ok theres been alot of problems with people having black screens in runescape when they get to around the world select screen, As there has been so many threads on this i decided to post here the way to fix the problem. WAY1 OK here is probably the easiest although both ways are simple. In ure taskbar right click on the two flashing screens icon, then click on repair. DONE. WAY2 open command prompt (start > accesories > command prompt) type in ipconfig then hit enter then type in ipconfig/flushdns then hit enter then open a new window and start rs.. it should work *WAY2 taken from majingogita Both ways are pritty much clearing ure DNS cache.

what it did was just clear ure DNS cache, the other way is right clicking on the two flashing screens

ok i sick of re-typing this so im just gonna copy and paste from now on: if ure having problems where runescape wont load e.g you get a black screen what u need to do is right-click on the two flashing screens which will appear in ure taskbar (bottom right) and then go through this menu and click on repair. After this is done it should work, if not their is a page in the runescape forums you can check out :D :D :D

what kind of mouse pad is it maby?? i heard that the metally ones can affect it but try cleaning the mouse out with a can of compressed air or something even blowing it is all u need or if theres alot of dust around like said b4 that could be affecting it.

try again after u no they have the login system down for about 10 mins it says in the tech forum (official runescape forum).

That just closes your internet connection and starts it again... Not exactly a universal cure. Good if our internet doesn't work at all though. no it dosnt just close and start ure conextion it also clears DNS cache and other things which then fixes the problem as i had this and it works.. go read the official runescape forum

ok when i try and play video clips/ download to watch i get an error msg pop up saying an interanl application error has occured. i found this article about it http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=831430 the second option is a fix but next time i turn on my computer i will get the error msg again. any help will be very much appreciated, by the way im running windows xp, with all the latest updates thanks, Phil

ok that was really crappy i dont no if it was the game or if there are soo many bugs but its really dark every were the smallest bit of land controlls dont work half the time, controlls were changing all these wierd lines and objects u get when u walk into walls in the games and i even got the newest patch :S

i thought 1.5 had no steam servers running? are there any other good steam servers running for 1.5??

can u download it on a friend comp then burn it to disk maby?

does this happen if you start opening things straight away? like myself try waiting till everything loads properly maby a minute or so it should then go properlly, what is ure cpu usage running at during this time?

sounds like a similar thread what u need to do is go to the two computer screens that are flashing in ure taskbar and right click it then go up to repair in the menu. This should fix the problem if its the one were it wont load the world screen

if you have nortan anti-virus dont delete it its a very good program but yes there are other programs but make sure if you do you find a program to Replace Nortan as many different programs do different stuff and dont get them confused and leave ure self vunerable

NO NO NO!!!! all wrong i had this problem a day ago what u need to do is see the 2 computer screens down in ure taskbar, right click it and go to Repair and click on it. It should now work fine. Oww and P.S. Lorddragonxx change ure sig. it a family friendly forum :x
