  1. Good luck on 50+ skills man! That's really good to get: makes you feel far more experienced!
  2. Well I have to be honest, I let this thread die and forgot about it for a long time, but I've finally decided that I liked having a blog so I've completely revamped it and basically started from scratch! Enjoy! : If anyone knows how I could put all my level-up screeny hides in one big hide could you tell me please!
  3. We're talking about pride, not value. -.- No game has ever had any real value to 99% of the players, other than entertainment. I say 99% because you get people getting sponsered to play Counterstrike and GH3 and stuff now which is crazy imo. If you've never had any pride of anything you've done on the internet because it's all just pixels then stop typing and try find something you're proud of doing. I wouldn't say that my character on RS has any value in monetary terms, or even any value to anyone else but tbh I really don't care. The "value" of my character is that I have fun moulding it and playing on it, and that's priceless. Now to say you can't feel pride in acheiving something you've wanted is stupid. If someone really wants to get 99 RC, however much I wouldn't like to have to get it personally, the fact that they set themselves a goal and completed it is admirable, and if other people can admire it then they should take pride in it. Let me give you an real life example of this. The world record for cycling around the world was, until recently, 280 days. So one man bought a very expensive bike and planned, for 2 years, his cycle around the world. After 200 gruelling days he cycled through the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, having knocked 80 days off the previous world record. What had he acheived...? Well nothing, in you eyes, of any value. But by God I bet he was proud of himself.
  4. Not really, considering that at the moment Dragon Plate doesn't even exist.... They saw dragon plate because they wanted to see it.
  5. Awesome guide Trip! However, on the maging section I would reccommend using dust runes instead of airs because they're 7gp cheaper and that's alot when airs are just 17gp lol.
  6. Wow Bandos is odd... Nice guide though Toast! I use War tortle most of the time and I get anything from 1.75-3 kills per trip. No drops so far. :(
  7. Lmfao! Unspam: Look at the timing of finishing my 150th task! : (In chatbox)
  8. Nice video, but while the voices were good, most were out of time and way too quiet. :-# Love how everyone got involved to make it though and great mention of Tip.It at the end! :
  9. It's not just about the max, but about how often you hit it. Otherwise Gs wouldn't be their cost.
  10. The white pointy things on the left image (bigger one) look to be in a different place in my eyes (that's my view of the image, I could be wrong) and I don't think it's the camera angle that's making them look like they're in a different place either. Also it looks to me like he's using an UNTRIMMED Slayer Cape, as there is no "red trim" on the outsides, if you look closely, it looks black-trimmed if you compare it to the right image (i don't know what a trim/untrim slayer cape looks like, so I could be barking up the wrong tree, if so, sorry). Oh look, an untrimmed Slayer Cape with red shoulders: ^^Credits to Villandra/Slayerbelle.
  11. Back in the days of PKing, PKers needed skillers to be able to kill effectively and efficiently, and skillers needed PKers to make a profit. All the good PKers and skillers knew this, and, as far as I could see, there was only a banter-based rivalry between the two on how each chooses to play the game, skillers arguing that they get to chat and make money, PKers arguing that they get to have fun and make money. I've never really realised a "hatred" between the two, only the odd disagreement on how people "should" play the game, and mainly between less experienced/unliked people anyway.
  12. Why does everyone need to speculate so much anyway? There's a picture that may or may not be a Dragon Plate, and if we zoom in to see comprehensively which it is, it becomes so pixelated that we can't really make it out either way. So people say, yes but there's also evidence of Dragon Plate through the Jagex front page! Good for them, but do people really have to take every picture that looks vaguely like it could be of something we're pretty certain is coming out anyway and disect the hell out of it until we reach a point at which no conclusion has been reached. Even if Dragon Plate comes out tomorrow it's not going to prove that this picture was a preview of the Dragon Plate because we were pretty sure Dragon Plate was going to be coming out sometime anyway! Should I just get a friend of mine to stand a decent distance away wearing d chain and slayer cape, then claim that they were a mod who disappeared when I went near them, and start a thread saying: "Jagex are testing out new D Plate ingame already!!" No. Because I would look like a moron. So if I see a picture on Runescape of someone standing in the distance wearing one of the most respected 99 capes in the game, and an old-school classicly expensive chainbody, should I make a thread saying: "Dragon Platebody "in game" picture?" No. Because I would look like a moron. If you hadn't noticed, in most update pictures, Jagex will have a newby player, a few middle of the range players, and a few really good players. So for their really good player in this picture they used a very respectable cape, and an expensive chainbody.
  13. Granite isn't really "going" up, at least not while I'm posting this it isn't. Due to the fact that granite miners (if they were mining for profit instead of just solely the xp) were having to drop all granite other than 500g granite and wait 'til they had a fairly full inventory of it. Now they can just do continual runs and then cut it after they've got everything they want. Maybe they'll only take the 2 and 5kg ones from now on. Either way, obtaining Granite (500g) is now a lot quicker and easier, so the prices of all of them will inevitably fall. The fact that 2kg and 5kg Granite have risen is so that they are exactly the same price as how many lumps of Granite (500g) you can get out of them - 4 for 2kg and 10 for 5kg. -Granite (2kg) rose to be 4 times the price of Granite (500g.) -Granite (5kg) rose to be 10 times the price of Granite (500g.) Granite (500g) is used to make Granite Lobsters which are very good summoning xp.
  14. Saying there's no pride in pixels is like going to an artist and saying: "tcch! so what? you put lead on paper, nice one!" It's what the pixels represent that I have pride in. I don't know who invented the first computer screen or pixel or anything and I don't really care, what I care about is what's programmed to be shown as pixels. If computer screens were cleverly distributed coloured fluids instead of pixels I would still be proud of my character, it's not the pixels that matter, it's the effort you've put into changing your character into what it is today, whether real or virtual one can still take pride in their creations.
  15. I zoomed in on that and it just looks like the red shoulders of the Slayer Cape + Dragon Chain, not Dragon Platebody. Too small to tell either way though really.
  16. The worse thing is that not only are they still taking our Green Dragons and autoing but also we can't go stop them from doing it. :( They're probably of a level to avoid all but 1 rev too to masimise profits... although personally I hope they aren't.
  17. On the circle there are line going along... are the showing what quests have to be to start others or just quest storylines or what?
  18. :o Nice! I think that's the most amount of Castle Wars tickets I've ever seen lol, not that I've actually looked for them that is... anywho awesome!!
  19. He meant it was a good way to break the GWDA post combo (with getting 84 slayer) : . Gratz Tommy!
  20. And the people who realised what was going on merchanted them all. If you look on the 30 day graphs for the GE database there is a very useful pink 20-day average line as well as the yellow and blue 5 and 1 day average line. Now in most scenarios the pink line seems to reflect a "real" price. Prices recently plumetted on expensive non-rare items and most of the time it doesn't even matter why, the fact is that if you see the blue line falling so low below the pink, it's bound to go bouncing back up again soon. I and many others have made millions out of this recent price flux and whether it was caused by some organised rich players or the thought of PvP didn't concern us, the fact is that the items hadn't changed and nothing had come out to replace them, meaning that the price change was purely down to the players and the players are prediactable. So things dropped but you can see now that they are going back up, they will probably venture a little bit higher than the pink line, then drop again and continuing repeating this process with smaller and smaller price changes until they reach a stable price.
  21. If you're at, say, 21 tasks in a row,or worse, 49, Burthorping a task will cost you a hell of a lot of money. For me, points = Death and Mind Runes. I've blocked 4 tasks but that's cost me a lot in deaths and minds, I bught Slayer helm and that's done the same, but even skipping tasks as we are able to do now costs you about 220 death runes and 880 minds.
  22. Lol, pencil case! : Just to make sure kids who have to wear a uniform to school can get bullied too!
  23. Perfect example of the new updates in action! :
  24. I always like Rellekka and Miscellania, really good atmospheres there.
