  1. Before I post, I want to know what people think I look like.
  2. w00t! They finally made it a word! I can't express the w00tiness of this issue. As much as I support good grammar, spelling etc., this still is a nice breakthrough. 'It won't last'? Yeah, right.
  3. The image doesn't load for me, could you put an imageshack link or something?
  4. That's not my style, but it's really good anyway. The GIMP rocks!
  5. dsavi replied to happy123's topic in Art and Media
=D> Which program? Photoshop or the GIMP or what? I need that filter.
  6. I have to agree, it does look pretty boring. Let me describe how boring: I could do that. [/reason] Does that give you any idea?
  7. dsavi replied to darkforaster's topic in Off-Topic
I thought this would go in the same category as that Little Bunny/Rabbit foo foo thread, i.e. spam?
  8. Warning: Don't read this thread at night- too scary. :ohnoes: No forum.tip.it... :uhh: And no web design which I have as a hobby... no Windows live messenger... AAARGH!

I know what it feels like, if you can say that you ever could feel it. Have you ever fainted, for example after donating blood? When you are completely blacked out, it's indescribable. And, come to think of it, that sentence is a paradox.
  10. How did you make the windmill one animate? As in, which program?
  11. Sig

dsavi replied to DavidRode's topic in Art and Media
8, I couldn't do that. Could someone tell me where I can make a sig that changes every time you refresh? Nice knowing you, RuneScape.
  12. /\ 1. You said the price in Euros, Finland is the only in the Nordic to use it 2. Your name is NorthernHero, and Finland is quite northern 3. Your English is European-English, different from British or American English. (Don't ask me how I knew that) 4. I live in Finland, and I just had this suspicion that you did too. Also, you're posting in the evening in Finland, a few hours after school/work ends. [/reasons]
  13. Great thread. Almost all of the answers are intelligent. Security people have always gotten under my skin, for the simple reason that they want to keep the price of insureance down, by arresting everyone that even reminds them of stealing, I.E. Everyone but shoplifters. I got thrown out thrice, once for a week. Here, this will explain: One day I had some time before the bus cams, so I decided to go see which of my friends were in the shop. I saw someone I knew who lived near me that took the same bus, so I went over to him. He was going to buy candy, but shoplift at the same time by putting the sticker with the barcode on the package of candy, and then putting some more candy in so he got more for his money. He did this with his hands. I told him no, don't steal and at least don't take it with your hands. He went to the checkout, bag of candy in hand, when security showed up. 'Come with me', said the security guy, not in english of course, and led him away as I went the other direction. He started yelling at him- about taking candy with his hands. He got away with it. While the security guard was on his way after seeing him take the candy with his hands on the CCTV, he had put more in, and he never saw. I wouldn't tell on him, but I definitely told him I was very embarrased. So ends my story, maybe I'll add more later. Northernhero, you must live in Finland.
  14. Home EC for the win. Even if only girls take it, it's all the better... :-w Yes, I'm definitely taking it next year as a continued course. (The first 3 courses are required.)
  15. That's awful, but don't let it get to you so bad. I've been through the same thing. A message to potential posters: This is not a thread for jokes, be serious.
  16. Yeah... but when you boil water, you kill the bad bacteria in it. When you wash dishes, you use soap that kills bacteria. Now the shower thing... well... I don't know, but where I'm at, we have filtered water for everything. Wrong! Neither of these worked on the bacteria here. They told them at first to boil water for 5 minutes before using, but it didn't work so more people got sick. Care to state your sources? My source, YLE, is the CNN of Finland.
  17. Sorry, BLuelancer, I can't help but laugh. Finland attacked by terrorsts? Even though you clearly show that you know it wouldn't happen, the idea is just... weird. You've got the right Nokia, yep. Wait, I forgot to say, wasn't this the cause of SARS? (A sewage leak, as in) And also, Finland is very western and domesticated- I'm an American and I can stand to live here without dieing because of Americanness deprivation. But sometimes I do need some peanut butter, marshmallows, vinegar potato chips and root beer to keep me alive.
  18. (No room in the title) In the newspaper this morning I noticed that a sewer leakage in Nokia, Finland (Yes, I think this is where Nokia originated as a tire company) caused 15,000 people to be infected. Sure, mall and school shootings are awful- but this many is direly serious. They are so weak that they can't go anywhere else to get better, and they can't wash. The symptoms include vomiting, some people are on drips. It started last week- no one was alerted, when whole families got sick, it was accounted to the winter getting sick season. Read th article for details. What a way to spend Finland's 90th birthday today.
  19. Yes, thanks a lot to you and your pro-smoking friends for polluting the air and eventually running up hospital bills which everyone pays for in socialist countries like mine.
  20. You could probably improve it by taking it again and saving it as an uncompressed format such as .png instead of jpeg. It would turn out better.
  21. I see you're a new user, but just for next time, I think this belongs in website updates and corrections. Oh yeah, welcome to forum.tip.it! Edit: OOps! I thought this was general discussion!
  22. Sorry to say it, but this belongs on the Website updates and corrections forum. Good spot, though, it's probably the product of an overworked tip.it admin at 2 in the morning, wanting to get in 1 final update before he turns in... Edit: Oops! I thought this was general discussion!
  23. You know that article in 'Readers Digest' called 'That's outrageous'? I think that each and every forum.tip.iter here would enjoy it.

Evidently we aren't supposed to ask questions. The urge to find out, though, is somewhat overpowering in this case... :ohnoes: Exactly. And what about Viktorkrum77? EDIT: Sorry, I didn't notice the post by the super mod. I still am not sure about the hitting and kissing part though. Maybe hit anyone who makes sentences with deliberate spelling mistakes and no capitals.

Other than things that are absolutely necessary for living material, for example air. I would say sight, girls, hearing, smell (Taste), music, Windows, forum.tip.it, and The GIMP. In that order.
