  1. SlowdownCPU is part of your chipset driver package theres no harm in getting rid of it , its a quick fix for certain processors disabled/deleting it would have made your computer constantly reboot which hasnt happened obviously :)
  2. I've set them up before , never had the need to run my own though :P
  3. Err.. I couldn't find any of them. I looked in the folders manually, and tried to "Search" for them. I'm not going to do the next step yet.. O2 - BHO: (no name) - {91e6dc04-6d5c-404f-8699-c1a5d73b2090} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\gdbrdwsw.dll (file missing) O2 - BHO: Accoona Search Assistant - {944864A5-3916-46E2-96A9-A2E84F3F1208} - C:\Program Files\Accoona\ASearchAssist.dll (file missing) you arent going to find them as stated by your HJT log , just remove the entries referencing them :)
  4. if its an NT/XP/2000 SYSTEM , take advantage of the user and group permissions already available within the OS it IS perfectly legal to install any monitoring software you want on a computer system/network that you solely own it is NOT legal to use it as a grounds for termination unless the user has signed a legal document stating that they waive their privacy rights on said system/network

Ok , your post was a *bit* confusing but I think i figured it out hehe Yes , every computer that you want wireless will need it own wireless adapter No , you only need one wireless router (helps to get one with a 3-4 port switch built in , just in case you ever need to go wired for some reason) No , you really shouldnt notice any file transfer speed difference compared to wired , as you're network will still be transfering data faster then your broadband connection (unless you're on a dedicated OC-3  (although wireless G is 54MBps , you stated 108 , B is 11MBps) If you are running XP/2000 , just right click My Network Places and go to "properties" , from there you should be able to remove and/or reassign the network connections you want to connect/configure :) i will suggest that you DEFINATELY read up on how to secure your wireless connection , especially if you live in a well populated area , my neighbor used to have a very unsecured wireless connection that I could technically connect to and use anytime i pleased , until i helped him correct it of course , I'm not the mischieous type Hope that helps Albosky Tip.It Moderator
  6. Its actually in the tower OUTSIDE the castle , when you exit the castle's "courtyard" into lumbridge , theres a tower on either side of you :)
  7. Personally , I would like to see you ask DroolMAN directly , instead of just thanking his thread. He spent ALOT of time gathering and all those images and even more time keeping his thread up to date. Albosky
  8. The connection between your network adapter and your cable modem and/or router is losing "signal" There are a number of things that could be the cause : 1: a bad driver install for your network adapter - try installing the latest drivers from the manufacturers website 2: a bad cable - check the CAT5 cable between your network adapter and modem/router for any signs of wear or damage to the insulation, replace if necessary 3: modem/router on its way out , the most unlikely of the 3 but if its old , you never can tell , electronics dont live forever ;), contact ISP and/or manufacturer for a warranty repair/replacement
  9. Good job using CNET's test , which wasnt even the one posted , and WOW , YOU CAN PRESS THE BACK BUTTON ON YOUR BROWSER TO FALSIFY THE RESULTS I AM IMPRESSED
  10. Please do not give out such advice , It DOES NOT have the "same effect as add/remove" Deleting the folder would still leave any and all registry entries , any additional video drivers installed into the system folder and to top it all off , the game name would STILL appear in the add/remove panel

I would suggest that you check the media discussion forum for any help regarding graphics , there are many talented artists on that forum that might be willing to help you out , if you ask nicely :)
  12. I always use the Seinfeld ask them for their home number so you can call and dicuss it later when they refuse to give it to you ask , "why, dont you like random people calling you at home and asking stupid questions?"
  13. Except one that is unplugged :) Sorry i HAD to say it , i'm in silly mode tonight
  14. If the original setup was never properly completed , then yes , weezcake has the most simple solution , since the LOG file that is used to complete any uninstalls is not going to be acurate and cause errors :)
  15. Isnt that like the pot calling the kettle black , read your own sig before you post  We all have goals , his is just hard ......

Runescape would only have 50 players on at a time if it was a something jagex banned people for , dont worry , him sending false reports just screws himself in the long run , they log all that :P

only 10 ? I hear it that many times while I'm clicking my PIN into my bank as I first logon lol
  18. Unfortunately it's not up to us as moderators what MODS get installed into the phpBB scripts, even the admins have to bring everything of this nature directly to Silverion , who is always quite busy with many projects , give it time , the admins ARE aware of this post :)
  19. Pease do not bump 2-3 month old posts in the future :)
  20. I'm glad I could be of some assistance :) *And glad you got your problem solved hehe
  21. If you are on windows 2000 , you may have to look for C:\WINNT\.file_store_32 instead of C:\WINDOWS\.file_store_32
  22. It's not a bad idea per say , but not absolutely vital. Just dont get your hopes up , the admins and crew are quite busy with a whole lot of MUST DO's
  23. Heres you go :) Rename svchosts.dll (this is not to be confused with legitimate svchost[Caution: ExecutableFile]) to something (e.g. killme.dll). Note the datestamp on the file ... it will be the day of infection. Reboot your system Delete killme.dll (you can't delete svchosts.dll directly, as it is "in use") Go to control panel / Internet Options / Programs / Manage Add - ons Disable BHOHomepage This should pretty much take care of it. Start running the usual anti-virus/spyware tools to get rid of the vestiages. Good luck.
  24. Very well prepared and well presented , Nice guide :)
  25. There really wasnt a need to bump a 6 day old post that the origina poster had most likely abondoned but If that router also has wireless features , then you DO have something to worry about a neighbor of mine had an unsecured wireless router that my system would pick up all the time until I offered to disable the broadcast
