No, it won't work since there's an obstacle in between. If you can get a large monster stuck halfway behind an obstacle, then it will work. Yes, +4 is the best range bonus in the 'cape' slot.

If I was to go back to f2p, I'd just quit. There's absolutely nothing there that would keep me playing. You might as well sell all your p2p stuff, then...fly fish...or something lol :boohoo: EDIT: might as well keep them if you can't sell them...you might always get p2p sometime in the future.

It's actually very cheap. It's about 826gp/herb, and you only get herbs tarromin+. Even if you were to use all the herbs (incl tarromins), buy all the 2nds, and buy vials, you will still make 5-10% profit. : This is what I'm doing right now; by the end of December I'll have about 10k herbs, which is about 1M exp.

1-2K ea. Best to put 10 workers in MTK on herbs. It will take them about 2 weeks to get enough herbs for 52-60 herblore, and you will make a profit even if you buy all 2nds and vials.

I'll be using them for PKing, and perhaps for training (if they're better), so either way I'd have to get them. I won't even bother training at PC, it's boring as hell and the rewards stink. I'd much rather get 99 range on ankous, and make a nice 25-35M profit :

That's a good point, but even a small increase in exp will eventually lead to several hours either lost or saved (since I have about 12.7M exp left) :-w

It will not. You're better off using a warrior or berserker. Bloods/deaths are fairly common drops from ankous (you average like 1 blood and death per ankou).

Maybe you're wearing vambraces or sos boots, which lower mage bonus?

How'd that happen? With onyx enchant, it's about 90k/hour, so 3k should have taken you like 2 hours. There is no magic way to train magic. If you want cheap and fast, then enchanting is the way to go. Don't bother with fire strike, it's a complete waste of time. Also, fire bolts on steel drags is a waste of money, and I speak from experience, having cast about 80k bolts on them (and not even getting 1/4 of my money back).

Has anyone actually tried out training with full void for an extended period of time, and compared the exp with dragonhides (on monsters with low def, ie ankous)? I know that the exp is slightly better with void at higher levels (at like 90+), but how does it compare in the lvl 70-90 range?

Max mage bonus on p2p is around +135 (like 30-40M?). 3rd age mage hat ahrims robes infinity boots barrows gloves 3rd age mage ammy master wand mages book seers ring god cape I think that's it...idk about f2p, but it's probably like +20 or something :lol:

Thanks for replying guys. I guess I'll get 42 def through quests, get full void, and see how that works. If I get KOed too often or get hit too much, I'll try out 70 def or maybe even 75 (for dfs). This was meant to be my PKing gear. My training gear will either be ranger set, archer, etc, or full void (idk, I'll make a new thread about that :P) As for getting some att and str, idk, I had a 80 90 45, but I gave it away like last year :wall:

Karils is really low def... Most people say this however in my opion sara is best. It is like guthans but hits way higher can wear better armour and doesn't degrade. Also it helps prayer so saves money on pots and lets u have more inv space. Yeah but that spec could've been used for dba and saved you a super str pot :-k

I was thinking of making an account with 99 range, 40 def, and 44 pray for PKing on P2P, and maybe a little on F2P. I would be using addy and dragon-tipped bolts. Would the above stats and the following setup be good? He'd be about 85 combat with those stats. I would swap the helm and kite for the painted ones, since I wouldn't lose them if I died (more profit). Right now he's only 61 range and 1 def, so I need some comments and suggestions before I commit myself to this. RSN is Malum_Pandus (not much to see yet). I'd probably no-life train him over the summer, which should take about 40-50 days.
