Your opinion on the UN?
I despise globalism, so the UN is not for me. Other than that, it is a corrupt organization. Of all it's "talk", it has not fought a war since 1953. It's "blue helmet brigade" has supported terrorism by providing public intel on nation's military movements that it does not agree with (in the case of the recent Lebanon invasion by Israel). For all it's intended power, it is useless and is nothing more than a fancy Duma.

Anarchy Online. [Free to Play!]
You don't have to do missions if you don't want to  . I personaly dont because, as you said, they are boring. However I found once I got to temple of the three winds (level 25-60 area) the game got a lot more fun. It's a dungeon with tons of bosses and mobs in it, great fun. Hehe I just helped out barihawk a bit :D. I don't even want to know how much all that stuff you gave me was worth :P I will make it my mission to find someone with a multirange buff so I can destroy things. I wonder what upgrade items I need for these new pistols...

I guess I'll play in 2+ hours when the download is done. 6 hour downloads usually are pretty good.

US legalizes some torture, overturns hab.corp.?
In almost any poll on the subject, Abraham Lincoln was the most popular president of all-time. He completely suspended Habeus Corpus for ALL Americans, and thousands of "Confederate Spies" were tortured, beaten, or outright killed without a trial. This isn't so bad in comparison.

Date Ideas
It's never dumb to try.. I'd say some sort of a dance class would be fun. Personally I'd pick a type of dance where you both get to be close  Well, not close. But you definately want to be breaking your "bubbles" in the interest of breaking the ice. Salsa-Merengue is perfect because it isn't too close, but is very active and fun!

New player interfaces!
If you read Paul Gower's statement on the official forums (stickied in recent updates), the run button is actually larger than it used to be.
-
Who honestly likes the update?
I love them, a definate step forward. It takes a while to get used to, but it works a bit better.

The difference in maturity
I would like to thank the wonderful administrators, staff, and users of the Tip.It Forums. The forums here are well organized, and players are keenly reminded where to post if they err. Unlike the Runescape forums: Read our reactions here to the new updates today, and then go to recent updates in the Runescape Official Forums. I swear, half of the Runescape population is considering suicide over this.

Arquebus: RuneScape ready for muskets? (Revisited 9/24/06)
Yes, I am bumping this. Please do not lock, since it is my topic and I chose to revive discussion. With all of the posts coming up about guns, I decided to post a model discussion. Any input or comments would be well appreciated.

My estimates of the economy
Sure, you say that, but not every price increase is for that reason. Before his passing, Shiva was a great source of information on merchanting for me. He was aggrivated about the arbitrary price increases under assumed reasons. Yes, there is inflation, but is it this drastic? Santas have gone from 200k to 28 million in 2 years! That's worse than post-war Germany! Nay! Worse than the Depression! JaGex needs to increase moderation of the economy by money sinks...hardcore effective ones at that. Personally, I think all weapons and armor (even whips) should wear down with use, and have to be repaired on a price equal to thier value. That would eliminate HUGE amounts of money from the economy, but the crying 12-year olds of the official forums would explode. It's something that should have been implemented from the beginning.

My estimates of the economy
Way too capitalistic? Hah. I can't deny that, but could you imagine a communist economy in runescape? I'd never play the game. Ever. I am not going that far, I am saying that there is not enough government (JaGex) regulation on money. Inflation is rampant, which is why party hats costs so much. I know the merchants will be "OMG! U releyes that prices go up ovr time!" Sure they do, but not 150% PERCENT every 4 months! That's because the creation of money should be regulated by banks. Unfortunately, Runescape has 30,000 people who alch things on a daily basis, and create too much money. But is it this money that is causing price inflation? Or is the the owners of rares increasing prices for thier own gain and then blaming it on inflation?

My estimates of the economy
You do realize that you are trying to predict an economy that can fluctuate disasterously because a merchant is hitting puberty, or someone's girlfriend broke up with him. Runescapes economy is sickeningly unregulated and way too capitalist.

What is your most cherished item?
Either my white mystic boots or abyssal whip. Both belonged to Shiva, who gave them to me shortly before he died. Both are priceless.

GRAFFITI-WHAT'S YOUR OPINON?
In Dallas, in the West End a tag artist has made quite a living. In 5 minutes, he uses nothing but spraypaint and cardboard to make literal works of art. His tags go for up to $500 dollars. If they are literal art, they should be cherished. If it's some idiot tagging his name, it's not cool.

What's with construction bots?
That's a "master" who uses bots to make his money. The slaves in China may only make a quarter an hour, Smavey, but the people paying them make millions of dollars. Blaziken: I really doubt in this world filled with political corruptness and terrorists that the FBI would waste thier time working for JaGex. There is no law against gold harvesting, but JaGex chooses not to allow real item trading. So it's a basic rule instead of a law. JaGex could sue, but they would never be sure as to who to sue unless it's a single bot-user who got stupid.
