  1. What analogy Reb? According to Article 4 of the Constitution of the United States, it's illegal to steal people's money. That includes unfair levying of taxes.
  2. I don't mind the speaking in english, but not trying to speak german by at least saying "Guten...*insert time of day here*" or small things like saying bitte, danke, etc. I just have no tolerance for the "omg, english."
  3. I was under the impression that when MEp2 came out, the news post specifically said "This is the last quest in the Plague City Storyline". All the quest lines are moving together to a central point.
  4. I enjoy playing. Since I speak a little bit of German, I have an edge on others. It is annoying having non-Germans there. I may not be German, but at least I speak to others in the German servers in their native language. I was sickened by the influx of "omg, speak english" morons that seemed to have crashed the server. Otherwise, I appreciate the practice.
  5. Ah, the TV commercials. I hate it when people's opinions of my faith are based on TV. I'd be buying the equipment and paying shipping costs. I would know exactly where they would be going. The Missionaries would be local church missions. My home church has saved the lives of 300 children in Honduras with debilitating injuries. That region of Mosquito also now has the best teeth and health after 10 years :).
  6. Invest 20%, put 30% in savings, and the remaining 50% I would donate to various Christian missionaries around the world. This money would go to funding hospitals, dental clinics, bringing kids to America for medical treatment, etc.
  7. Some people were discussing the welfare system of the US on the previous page, and I had to chime in. Yes, America has one of the highest poor-rich gaps in the world. But why doesn't the government play Robin Hood? Because it's illegal. Hell, it's in the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution (the unchangeable Bill of Rights). America ditched England in the first place because Britain would tax the hell out of us, then a company of soldiers would demand that we quarter them and pay even more money to help the army we were fighting! If the US raised taxes on rich people, they'd be breaking Constitutional law, which is the highest law. As for welfare, it's corrupt. A single mother of 2 children who could live on a job she can get will quit her job and have MORE children in order to get more money, depriving the children so she can maximize her profits. There's also the dependency on welfare, which does not inspire healthy attitudes towards working. I've met homeless people, I've been around them. The ones that actually need help are the sick and mentally unstable. The drunks, too. But many of them are perfectly healthy with MANY chances to get out of poverty who don't take it. Why? Because the government is paying for them to live, and because they see it as a GAME. A Freaking Game. They think they are Robin Hood, fighting for injustice. Some just enjoy the thrill. It shocked the crap out of me to hear this from their own mouths. Unfortunately, there's no way to know who actually needs welfare (a small percentage of all who claim it) and those who abuse it. Regardless, it's costing the US many billions of dollars. I can honestly understand why Washington is looking at snuffing it.
  8. Well, that's inevitable :P. I'd agree with it. I still fully support economic fuels, however, but mostly for economic reasons :P. Green fuels, ftw!
  9. well go on then go fill the hands of all these african countries than have their hand out starving. And im not saying that Britain is a lot better because we aught to do more to help aswell but im admitting it. However you cant say you halp all the countries in need because it is very far from thet. An interesting fact also is that the great nation of america spends more on ice cream and *adult movies* than they do on charity. dont they do the world a world of good. We give billions to African nations. Does it go to the people? No. It goes into some warlord's pocket. And thanks to the U.N., we can't go in a beat down a few governments in order to protect our investments.
  10. I am liking it...extremely peaceful
  11. I think they should have already had it ready when they made this rule. It seems like they arnt prepared then to their customer base. It would have been a better business decision to already have it in place as a replacement when they changed the rules. And while they wait for it, continue to lose thousands of dollars a day? Andrew's top priority is the creation of a new Runescape client. As he said, in order to make it work perfectly, he is going to need time. Runescript is a difficult language to change.
  12. You are stepping above the line in regards to our forum rule on flaming. Please do not make personal insults against other forum members.
  13. They can when it is stealing money from them. Hell, they have legal grounds for a lawsuit (checked with one of my lawyer friends). At least they are giving everyone a chance to clean up.
  14. Bookmarks get broken at least once a month, anyways. Sometimes every week. Just find your way back to world 2 and bookmark again!
  15. I hope it's a one time ability to get it. :) Nope, you can get a new one for 50k. Go talk to the monk, then take the anchor to be repaired at the pirate smith. The Anchor is faster than a longsword and slower than a whip.
  16. How are they ruining the game? Even with bookmarks, you are breaking the rules that have been there for years. And sigs. Those sigs cost them a lot of money. Deal with it.
  17. It's better to play it safe and log out anyways. While you are up, you might get a random and die or something. I've seen it happen too much on these boards.
  18. He means click the world sorter arrows just above the top world. There's a red one and a green one for descending and ascending. When you click on it, it refreshes the page but stays at world select.
  19. Mordren. I could be wrong. I was just told 25,000 a week, which sounds pretty complacent with how many times the highscores server is pinged. Whether that's exagerated or not, I don't know. Someone else figured out the 9 million a year, which in restrospect actually doesnt make sense as I look at it. Regardless, your stat sig could cost Jagex more than 5 dollars in a month.
  20. EASY! Find the list of mod (there's a list somewhere, I remember) Add all of them, and wait for someone to log on! this eats up a good portion of your friends list.. but it could be done if you want'd to find out some Jagex staff badly enough that have their firendslist open Please don't do that. Put yourself in the Staff's shoes. That's like Saradomin's Witnesses coming to your door and asking "Do you have our god in your life?" They get enough spam when they do log in. They don't need more, and will likely ignore you. I was invited to an event by a player mod and met several staff mods there. It was a relaxed atmosphere, and we had civil discussion. These kinds of meetings are usually secret and extremely rare. And Wakka, sporadic is a fancy way of saying "once in a blue moon." Well I didn't mean add them and be like "ZOMG STAFF< GAHH FREE STOOF PLOZ YEA LIKE YAE WOOOO!!!!" I'd actraully like to have a civil conversation with a mod. I did actraully do that once, and only once. I had a chat with one of Jagex's mods while reporting yew autoers, which she later sent me a message saying thank you. I also had a nice chat with a mod through the costomer service section That's the way :).
  21. WoW and GW and other MMO's generally have trashy communities outside of clans. That's what I like about Runescape. We have a pretty tightly knit community.
  22. Err...I am presenting that? There are lots of people with similar agreements with JaGEx mods. They've even posted on this thread. I simply said that they will not respond to random pm's from strangers. Would you want hundreds of people PMing you when you log in? There's the principle. I hope you meet up with a J-Mod at some point and manage to get on good terms with them. They are usually on a random world at the site of an update getting player feedback. What world and when is completely random.

  24. My contact is sporadic, so I can't really say at the moment. I would call it illegal (I'm guilty of it in the past). It functions just like the world switcher. If you need to get into world 2, just play the green arrow game. It doesn't take very long. I'd rather be safe than sorry, anyways.
  25. Wakka, I know several Jagex mods, but I have a non-disclosure agreement about their identity. That's so hundreds of people don't start spamming this person when they log in to get work done. I have on occasion also spoken with Mod Mark, and Paul ingame if I am lucky enough to see them. They both recognize me as that guy from the cabbage clan :P. The others that I can contact via PM, I will not say, however.
