Move to Finland and you can work in English and learn Swedish, because Finnish is such a hard language nobody can force you to work in it, if they did Nokia would be pretty much dead because they need people from other countries that know English and have skills that not enough Finnish speakers know to be affordable. I've always wanted to live in Southern California or in Minnesota near The Cities. Nothing ever happens where I live now and English is the offial language there which is a major plus.

The only reason I would switch to a Mac is if I desperately wanted to run programs made for Unix and have a good set of proprietary tools at the same time. My brother wants one because "PCs are ugly". :roll:

Leave it clean. To get Linux on there download an image of a CD installer (I strongly recommend Ubuntu), burn it, and boot from it. It will format it, possibly as ext3, during the installation.

Personally, I'd use PHP. It could do it a lot better than any of those, if you used the SimpleXML extension and possibly (I don't know exactly what you're planning to do with the information retrieved) file_put_contents().

I usually have my feet sitting on my computer, nothing more strange than that. I've got a nice chair that supports my back and I use it to no end.

Ewwww Visual Basic. I just remembered we had this sub that only spoke Finnish and broken English, although everything we did was supposed to be in English. Was pretty annoying. And then she refused to believe in negative numbers. Seriously, she insisted that they are impossible. But I was in 3rd grade at the time so I suppose nobody cared all that much. We just wrote her off as an idiot.

If you have more than 4 or so GB of RAM, and buy the 64 bit version (Assuming you're on 64 bit Windows) It should run a lot, lot faster. Personally there's nothing to warrant me upgrading. My upgrade will still be valid when CS5 comes out (You could upgrade to CS3 from like PS 7) so I think I'll wait. If I want to paint on 3D models I'll use blender.
