  1. It is 2.1 billion. Please stop debating this. It has been proven and confirmed  .
  2. Zibl

    Why.....

I think people see 9/11 as such a tragity because it was so unexpected and aweful. It was a terrorist attack that surprised the world and happened in one of the most famous cities in the world. The war on Iraq is nothing new. Though all the innocent people in Iraq dieing is an aweful thing, people see it as a "side effect" (if you will) of war. People see a terrorist attack as much more of an "oh meh gawd!!1!1!" situation. P.S. - Don't be offended by anything I've posted. I'm simply trying to explain it in the best way I can :-k .
  3. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=520574 A topic I started a few days back about the 1st Rune 2-Hander in Runescape. I'd post the picture and stuff here, but I highly suggest you just check out the topic rather than me explain it all again. I have TONS of other really old pictures. Some of which aren't even that great. I also have tons of old dates such as when the 1st gems were mined, the first mithril bar was smelted, the first addy ore was mined, ect.
  4. Well that was quite immature of you :shame: . Even though the guy asked you for money, all you had to do was say "No. I don't even know you. Sorry". Then wait to see if he stopped PMing you, or if he didn't, block him. Simple. Instead of wasting the poor guy's time and getting his hopes up.
  5. since when do stats mean anything? I began playing in December 2001, and I'm only 87 combat with 1205 skill total ever since I quit about 6 months ago. I'd be much higher in levels if I didn't spend all my years merchanting, getting keylogged, then merchanting again.
  6. Well, I haven't played Runescape in about 6 months... so I couldn't tell you. A bit wierd though :-k . P.S. - Oh meh gawd 1,000 posts! For the 2nd time!... #-o .
  7. #1 - F2P has been getting updates. Perhaps you don't notice them. Game system updates, plus tons of graphics updates, ect. Just because you don't get a new skill or new items doesn't mean you aren't getting updates :shame: . #2 - How is giving F2P more stuff going to make people want members more? All it will do is give people another excuse NOT to get members. That's a no brainer. #3 - Refer to #1 and #2 again? :-k .
  8. and the runescape site guides say I highly doubt all abuse reports are looked over. Many a times in my past years of play I had been reported for vulger things (never for cheating or anything of that sort). I've never even recieved a message from Jagex about me getting reported. Plus, if you think about it, 100k+ people play Runescape every day. All these tards who send in reports for ever little thing you do adds up. I'd be willing to bet Jagex gets ATLEAST 10,000 abuse reports a day. Around 70k+ reports per week? How do you expect a small company like Jagex to fully review each report? Bull.
  9. Absolutely perfect  . Well written, brilliantly thought out, and nicely organized and easy to understand. Wonderful article. =D> .
  10. #1 - People did tele in the "old good days" as you so beautifully put it  . #2 - Pking was a lot easier back in classic because of the 3 hit rule. These days you can speed off in a frantic with lots of spells to help aid your get away.. thus making it harder for people to kill you. This is another reason why hardcore pkers always piss and moan. #3 - I love it when people tele out of wild. Perhaps somebody sprints in the wild with armor on (for protection) to craft some chaos runes or something. When out of nowhere all these pkers swarm in and try to kill the guy. I'd tele too... there is no reason not to. You were minding your business and not even trying to pick a fight. Yes, I understand, "its teh wildy though!!1! oh em geee it is teh supposed too bee scarry an hardd!". But still. #4 - How can you complain about people teleing so much when you said yourself you carry tele runes with you? :-k =D> . #5 - To reply to your topic. No. Everybody should be able to teleport. If you are in teleport range (lvl 20 and lower), then you must be a bit scared yourself of getting killed. Go deep into wildy where people CAN'T teleport and your problem is fixed. If you attack them in deep wildy and they make it to level 20 to teleport, then you suck so bad they deserve to get away :-w .
  11. Flying is going a bit extreme if you ask me. Plus, it would make the game a lot easier. Getting in and out of the wildy completely safe, running from monsters, getting into places you need certain levels to, ect. Wouldn't work.
  12. My 1st week in Runescape was probably my best and worse. I was introduced to the game from a friend off another text based RPG I was playing. His in-game named was Kakuri_SSJ. I made a character, Chitsu_123. But soon disliked the name and decided on another... Zibl. This was nearing the end of 2001. I won't go into long detail about all the stuff I trained on and what not. I do remember the 1st person (other than Kakuri) that befriended me was Rubbermaid. He was a high leveler at the time (around 60 combat I do believe he had told me). He gave me an iron short sword and a bronze square... boy I thought I was the stuff. By the end of the 1st week, Kakuri had hit a smithing level just high enough to make up to iron legs (if I'm thinking correctly). By that time I was able to mine iron too \ . So I mined a whole bunch of iron right outside of Varrok and he smelted it at the Lumby furnace. After spending hours on mining, smelting, and smithing... me and Kakuri stood tall in our iron large(s), iron leg(s), iron square(s), and iron battle axe(s). IOf course we wore our bronze plates. *sigh*. Those were the days indeed. Not because Runescape hadn't been out for a long time and all that mumbo jumbo... but because it was the golden days of being an innocent newbie and finding out all the great things about Runescape.
  13. Actually, you need to shoot yourself in the foot. :wall: . Joking of course... well... about shooting yourself anyways. Holiday items were droppd RANDOMLY around all of RuneScape. You could just be walking and all the sudden one would pop up randomly. If you were lucky enough to see/get to it, then it was yours (obviously). Eventually Jagex noticed rares being WAY too pricey, so they decided to start making them non-tradeable (scythes, bunny ears). When RS2 came out, they decided to make it were nobody would complain anymore... by introducing NPCs and small tasks in order to botain the holiday items.
  14. Topics and posts like this drive me nuts. GOD get the facts straight before you post. And here is proof: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runescape (There are also many other web archives of dates and such...) Secondly, STOP CALLING IT A PURPLE PARTY HAT!! Back before all of you RS2 products started getting pumped out, there were NO purple party hats. The purple party hats you now know and love were once the color pink. They were the rarest and most valuable of the party hats through the years (up until the duping of course). They topped out at about 15 million gp each (don't fight me on this... trust me, i used to merchant phats like a mad man back in classic). So there. To settle of the debate and claims. There were no purple party hats in classic... they were pink. They did not "max out at 7 million gp before the dupe oh em geee"... they maxed out at around 15 mill a pop. Blue party hats being the second rarest/valuable. And unless you were an alpha tester (which only a handful were), then you didn't play in 1999. :wall:
  15. I know that the old original link to the scapeboard forums do not work anymore. The most you'll get is from those Web Archive website thingys (links that Forsaken posted). Correct me if I am wrong.
  16. Well actually, there are still quite a lot of "good/famous" players who frequent Tip.it's forums. However, they don't all use their RS name on the forums. Some famous people who stop by regularly: S1acker Uloveme Empror1 Lilyuffie88 Sharif50 Bluerose13x The list could go on. However a few of the ones listed above do not tell who they are here on the forums.
  17. I couldn't agree more. Oh, and to the guy who said something along the lines of "if you got so few updates you'd want one too"... I hope you were joking. I can't imagine what you'd whine and complain about if f2p was even half the size it is today. I hope one day Jagex straight up rips f2p away. Thousands of un appreciate tards play it day after day and complain so much. Lets see how much complaining you'd do if you couldn't even play it at all (without buying members of course) .
  18. Solution: There is no solution, since there is no problem. Agreed. Nothing is wrong with party hats (or any other expensive rare item). Making them untradable would buy Jagex in my opinion. Thousands of enraged players would... well, who knows what they'd do if Jagex up and made rares untradable. But that isn't the topic. There are a lot of factors that play into the prices of rares: - More people are playing Runescape every day. - More people are wanting a rare item. For various reasons of course (to look rich, to invest in them, ect.). The more people want them, the more people are willing to pay. - General influxtion. The longer these rare items are on the market the more they are going to gradually rise. Even more reasons come into play. I highly suggest reading Duke Freedoms article about it.
  19. Agreed. Vanquish didn't deserve to be bagged for raising awareness. He didn't raise any type of awareness. He told us his friend got "hacked" because of RSBattle :-k .. :shame: .
  20. What drug do people smoke to type posts like this? Not only is it pointless.. but it isn't even thought out or remotely interesting! GAH! :wall:
  21. Especially for another RuneScape based game. How dumb can you be. Sucks for your friend but common sense goes a long way in this life. I've never heard of RSBattle being hacked either. Plus, do you understand how farfetched your friend's assumptions are? Yup. Somebody hacked into RSBattle, saw your friends user and pass and thought, "Hey! Bet this is the same stuff he uses for RuneScape. Think I'll try it out!". No thank you. I don't buy that for 1 second. Besides, I'm sure Unseen Snipr has some GREAT protection for his game.. not only that, but he'd definetly know if somebody hacked into it and he'd let everybody know that it happened. In wich case he hasn't said anything about it so the game hasn't been hacked. Your friend needs to think of a new idea on how he lost his stuff.
  22. #1 - Were you talking about Bubsa just trying to get post count?... :-k  . No. #2 - You are correct. People have taken noob way too far over the years. These days anybody is a noob it seems. In fact I've heard of Zezima being called a noob. Which makes no sense seeing as the guy is actually nice, good at the game, AND not a complete moron. Which makes no sense to me. #3 - Noob means a lot of things. It's actual meaning, in my opinion, is a more experienced player (not meaning high levels... just not somebody who is level 7 or something and just started) acting like a newb. Somebody who begs, spams, and acts like a small child. #4 - Noob can in fact mean an annoying jerk. How is that? Because as I stated in #2 (and #3), Noob has been twisted and overused over the years that it can mean just about anything these days :? .
  23. Extravagent and pointless. In my opinion it is much better to just ban the person and never let them log onto their good, wonderful, awesome account ever again. P.S. - A room like this used to exsist (some what). Waaaay back in RuneScape Classic, there was a big black room (forget the name :-k ) where all the banned accounts were sent. I came a long after this room was taken out of the game, but if not mistaken people could still log onto their banned accounts... they would just be in this big black room. P.P.S - This is also where we got the Disks of Returning. Because people who weren't banned could buy a disk of returning for like... 25 gp or something, and could visit the "banned room" or whatever it was called.
  24. As you probably know, RuneScape used to be like that right after its release (not RS2... RuneScape Classic). though I joined Runescape right after the wildy was created, I still heard from a lot of people that the "kill everywhere" thing wasn't so wonderful. Not the point though. I don't much like this idea because of 1 thing and 1 thing only... the wild. You got tons of room in the wildy to go out and beat up on whomever you please (for the most part). Why make the desert the same way? No point in it. That's my 2 cents.
  25. Heeeeeeck no. Couple reasons: #1 - Fletching is a fun skill. To me anyways. Plus it isn't hard at all... just takes a whole lot of clicking :anxious: . #2 - It is an easy skill to level when your looking to raise your overall total. Lets face it. You could cut willows @ draynor bank for a whole day and have thousands of willow logs. All you gotta do then is sit right infront of the bank and fletch them into bows (assuming you have the level for it.. I'm just using them as an example). That is a lot of EXP even if you dont string them. #3 - Fletching is a great way to make money. Depending on the level of course. At 85 fletching (magic longs), you can make some serious dough for yourself. On top of that, if you buy all the supplies to cut, string, and alch a magic long... after the alching you make back almost (if not ALL) that you spent. Meaning a lot of levels and EXP for little to no loss of money. I like fletching. Plus it is my highest level (86). It is so easy to level up once you get to level 70 and up. Just takes some time, money (even though you'll make most if not all of it back), and a lot of clicking. The new skill members would get would have to be pretty darn good IMO.
