believe that are right just because you give more value to other things. You mentioned the presidential elections of Finland as one example. It's not a miracle that the president can be said to come from the 3 main parties, but that's not the whole case. The more votes the "leftovers" get, the more clearly it shows the opinion of the larger scale of people. Dsavi for example took Swedish as one example. Having a succesfull party that campaings in Swedish and for the swedish speaking minority gives a clear sign that when doing the decicions they can't be ruled out. For example in USA that would mean the same as spanish speaking people having people with proper power. Who represents them now in the congress for example? Basically no proper organization, yet they are stronger than zero for by pure numbers.

Russia+S Ossetia+Abkhasia in a war against Georgia
Russia has driven approximately 150 tanks over the boarder and bombed military targets near the capital city. Russians have already taken into control many areas of Tshinvall which is the capital of South Ossetia. McCain has asked the safety concell of UN to "force" russian troops out of Georgia's soil. Pretty damn much action against a country that "has nothing do with the conflict".

Russia+S Ossetia+Abkhasia in a war against Georgia
Officially a war hasn't been declared yet (if things don't get solved fast, it will be a matter of days or like in Iraq war, it may not even do it. The ethnical cleanings Lavrov has been talking about might be the way to "justify" this war, no matter do we get proper proof of it happening or not. The timing for this conflinct was well prepared. Russias has had "practices" just behind the boarder for months now and with olympic games and US presidential elections the time for a military conflict/war was perfect: the public interest is in other places at the moment. There's a lot of differences but this has been the situation I've been afraid of since Kosovo. It's clear that the "new" Russia is not going to be our tool anymore like it was on Yeltsin's regime for example and it ain't gonna let things happen it doesn't like. - It's a vital area for the oil companies to control. Russia's economical rise (and everything related to it) are mainly the result of oil business. - Power struggle against NATO and EU: look what happened in Kosovo, how NATO is getting to Russia's boarders and how USA is trying to put Russia between its fist and the wall. This is one way from Russia to show that they are back in business. - Only thing Russia can lose is the public opinion, which however already is so badly against USA that during this moment (look for the upper chapter) it's pretty unlikely for them. Georgia (alone) attacking Russia would make no sense, Russia attacking Georgia was only a matter of time.

Russia+S Ossetia+Abkhasia in a war against Georgia
2nd edit 9.8.2008. Just a while ago Abkhasia joined the front against Georgia. http://www.russiatoday.ru/news/news/28706 edit 9.8.2008. According to the president of Georgia it's now a war and not a conflict. Thus I decided to remove the question mark from the title. For few months it's been more or less clear to anyone who has paid any attention on Russia that they might attack against Georgia. Many planes have been in Georgia's air, separatist areas of Georgia have been more active on looking for autonomy and there are few thousands of russian peacekeepers (with the permission of UN) in certain areas of Georgia. Within last few days the military actions have however gotten out of hands. Some tens or hundreds (according to the source, the number of victims still seems to be unclear and rising) have already lost their lives. According to Saakasvili (president of Georgia) around 150 russian tanks have crossed the boarder today and 4 planes have been shot down. According to Russia's foreign ministry there's an ethnical cleaning going on at South Ossetia (one separatist area) and according to Medvedev they are doing anything to stop it. What I know of, no western sources have said a word about anything like that happening, however. So far at least certain military airports have been bombed which is a normal strategy when you're going to launch a full war towards an enemy. The things are getting interesting. When Kosovo got its independence, Russia gave quite a straight ultimatum to Georgia: if they don't let the same happen to Abhasia and South Ossetia, Russia will make them to let them get what they want. According to few sources Russia has already given nationality to many south ossetians and are now using that as an excuse to defend "russians" in other countries,. Georgia has been getting closer and closer to NATO within last few years. This hasn't pleased Kreml as Georgia is not only a boarder contry, it's also an important area for oil companies. USA has been defending Georgia and most likely they aren't going to let the tanks to roll to Tbilisi. Most likely an open war between Russia and USA won't happen, but this ain't gonna do good for their relations. This military action is same time a straight note to other boarder countries that are planning to join NATO: be close of doing it and soon you will see the war on your own streets. During the statue issue we saw pretty much the same, except back in then Estonia was already a Nato country and Russia didn't want to take the risk back in then. Hope this gets solved before civilian targets are under fire...

Are you a loyal democrat or republican
Neither one. Why? - I don't see much of a difference between a one and two party systems. The opinions are far too limited and different social sections are just ruled out. Get a proper multiparty program before you preach about democracy. - When the political raid is money vs money with different marionetts every few years I don't see the point in supporting either one. - I want my political leaders to be able to change during the changes. Currently the parties are too tied to the places where they are. - I wouldn't see a real reason to support a foreign party in the meaning you probably were looking for. Before replying please think this: do you blindly follow one party even when it's against your own opinions just because you've always followed it? Would you rather be a loyal suffering tax payer or a person who actually sees improvements in the society?

Meat lovers vs. Vegetarians
This kind of usage of religious terms is one thing that makes me either laugh or cry depending on my mood. Go to google for the meaning of agnostic (or read this post) before using them. Yea, I know really well that dogs are eaten in some parts of Asia. Infact I've tasted dog meat along with many other meats. What I've seen, the problem for us is that certain animals are morally something that we just can't bite and swallow. If we get into the healthy food part, lets think it like this. An average westerner got either no idea or no interest in healthy foods. There's loads of people who still prefer McDonald's more than a wellprepared food containing good nutritional values. Many people even in this topic are claiming that getting proteins from vegetarian food is virtually impossible. The food we are eating are the ones that we as consumers have chosen to. As the newests trends in the food prices have shown, food is just as much a trade instrument as oil for example. We as consumers buy things and the stores adjust their supply with our demands. Try putting dog meat for example to the store and you can be sure it affects negatively to your brand or image. That again depends on the culture. In many various places people survived by collecting stuff from the forests (berries, seeds, roots, mushrooms, etc), hunting or fishing. The point of eating in those days was just to survive and you ate what you or your people just got into your hands. Now we are in a stage where (westerners) are too fat, can get more food than they will ever need and they only decide what to buy by their moral values, bank account limits, trends and tastes. When it comes to food, even our pet dogs eat better than these "cavemen" who you were relating to. It proves that different animals have different roles in the nature. Some animals have evolved into carnivors and that's it. They don't have any moral norms to follow, they eat what they can get and that's it. It's funny how many religious people claim they aren't animals when we talk about evolution and same time justify eating meat by comparing ourselves to the animals. We can do our own decicions and our bodies have evolved into a stage where eating meat is just one alternative. That differs us from other animals when it comes to nutritional needs. We do not need meat to survive unlike many animals. My point was to correct the verb when we were talking about cows as a food. Anyways I don't agree that cow meat is delicious, more like normal and boring. If you want some delicious meats, go at least get something else than cow.
-
Meat lovers vs. Vegetarians
With this logic: - There should be some kind of a higher power that can decide what's best for us and decided that cows are there for purely our food. As an atheist I don't believe in this kind of statement. - We wouldn't have any ethical or moral problems in eating them. If that was the very truth, we wouldn't even have this discussion. - Cow meat should have advantages when compared to other foods. Are pigs, bears or reindeers for example put here for other reasons? What about dogs or cats? Are they here for other reasons and how do you justify the reason of having certain animals on this planet? I'd rather use the verb "killed". With this kind of a logic it seems to me that you also accept many dictatorships. Just because something doesn't know things could be better, it doesn't mean they shouldn't have any rights. Many pets, south koreans or even americans don't know what's going on, does that justify their misthreatment?

Petitioning Jagex:please read, you are needed :p Open Trade?
If it was so easy, it would have been done already. We've gotten many updates to remove the trading, even risky trading, so I don't see why would they give up now. Especially the date would be horrible: If I gave an expensive item to my mate, how could Jagex detect the rwit in the first place? Selling for example a santa for real money would look the same as giving a santa as a christmas present at their logs. This kind of free trade time would be waste of good things: rwit would return for a short period of time and all the sacrifices we've done would have been done for nothing. If you need the free trade to show your christmas spirit, think again your motives. Even though I'm far away from being religious, for me christmas is also something else than giving or receiving material.

Petitioning Jagex:please read, you are needed :p Open Trade?
Destinied to fail. Why? Because: * It would boost the rwit a lot: it would be most likely the last possible event for many people to get rid of their pixels. Wilderness and duel arena got fixed so quietly for a reason: to make sure people don't just empty their banks just before the update. If warning would be so easy and the best way to avoid rwit, it would never have even gotten into so big deal. * Petitions have never worked. You were aiming for 50-100 names, yet Jagex didnt give up when there was hundreds of players protesting in one world and a lot more than 100 posts at forums. We've seen this in many cases and I don't see why would they do it now and risk a major source of their funding due it. Giving up now would also just cause more riots, petitions and arguements in the future. * 50-100 Players are nothing. Even if they all were paying members, it would mean pretty much nothing to Jagex if they all quit. That's so small minority of the RS population that they don't have any real affect to the game or how its run.

Runescape Classic Fact Sheet -updated july 29-
Yes, he appealed roughly a month or half ago and it got denied. Same happened in 2006 so I assume we ain't gonna see him out for at least a year or two. -3 church arsons - 1 attempted arson - causing one death (fireman) - murder - Escaping from the prison He got 21 years (max in Norway) in 1994, I don't know enough about the law system to say how will the escape affect or will it have any affect on the total. I at least assume it was one reasons why his appeals to get a limited freedom have been denied.

Jürgen confirmed to me he sold his char to some lithuanian and he was asking for my help to get it unlocked when it got unlocked/banned. I don't know its current ownership relations or blackmarks but the real owner wasn't in charge of the account for at least some period of time.

Runescape Classic Fact Sheet -updated july 29-
Don't think any of the very first 99s in their own skills got banned in rsc. In rs2 that has happened with Cursed you for example. However it doesn't change the fact that many of the top people in their own skills (some even being one of the first ones to 99 in that) did cheat and also got caught for it. http://officialzezima.com/board/index.php?showtopic=33 No point in that. I personally never use it. Could have been 89, lack of coffee today and almost bed time added to a rough work week + no weekend break insight cause weird things.

Runescape Classic Fact Sheet -updated july 29-
I wouldn't say mourners or undeads were a bug in the very meaning of the word. They were definately overpowered and later got nerfed for a good reason but I wouldn't say it was cheating. Not to mention Pekoni (3rd lvl 99 ranger), Maniac 666 and many others used them. Tiwi was banned for sure. And anyways Unit got a good point there. If we look at the banned high lvl chars from the first years, the list is quite impressive. X Ace X = top miner and an autominer. Fkedurmomm = 99 hp, one of the first ones to it. Publicly admitted sharing, got an offensive name and got banned for autoing magic. Angel 2002 = knife bug Sir Beachy = High lvl melee. Gave char away - wiped in the [Caution: Jagex Rule Violation] wipe Iampenguin = One of the first to 99 smith + high combat.banned for char sharing Krest = Temp banned and smith lowered from 99 to 90 due giving char away. Gormis = One of the first 99 smiths, banned for char sharing. Who da best = top combatant. Multiple rule breakings Sunjon - Overally a good player, high combat. Wiped for [Caution: Jagex Rule Violation]. Muhahahaha = Top hp until got banned for char sharing. Bonebreak6 = Sold his char, later tried to withraw it and it got banned. Rush wind = Overally a top class char, high lvl smith. Kingleonardo = High lvl archer, rs historian. The list would go on and on. If we look for example the time when Zonghui became the #1 in hp, both #2 (muha) and #3 (wbd) got later banned. Same for #17 (sunjon). That's 3 guaranteed bans from top 20. Most likely there's at least few more but I don't want to name names as I'm not 100% sure on them. Same from magic when Blue had just gotten 15m xp: #2 (gormis), #6 (Iampenguin), #7 (Tiwi), #9 (muha) and #10 (sunjon) have all been banned. That's 50% ban percent from the top 10 and all bans happened within 1 year from the pic. Same goes for many other skills: if we look at skills that were launched before p2p, I'd say at least 30% of the people who were in top in *insert random month here* 2002 got banned before summer 2004. edit: They only banned few certain bots. Some bots used different functions (and were not publicly available) and many people used or had used color clickers which were virtually impossible to trace with the old rsc engine. Also the tracing started only from one date: chars that had autoed before it didn't get caught due the way how the tracing worked.

I'm relatively sure Iampenguin got his 99 smith before Musashi and if I'm not completely remembering wrong, he also got banned before Musa got 99.

Runecrafting: experience
Runecrafting has been with the same logic in xp since the release of that skill. I don't see the point in adding extra things like that to it at this point. Also if it was modified, the xp per rune should be cut down. Why? Because: 1 air = 5xp lvl 77 = 8 airs = 40xp per essence This means that at lvl 77 (Which imo isn't too high at all) you'd already get xp 8 times faster. This means that runecrafting would jump from the slowest skill into one of the fastest and as it would become a lot easier, also from a non-buyable to pretty much a buyable skill. The update would also kill the point of crafting high lvl runes in the long run: why to bother crafting natures/laws/deaths/bloods to 91 as the airs would be so much faster and thus you'd get into serious money faster? Why would you craft natures on your path to 99 when airs were 4 times faster? In the other words, I don't support this idea. If rc had to get something, add stuff that would add something to the basic concept of the skill, not adjust the whole skill.

Runescape Classic Fact Sheet -updated july 29-
Black hole was the way to "ban" people. After people started to create nubs and get them banned on a purpose to see it, Jagex added the black hole experiment to the dwarven mines. After they changed their punishments they saw no reason to keep up with the experiment and removed it. False. Swedemike was first. Duck Man was the first to 20m+ thief xp, not 100% sure on 15m+. Tony's autominer was the first program that got a lot of publicity. Also the first version of Rune and bot came before Evil. Not the first but one of the last ones before people started creating their "real shemales". V1rta had a male body+beard BUT wore a woman plate which he couldn't remove or he wouldn't have been able to put it back. The "real" shemales had woman chest+beard so in the other words they could remove or put back the plate.

A discussion on RuneScape money
Currently the gp itself isn't the most traded thing in rwit. Due the limits in trades and the bounty hunter, people have now gone into more advanced thing such as duying on a purpose at BH with dirty valuable items, gaining the money on someone else's char or finding ways to transfer through ge. As a result of the trade limits, your way of limiting the gp's functions would just cause problems to the normal players. It wouldn't stop rwit at all due the fact that in it the methods are totally different.

~~99 SUMMON+FM+WC SAME TIME~~
Hello comrades Without any longer speeches Ill get straight to the title: with this date of 19.7.2008 I have finally hit 99 summoning, firemaking and woodcutting. This is my third triple 99 and hopefully not the last one. I had planned this for ages and as a proof of that, I was for over 16 WEEKS 33k away from 99 woodcutting, for over a month 300k from 99 firemaking and finally managed to stay at them until I got the final charms to 99 summoning. I know most of you will ask questions how did you train, how much did it cost or stuff like that so instead of answering to the same questions in the replies, Im doing it here. I did 99 firemaking by burning random logs to like mid 80s, yews to 92-93 or so and then mages to 99. For woodcutting I did most of my xp at the Barbarian Assault willows. For summoning I did mainly waterfiends and rocklobsters to 96 and then 96-99 almost fully with slayer. I did that as I didnt want to get too many extra charms after my journey to 99 slayer, I wasnt in a rush to get it and I got dirty tired of bursting. Getting around 7m extra mage xp and burning a mil or a few (or a hundred plus) was enough for me. For the cost, I dont know exactly how much did I lose on firemaking and definately dont want to know the total cost of 99 summoning. However it probably was my most expensive 99, even more expensive than farming 1-2 years ago. Was it worth it? Hopefully, at least Im enjoying my titans, yaks and unicorns a lot and guess enjoyment is the thing that keeps us playing this online game an hour after an hour, a day after a day, a week after a week and like in some cases, years after years. For my next 99s, Ive been thinking of fishing and slayer. However Im relatively far away (not level wise tho) from them so things might change even a lot. Been also thinking of just buying one or two of the expensive buyables I got left, depending how much do I feel like wasting this time right after spending a huge pile of beautiful pixelated golden coins. As I dont believe in any kind of gods, Im just saying that no one (no, most likely not even your own personal gods) knows for sure what comes next. Just keep your eye own these forums within every few months or ask me what Im doing when you see me ingame to hear the newest plans. Id want to thank you directly 4 persons: me, myself, I and Hohto. Many people helped me by providing information, keeping company during the lonely hours and everything else that is needed in skilling. However it was my own sweat that ran wildly, my hand that got sick, my time that was used and my nerves that got bugged by random people. Anywys the people who deserve credit know it really well and I dont want to forget anyone so I decided to list no one. I didnt have any huge parties, infact I immediately rejected everyone who wanted to come to see the levels. Ive taken all my 99s in RS2 alone and I dont see the point changing the trend now. I dont want to waste anyones time, try to find a time that fits well to everyone who wants to come and dont want to hear anyone saying Im threatening people inequally. For everyone who would have wanted to come: you got threatened equally meanly <3. The pictures are from HD and by the filesize dirty big, so I'm just putting links to them. If the forum guidelines do not allow links, I'll just use the hide tags then. http://koti.mbnet.fi/hohtava/fm.PNG http://koti.mbnet.fi/hohtava/sum.PNG http://koti.mbnet.fi/hohtava/wc.PNG Please rate, hate, comment or ask.

What is wrong with "buying" skills?
So in the other words it's cheating to support the hardworking woodcutters who aren't buying their way to 99 (even tho they are working a lot less than those who bu... err cheat their way to 99 pray) or spend the money you've gained into a thing that rises your combat level? Well no wonder you still are playing without "cheating" and teaching us how to skill while having no skills 90+. Have fun doing things harder to yourself than they really are, you are the one who suffers from it, not me or anyone else.

is this lending system end of gwd???
The godswords have been dropping in a pretty straight line for ages. This is normal behaviour to the price due the heavy increased supply: * A lot better guides have been written, read and studied by many people. This means every day more and more people know how to do god wars properly. * The ability to get incredible riches has caused an increased amount of people to actually do the stuff written in those guides and/or train the skills needed to do them. * People are getting more and more organized in their trips and this way increasing the load at the bosses on LS worlds. This means every day more and more gp piles are being dropped to the ground and gw items being sent to the GE. In the other hand this kind of increasing supply wouldn't alone be enough to drop the prices, also the demand must work with it. Currently the demand for godswords is either dropping, staying the same or increasing a lot slower than the supply of them. * The godswords really rarely vanish from the game. This means that today there's more godswords ingame than there was yesterday and tomorrow there will be more than today while nothing really boosts the demand with the same speed. * Godswords aren't too ideal investments for many people: the increasing supply added do slower demand makes them drop in price, they aren't THAT useful in many things and the number of people not having them already but the wealth to buy them increases slowly. The itemlending might cause a drop in the prices due the fact that for random godwarrers going there for few trips becomes easier with borrowed armours. This means there can be a slight cut in the demand and a little increasement in the supply. Of course there's always the possibility that after seeing how handy the items are people might actually invest on them, but for some reason I doubt it... Anyways the point was that the prices would go down even without item lending, but it may make it a bit faster.
