Oh, you can relate. Somehow that thought, and the fact that it's true for pretty much ever male on the forums, only makes things worse.

The rumor that went around was that I frequently picked my nose until it bled, when it was really the heat (Which has happened - The last time my nose bled was when I went to Arizona) or some other condition I'm unaware of. Naturally, this was spread by students that disliked me (I probably seemed autistic/[developmentally delayed]ed at the time, so it wasn't hard) and nurtured by teachers who disliked me (Such as loudly slamming a box of tissues in front of me whenever I so much as scratched my nose). It's telling that the rumors died down the next year, where the only change was the teachers :razz:

This. I would have quit months ago (And did for about a week, and have been edging closer to doing so again. Hi, JR! :razz: ) but the adbots have been that bad for quite a while, and if you play with private chat on, you'll even get PMs from them. Jagex sucks, but the mute tool is useful and scammers are quite common, even on member's worlds. If I resigned again at this point, I would miss being able to do that and would probably stay as far away from the GE as possible.

Indeed. Worst I was 'caught' doing was having a nosebleed in class in middle school. Which apparently justified having the vice principal come up to me in the nurse's office to tell me that it's my fault, in spite of claims by many parents that their sons had the same problem :wall: Needless to say, when I recently learned that the VP was fired for his behavior, I felt quite good.

He probably still would have lost if he did. The 'Mence would probably have lost something like 70-80% health and he'd have just it and Ferrothorn for the other two.

If Jagex cared at all about whether or not players saw these adbots, they'd do something about it, and that IS the point. They're literally the first thing that a F2P'er will see when he steps out of the tutorial, and they're the only thing a F2P'er will ever see when he goes to the GE. A friend in the HYT Friend chat was playing on his F2P pure account just minutes ago, and he literally could not train because every training spot was filled with bots. If you want to see the impact of that, you just have to look at world populations; It's a bit jarring to see member worlds with three times the population of F2P worlds, and if you step in to one, you'll see that only a small fraction of them are players. The category that Jagex is up for is "Best Free Online Game", so if the free version is unplayable because of the amount of bots, they sure as hell don't deserve to win it. And that's why we always write about bots... :razz: (Joke)

You would be surprised at how many moderators do complain, though. Jiblix isn't the first or last to be demodded for speaking out, he's just the most recent and the most public one. And mods do resign fairly frequently, though they usually do so when quitting the game, and they don't make it as public as Jiblix did. Hit a bit close to home, as a good friend was demodded for speaking out years ago and I've seen several others either quit or be kicked from the role with very little explanation. That said, Jiblix was a dual mod, and forum mods have quite a bit more responsibility than Pmods. Think about the [cabbage] TIF's global mods put up with, then imagine them working in the RSOF and add in the fact that Forum mods are the closest thing to Jgex representatives there. Better idea, don't, it isn't pretty... :ohnoes:

Perhaps they should have made the staff require a staff of Ivandis, like the flail required two silver sickle. The stakes could have incorporated some kind of silvthril. They do have room for other blisterwood/anti-Vyre gear, though. They have the fast accurate one in the polearm, maybe have an Ivandis flail with blisterwood instead of a sickle as the high(er) hitting but slow one, and a blisterwood battleaxe or something for the balanced weapon that is ultimately too balanced to be useful. Presumably they'll add a new class of high-level vyres so that it won't be amazing gear on an enemy that, by that point, we'll be able to one-hit with the weakest weapon.

If you see the tree, you'll notice that it moves around much more than that... The vyres have it chained down and it's still trying to smash some [cabbage] up. And they're all scared [cabbage]less of it, so chances are their thoughts are less "Okay, parry here, then..." and more "OH GOD NO GET IT AWAY FROM ME AAAAGH", since they're all weak against it.

Vampyre-kryptonite seems to be the explanation the quest gives (One vyre speculates that the tree was blessed in some way). It probably blocks the vyre's mind-reading ability, and burning vyre corpses probably improves whatever divine power it has. Or something like that.

Is it too late to post a character?
