Mining is too easy, mage is combat, smithing is expensive. If you want a good 99, get agil or RC.

With that setup you'll have to bring a yak packed with p pots. Prossy + sw cape > bandos + fire.

I got ~166 crims/hr barraging lobs at 94-96 mage + wolper. Not sure how many casts/hr I did, never bothered checking...

Only tried sara gwd, couldn't really hit. Haven't tried any others since I've been dc'ing a lot lately.

it adds to your max not every hit... Not true, it hits much higher then whip and is far more accurate. For drags, a ZS doesn't even come close. LS is only good for bosses, but the rapier is better for pretty much everything else. It's been said many times that it doesn't cost 200k/hr to use. Don't make up info. yeah i said combat hours the first time and was too lazy to say it the 2nd time. It's less then 100k/hr of continuous combat. And the difference in kill speed between rapier and whip is definitely noticeable.
