The thing is that when I had such a partition, it didn't install the drvers for me, I had to install them from the website. It's the same for my friend that still has a recovery partition on his computer. I find it weird that not all those recovery partitions have the drivers in them, at least the drivers from when they started making that specific model of computer. Anyway, I think we should get back on topic lol.

I've never heard of a company/place that gave a higher raise because the minimum wage was raised. Hell, it even happened to me to have the raise right before the minimum wage raise and I did get paid the same amount as new people were getting for 4 months before the next raise.

No, it's just a pop-up from Avira because they want you to get the version you pay for, but the free version is a very good antivirus. If you want help on how to disable them, I'll link you to a page that says how to. Also, if you're so afraid of Viruses/trojans, I suggest getting Firefox with the WoT add-on, which will tell you how the people that went to the specific page trusts it.

What do you mean by stacking your antivirus? Having more than one running at the same time? You should not run more than one antivirus at the same time as they will conflict with each other and let viruses pass. I would go with Avira, since it's not resource hungry and has almost as good detection as Kaspersky and NOD32. Avast is one of those I would not get. I've seen from experience that it has a [cabbage] load of false positives, so you really never know if it's an actual virus or just a false positive. As for trojans, no antivirus will have a trojan, because it is an ANTIvirus, not a virus.

Then no wonder you still have some adware on your machine. Get ad-aware or spybot Search & Destroy and do a scan. Remove what it finds. Then, replace AVG with Avira antivir and do a scan.

That depends, are you only getting these popups while on the site? Hmmm no they're just coming up whenever I'm browsing the web. The weird thing is now, that I don't think they're counted as popups... :? I've downloaded Firefox and got some super-special addon that a mate recommended which is meant to stop all popups, and I know that works because it blocked the popups I used to get when I came onto tif, but these things still keep opening up, both on IE8 and Firefox, but if I leave the computer for a while, nothing happens, but when I come back and start browsing the web again they start popping up. Sounds like adware to me, you should do a scan.

Not at all. It's actually better on it as it cools overnight.

How old is your modem? You can try unplugging it for 1 minute or so, and plugging it back. It will reinitialize it. Check to see if the sites work. If not, then maybe the problem is either in your computer, or from the ISP, but depends.

6GB of RAM is plenty enough in today's standards, so I'm all for a new card too. The 9400GT is not that strong. I'd go for a GTX 260 or GTX 280 for a new graphics card, prices have lowered quite a lot lately, and they are pretty good cards. Watch out for power supply though.

Not to mention if you're paying $50 for 1GB of RAM you're [bleep] [developmentally delayed]. I was going to say that but, i left it out. :P Haha you're not alone.

Well, decided to download and install it. Works as fast as Opera now and is compatible with most of my add-ons (I hope they will care to update them). Opera was faster than Firefox 3 on my computer. Only problem is that some of the add-ons that I liked the most don't work with the new version of Firefox (glasser, hide tab bar, etc).
