Learn some kind of programming language and use that to get the content of the hiscore site... There's really no easy way of doing it for newbie programmers tho, it's mostly complex parsing and filtering... I suggest php for the record :)

Problem with that is whether or not it'll seem too "official", some clans deff will not "advertise" on the fansite itself, but rather on the forums, since they're a bit less seen as an "official supporter of tip.it" that way... Don't know if it makes sense, but that's what the users of runehead seem to think ;)

ay, sorry then... It's a common error on phpbb boards in the version 2 series, happens most of the time when the sql database returns either an error in the query due to hiccups, or the max execution time for the query is reached due to a lockup somewhere. Normally a simple F5 solves it :)

I wonder why people post about stuff like this each and every time it happens, i mean, even if there was a problem with the server/software, and the users were entitled to know about it, i'm sure that the admins would post explaining it all... If the forum is back to normal after a few minutes and/or a few reloads, then 99% of the time it's just a simple bug which there is no reason for other than the phpbb software and/or the forum server had a little hiccup... ;)

Agreed, people that have been 100+ hours idle (Can't mention the names, but all old and new IRC ops know who i'm talking about), should either talk some more, or get out... But really, 12 hrs is nothing, IMO "a great once in a while"/"days and weeks on end" is way more than 12 hours.. IMO this rule should at least be changed to "excessive idling is not allowed", and the admins should give the ops and IRCops a number of when "extensive" is... 12 hours is nothing, heck, i know people who sleep for that long... Sluggy & jak: No offence, but not all people are like you and log off when they leave irc, i mean, we've all seen even admins with 24+ hours idle time, if changing this rule would make people more happy to use the chat room, i don't see why you shouldn't do it? You don't have to defend yourselves here, you simply follow the rules set by admins, IMO and admin should already have posted here and given us some sort of clarification, but as was mentioned, light/silv are prob the only ones who can settle this, and they don't seem to be much around lately (correct me if i'm wrong, you know very well that i'm out of the loop in the staff community now)

When i was op in #runescape i was first told to ignore this rule for regulars, then told to enforce it at 36 hrs+, and then told to ignore it totally again, and now it seems that the IRCops have been told to enforce it VERY strictly... Any chance we could at least get a final word made on this?

As i see it you got to give the clan community something which they dont have already, how do you think runehead got so big? I mean, we've grown with over 300% over the last 6 months, that is without a doubt due to the fact that we have something partly unique and usable. What can Tip.It offer that RSC can't? 'cept for more strict rules and less tolerant admins (judging from the above posts, this is the general feel towards tip.it among the clan leaders, maybe that reputation should be dealt with before)...?

You know my story and what happened to me a few years back, you should know better than anyone why i have the views on this that i do... Furthermore, do you want us to stop treating the community like children? Fine, but then you'd first have to convince me that we don't have any children, and that all of our users fully are aware of the dangers of posting such information on the internet, and that they are themselves responsible for any further things that happen... For gods sake Cam, do you think that we're doing this cause we're powersick and want to be controlling and manipulative? I thought you knew the site and the admins better than that...
