YES! +1 my friend. I bought last year a used Toyota Echo 2002 (and had it for really cheap too) and despite it having 2 minor accidents and 270k Kilometers, all the parts (except those you change normally because of usage) are the original parts, even the clutch and transmission. I strongly suggest you go for Toyota or Honda as they really last longer than most american brands. And the history of the car is the most important thing to look at, imo.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I get around 90fps :S. There really might be a problem somewhere on your computer, do you have updated drivers and stuff?

Then you have a problem with either your computer or graphics card. I get very good fps on cod4 max settings at a 1920x1080 resolution on my 22 screen with a Nvidia 9800GT 512MB.

I didn't take a look yet, but if it's biased (like I've seen you are on some general discussion topics), I won't take a look again after that video you just posted.

Maybe, but on a home connection, even those that have caps, we pay for a certain amount of bandwidth and we never use all of it, at least it was my case, so it was wasted money for the bandwidth I had paid for but not used.

Linux distros are free, and not only pricewise. http://www2.mandriva.com/downloads/free/ for the live cd for example.

Actually, Windows 7 uses the same amout of RAM that Vista uses, so they're both memory hogs. Vista got known for that since the computers weren't strong enough for it and people still installed it on their computers. I have Windows 7 on both my computers, and Vista starts faster on my old desktop that has 3GB of RAM than my laptop that has 4GB of RAM. New desktop it's much faster though, only around 5 seconds for a hibernate and 20-25 from a cold boot. There isn't really a performance boost either, I regretted getting windows 7 for my new desktop, even with some feature I absolutely love, like libraries, the performance and change isn't worth it right now.

I don't mind the tabs on top. It's just the gui that is ugly as hell in that new version.

How can you name Asus in there? I know Acer and MSI are subpar, but having an Asus laptop myself and multiple Asus parts in my desktop, I find them to have extreme quality, even after 2 years the laptop still seems to have kept the quality, even almost all the battery life. HP does make pretty good computers, but you have to watch out which model you choose, some are known for overheating, and I won't talk about Dell, I've seen too many people have bad luck with them.

I must agree with Devnull here. Based on the screenshots I have seen, I am not willing to upgrade to firefox 4 anytime soon. I find that interface to be ugly as hell and will probably stay on Firefox 3.6 until the next new interface.

Actually, you have to do it to end up with what you want. I never really had trouble with their tools and only ever needed to change very minor things.

Yay, another person to our ranks! (people who don't play RS but still use the tip.it forums) I'm pretty sure the majority of OT frequenters don't play RS anymore. [see's Staff Role] Still do. :( I'll admit its becoming a bit boring now. (Runescape, that is.) OT: Secret - I sleep naked and wear a jumper to bed if its freezing (like last night). DONTJUDGEME, Its very comfy. Sadly, I see myself in OT more often than anywhere else, but I still play. ;_; I try and hide it, though. Who plays RS? O_o Actually, I still play too, and I almost never go outside Off Topic or Tech and Computers on these forum. Not like I still played a lot, but I do still occasionally play.

I don't know, I just finished a programming course at college and we did most of that time with C++ being one of the classes. The introductory one was just procedural C++, and that's what we did for the first year, then OOP for the second year. They never told us C++ with GUI but we did it with Java though.

As far as I've seen, Firefox uses less resources than Chrome, so really the choice is between Firefox and Chrome.

It is very bad having 2 antiviruses on the same computer. Unistall Norton and update Avast, to make sure it has it's files intact. Also, you could scan with malwarebytes. I do think the problem could be elsewhere though.

I have an older version of this model, and the sound really is good, and it's a high quality speaker system. I would recommend them. Mind you it's only 70W, so they will only go so far, but the sound still is strong.
