Are you using Chrome as a browser? I remember that when I did, well, for the few days I did, Rs would crash every few hours. It has yet to crash on me on IE or Firefox, although I currently play on IE as there are scroll bars on firefox for some reason and that the game image moves and that when I click I actually click under my mouse cursor, not where it's supposed to. Try updating your video card drivers, that could do the trick, we never know.

Thank you for your help, but it wasn't an issue with a BIOS setting. Also, you guys can forget this, I'll reformat my computer tonight or tomorrow, well, when i get time to do so. I got the feeling I have a pretty bad virus, I don't know where it would come from, but system lockups that made me do a system restore, and now the system is getting slow again and a few other things, so that gives me the feeling that I have something pretty bad going on in my computer.

Hi, this is not the first time that it happens, but for some reason when I start the computer, the mouse and keyboard aren't working. I have to change the USB ports they're plugged in to make them work again, probably because it reinstalls the driver everytime I do so. It once did it, but I repaired it using a system restore and that was it, problem gone. This time, it's a result of a system restore I did because the computer was locking up after 5 minutes of having it open. I had scanned beforehand and Avira antivir and superantispyware didn't find anything, so I think I'm pretty much virus free too. Do you guys know of any way to stop this from happening appart from changing the usb ports evey time I start the computer?. Could put those little "door alarms" you can find at the dollar store that make a hell of a lot of noise, would probably fit in the thing and wake you up when it happens.

Make sure your power supply is strong enough for the card. Also Anything is better than an integrated card, so yeah, the PCI-e x16 is the standard used for the cards nowadays, so don't buy an agp or pci card.

How did I know it was a Dell :wall: Quite a few things may be doing this, Going to think about it. I thought about overheating, but I don't think it's the case, or it would stay slow and have the fans run at a higher speed.

1. No, it's a Dell. Been used too and you never know what might have happened to it. 2. Browsing the internet, not much more. 3. Mouse I would say go new, you'd be much better off with an Asus netbook than this.

Have you updated the sound driver, I don't think I've seen you saying so. Also, the problem is not to be solved by Microsoft but whoever made the bad driver, don't blame the OS for what it doesn't have much to do with. Also, have you tried disabling homegroup?

Did you try doing turning off and back on your modem?

What you said about Asus is wrong. Having an Asus laptop myself, I know what extreme quality they are. 2 years down the path, my laptop still works as good as when it was brand new. I don't know about Dell quality though, but last I checked they still broke pretty easilly, and one of them was my friend's DELL XPS just a few months ago, which was 3 months old. And you're even more wrong with Apple. Their computers are the same as the others, but their marketing made you think what you are thinking there, which is simply not true, they're overpriced average computers as much as the ones you see in stores. As for the Toshibas, I've seen quite a few of them running hot, and even one that wasn't a year old that had the screen come off the hinges.

You won't have enough. On weekdays I usually only do that usual browsing and hour of Youtube, and I easily get up to 1GB usage and most of the times over that. But you could check for the first month if you have enough of it plus you can know your internet usage through their website (I'm also with rogers but with the 60GB limit(probably will be upgrading to the 95GB limit package which is the same but $10 more for the extra gigs in the limit, and I don't even download torrents most of the time, although I watch a lot of videos from tv channel's websites), I use their website to know how much usage I have left).
