Yuck. One person in my class has one of those, and he has trouble with it (he's the only one in the class to have trouble with his laptop). If going with Dell, I personnally would not go with something else than an XPS, since I heard their other computers tend to break more easily than most brands.

I'm sorry, I got misslead by the A+ teacher, I don't know where he got that bogus information, but the achitecture teacher talked about it and said pretty much what you guys are saying. Again, I'm sorry.

I have tried both. My brother has it, and I've been at my parent's not too long ago. My friend has both Rock Band and Rock Band 2. As far as I saw, RockBand has a better songlist, as those I saw on GH4, while still being rock, what I saw of it was only old songs. It's good songs, but I prefer more recent songs and made by true rock bands. Also, in GH4, the difference between the difficulty levels is HUGE.

A better idea than that doesn't exist. Unfortunately, I don't think we're ever going to be able to get rid of it :wall: .

You can make way more with C/C++/Python programming than $970 canadian per week. My friend makes more per year with a programming job than I've made with any business, without giving an exact figure, it's around $250k american per year (though way less if you don't include the project extras and bonuses) With 21 day working months and 8-10 hour shifts, that's around $900USD per day. By a guy who is merely 3 years post-grad. There are few professions in the world with such good wages and salaries, other than specialist doctors and lawyers. Most people slave away with some $30k annual. Coding takes extreme patience though :P Brain killer... I know basic C++ by interest and earlier study, but couldn't do it for a job like you're probably going to. Haha, then chances are I'm going to move to the U.S.

I'm defenetly building myself a computer as soon as I get a job after my programming course. It will have either that i7 processor or one of the 32nm processors that are going to get out next year.

No, it would not, it's just a driver in the lot that you have on the computer, there's a driver for pretty much any hardware. It's not at all reinstalling windows, just the driver.

You don't think someone under the age of "18/19" don't value money and can't pay for themselves? Hmm... Rethink pl0x. I never said they can't pay for themselves, if they do, chances are they will learn the value of money, but if it's the parents that pay, tough luck, since it's the parents paying, they will be calling/texting real lots with it.

Same, but it's starting to tear appart after 3 years of usage. That $30 went quite far.

I'm currently a full time student at college ( 8:30 AM to 3:55 PM). I'm on a programming course (well this first session of 6 in two years, we're mixed with the rest of the computer science students). Can't wait till next session, even with the things I learned in C++, it's still not a challenge. I have heard that people that graduate in programming from the college I go make an average of CAD $970+/week, and also, at the beginning of the second year, most of the students already have a future job at some company. I also heard it's amazingly easy to find a job in programming, at least in my region.

I bought my first cellphone at the age of 20. I think people should not have a cellphone before the age of 18/19. Kids don't know the value of money and just spend their parent's money all the time on the Cellphone, reason why they should buy it themselves if they want one.

We do in Canada :P. But what you're saying is true for the U.S. people though. Maybe that's an important reason of their situation right now?

12 year olds should NOT have cellphones. Oh and 13 and 14 is alot better huh? Why does it matter? People should not have cellphones before the age of majority. Period.

Wow surprises me that the Canadian minimum wage is higher than the U.S. wages :shock: . Just to think the Canadian dollar is worth more than the U.S. dollar, no wonder we had trouble the moment our dollar got higher than yours.

Minimum wage is a good thing to have nonetheless. My whole town would be people in poverty if it wasn't for that. People would be getting like $5 an hour instead of their current $7.75. They work the most hours they can to have as much money as the can to have less debts. There sure are some that work at $10 an hour, but they're pretty rare in my town.

you guys should consider yourselves lucky, I'm going at ~$ -700 each month, monthly payments and appartment payments, and that's getting off the student loan, which is a bit small this year. I'm still waiting to have my camera on hand to post my room.

I hate people that still say AVG is good. It was at the beginning of the year, but it doesn't mean it still is. In fact, now it's one of the worse, joining Norton and McAfee.
