  1. God this is a depressing thread. Anywho, my 3 depressing regrets: 1.) I had stopped playing for about 2-3 months so my mum said she would stop paying membership. I was fine with that but sold all my stuff just in case I would need it if I wanted to play again in f2p. I then got back into it while selling stuff and had lost a lot of money trying to sell all my stuff off. 2.) Recently, selling a DFS at 16.6m and buying a BGS for 26m during the crazy time, meaning I lost quite a bit of money again. 3.) Again recently, dying at Bandos because I ddin't know about the alter teleport! :wall: However I don't hugely regret any of those really, it's a game and I just put them all down to experience.
  2. Wow I honestly can't remember the last time I've cried... freakin ages ago. I've been near tears at a view movies but never actually cried... :?
  3. Good read! : I found the part about Sara GWD very interesting, I always wanted to know of the "secret" methods people had found there! :D
  4. you dont know rs very well do you? He's right though Ross, rich players on RS (of which there are surprisingly many) will pay obscene amounts of money to be the or one of the first people to have a new item. The first pairs of D boots were sold for over 20m but by the end of the day they were below 2m per pair and by the next day around 800k. The people have money to spend and they want to spend it lol.
  5. I counter that with this, though its a bit off topic but I'm going to focus on the wheel method. The majority of us have all read the Guthix, he tells the drop factor of the monster is a wheel, but I believe it is not this simple, seeing something like a small portion of the wheel for example the drops of the steel dragon, here I think we have a series of wheels, sort of what you call tier lvl drops. Ranging from a like maybe Lvl 1: Coins 15%, Rune Javelins 25%, Addy drops 15%, Rune ranging darts, knives 15%, 10% bolts etc, nothing 10% but here the last 5% goes to the promotion to the lvl 2 tier which could include Lvl 2: Runes, bolts, pots, curry, tier 3 drops, the drop lvl down to lvl 1,so on. Lvl 3: Common drop rune items, b ax, med, tier 4, tier reduction( this chance is higher as the tier goes up and vise versa to the tier promotion) Lvl 4: Rare rune items, kite, long, 2h, tier lvl up and down. Lvl 5: Sometime we have drops that are very elusive at which can sub for the following. Maybe theres nothing on this lvl but tier lvl up and down, and maybe lvl down straight to 1 again. Lvl 6: And here we maybe have the d skirt and legs, along with lvl up and down. Lvl 7-10: Tier lvl up and down. Lvl 11: The Visage, med, spear etc It may be complex to bare with but, please do. What factors that effects the rate of theses drops such as the RoW, could be the slight enlargement of the Tier lvl up AND down. But this speculation could be just me, or maybe this is too complex for the java programming but this is just IMO. Lvl 11 REALLY DOES NOT CONTAINT VISAGE NEXT TO MED. Unless on lvl 11 there's like 100 slots with 1 visage and 20 meds.
  6. Shouldn't this be locked/deleted now considering it's asking if he can break the rules and in the wrong section...?
  7. Oh bring it! 8-) And Zierro, it's no-holes-barred, all out fighting, take whatever you like lol.
  8. Gratz Cal! How long before I arrived was that lol? :
  9. If there's a 1/300 chance of getting a drop, then you kill one and you have 1/300 chance of that drop. The next one you kill you dont have 1/299 chance, you have 1/300 again. If you kill 300 you may not get the drop. You could kill 1000s with no drop. It's just probability. However on what affects a monster drop, I and many other people, think that drop rates are improved when on a Slayer Task. For example I killed 2000 spirit mages with just 6 boots off-task. Then, in just 3 tasks (500 kills) I got 9 boots. This is obviously again down to luck, but many other people have experienced the same.
  10. How did you scored so high with only 64 agi :o? I keep trying and always got 600-700 points. I did what people suggested in the Circus blog: -Did 10 different emotes all at the start. -Juggled Chinchompas, then did Backflip and repeated that 5 times. Even though they both apparently needed 99 Agility I only failed once and that was on one of the chinchompa throws. :
  11. This belongs in Help & Advice and will probably be locked now your question has been answered by Bruno lol.
  12. Heh the "Did you know" topic is broken after that frarbn of a hacker ruined this place anyways. :( Anywho, nice find!! Do you mean 1pm GMT though, or 1pm English time? Because english time atm is GMT+1 (BST) so the time would actually be noon GMT...
  13. The same old market are going to be flaring up again: -Food. -Potions. -Runes. -Rune armour. -Barrows armour (specifically Ahrim's and Dharok's.) -Whips. -Dds. -Granite Mauls. -Dark Bows. -Crossbows? -Arrows/Bolts. Probably others that I've overlooked too. The prices of these things have all fallen quite a bit since PKing left us, noticably whips went from 1.5m-1.2m, herblore became unprofitable, cooking levels cost more, etc etc. I just hope this pvp update will stimulate the market back to the place where both skillers and killers can make decent profits - at the moment it's very combat orientated for money making.
  14. OMG thats awesome  Anywho, I got the hawtyhat! and then some nub pray lvl...
  15. I remember walking by a bank, Varrock I think it was, and seeing someone trying to sell a Sana Hat for 200k. I actually had that much money in my inventory at the time but thought; so it's a Santa Hat, I can pay far less for a helmet with awesome stats, just because it looks good why do people pay so much?? Ah my ignorance to the rare market... :
  16. Wow it worked and I got Ringmaster Hat! : TY!!!! It only worked for agility for me though lol. Succeeded on 4/5 chinchompa juggles and all 5/5 of my backflips at just 64 agility, but failed waay too often at mage and range 99 spots to get Ringmaster.
  17. That's right, he can do it for both Holy Elixir and the sigils.
  18. Heh that happened to my Tortoise in the exact same place! :
  19. Rofl! GF Jagex' censor... :
  20. Wow that's wierd, I'm glad I haven't done this event until now! How often did you succeed on juggling the chins?
  21. :) Slap me if that isn't the combat formula before summoning. Nice find! Yeah that's what I thought too. I glanced at it t first and thought: "Oh dear god, here comes more speculation." However on reading them it does look like the combat formula, however I think they left some brackets off the end... The top one (melee-based) reads: 0.25(1.3(attack + strength) + Defence + HP + 0.5Pray. There should be brackets on the end or else the combat level comes out way too high. Omg I worked it out for me and it really does come out as my f2p combat level! That's an awesome find man! EDIT: On my calculation I assumed an extra closing bracket at the end of the equation.
  22. You're insane! :D Anywho, monsters have been able to 2-hit us for ages. DKs can pretty much instakill you if you're attacked by all three, most dragons will fry anyone without a dragonshield, Graar hits 60s with melee while the other GWD bosses will get you down faster. What makes the corp so hard is it's insane accuracy, defence and HP stats. I don't like speculating about new monsters but I doubt they'll raise the hp cap for one. I'm v excited about the quest though, sounds amazing!
  23. Lol that makes two people I know getting DFHs from pyre ships. It appears to be so rare that many people actually beleive that you just don't get them from ships...
