Do you use slang words/phrases?
Well, at least I got my point across. o_O I know one guy who doesn't use any slang words. He's 100% Finnish, so I can't understand why he does that. It sounds so funny when someone speaks Finnish without slang. Like a robot or something. I think the reason everyone uses slang while speaking Finnish is that most words are slow (or hard) to spell. Yeah, and have eleventeen syllables. But on the other hand, when you do speak slang, everything ends in "ks" or "is". :P

Mods, Admins and.....
Why? I mean, if this is something that you have to prove yourself as, and then it is voted on where no one but people that have already been accepted, what would you complain about? Also, just make it so that you cannot ask to become a Trusted Member, and if you do, you lose all chance. Asking HOW to become one is different, obviously. Also, perhaps there would be certain chances, like if it's obviously a new member, and the staff member honestly thinks that they don't know that by asking to become one, you get blacklisted, then perhaps that will be their one get out of jail free card, regarding that. Make it so that this is a position of prestige! Look for people who are mature, and helpful, and really know their Runescape stuff (This is a Runescape site, after all) and let that be the baseline of their rank. IF they abuse it, they're out faster than you can say "STEEEERIKKKEEEE THREEEEEE!!!!" and they don't get another chance. [hide] Random_Person1: Someone else got to be Trusted Member and I'm not... Make me one or I'll leave!!! Staff_Member: Sorry, but the people who are made into Trusted Members are voted on, and to become one you have to show certain qualities, such as maturity, Runescape knowledge, and general helpfulness. By sending this PM, you obviously don;t have the first or the third. Quit if you want, but please remember that I don't control who is a Trusted Member or who is not. Random_Person1: Then who do I have to ask to be one? Staff_Member: If you ask to become a Trusted Member, then you will automatically be stripped of all chances of becoming one... [/hide] How does that look? Seems alright to me... Ciao Even if the user would take it so calmly as that during discussing it with the mod/admin, when the staff member tells them that last bit that's the point at which the user would explode. And anyway, this violates the principle that Tip.it is moderated with principles. This goes way into the specific rules and loopholes territory.

Microsoft's AV is pretty good, I hear. Free too. What's it called again?

Conceptual Tranquility
No, that would kill the aspect ratio.

Mods, Admins and.....
That could get really ugly. It sounds good on paper but in practice I can imagine the staff would get endless complaints.

Programming and Web Design subforum
Hmm, I didn't think of that. :) Excellent! :D
-
Programming and Web Design subforum
I assume give programming help, maybe post some projects of our own, give critique on other people's projects and make suggestions etc. There's no legal question about it.
-
Programming and Web Design subforum
I'm not really sure what you mean by that there would be legal stuff to worry about.
-
Programming and Web Design subforum
It's unlikely, but I support it. How about changing that to a "Programming & Web Design" subforum?

Please deactivate my account
Sure, there's a "deactivation feature" or delete feature, but not for normal users. I'm pretty sure that the answer you're going to get from this is to just leave your account if you don't want it.

Have you ever lost a friend?
I was seven when I moved to Finland from America, but I haven't really lost my friends from back then. I haven't seen a lot of then for years simply because it's so expensive to travel. :( Going back there to see them is like time travel. I also kind of lost a lot of friends when I went from elementary to middle/high school here, and honestly, I really haven't had a real good friend since. I met up with one of them recently, made me realize I should never have gone to the school that I did. I'm not sure how that would have worked out, though, because I was building a really bad reputation that I wanted to escape by the end of elementary. I did escape it, and now everyone seems to have forgotten it, but it means I missed seeing any of my real friends here for more than 2½ years.

Regarding "Homework Help and Advice"
I'm against creating a subforum specifically for homework help & advice even more than I am against creating a help and advice subforum, which would be the logical solution was this a real problem. But I'm against both ideas.

Regarding "Homework Help and Advice"
A whole new board is overkill, and I think that we should avoid dividing the discussions up any further. If we were to implement anything like this, it would probably have to be a whole off-topic help & advice forum, not just homework help. Personally, though, I'm against both.

Do you use slang words/phrases?
Not a joke, but now that you point it out I'm not really sure about it either.

Do you use slang words/phrases?
It depends on which language I'm speaking. If I'm speaking English, I use almost no slang at all. What you see me type here is pretty much my English speaking style. When I speak Swedish, however, I mix in large amounts of Finnish and English, drop letters, use slang words and incorrect grammar. :) When I write it it's correct. When I speak Finnish (Incredibly rare) I speak like a book and it sounds silly because nobody doesn't use slang in Finnish.

Inventions.
To not have to pause to take a breath would be amazing. :P

Inventions.
Wrong. Santa Claus was originally green. And, as it happens, was turned red by an advertisement campaign for Coca-Cola made by a person from Åland, Finland. (An island in between Finland and Sweden) Namely, Haddon Sundblom. Now who knew that? Huh?

Circular breathing is very difficult but entirely possible. It involves storing oxygen in your cheeks, then pushing it out while inhaling. It is a required skill for playing the didgeridoo, and is also applicable to the flute and other instruments, but with the flute anyway it ruins your sound. No, it doesn't work in the way you described, but circular breathing is very similar. (And pretty interesting.) I've attempted it but haven't succeeded.
