  1. nothing wrong with a test, imo.
  2. i would be afraid of breaking it, i think i'd take a regular laptop or computer over it anyday, maybe if i did more research i'd like it better, but i don't really like the iphone or the itouch mainly because i hate touch screens, but that's not really reason enough to hate anything. i think i'd just prefer a regular laptop or netbook over it anyday. kinda seems like you drop it and it would break in horrible ways whereas laptops just seem sturdier to me.
  3. my thoughts are this to go with the cloud thing a while back. you fly through the cloud which causes you to crash which kills you. the cloud is not the cause of death, the effects of the impact are. therefore a cloud cannot kill you. a hair shot a 1000000000000 miles per hour does not kill you, the injuries you sustain might (i say might because it will never happen and is not proveable either way and so the effects of such a circumstance would be circumstantial to aerodynamics of the hair, strength of the hair, etc etc.) it all just depends on how you look at it, everything can kill someone by causing them injury, but with the cloud thing, the cause of injury is the cloud, the cause of death is the impact and injury.
  4. honestly, having a crappy computer all my life and never really gaming on a computer, i don't even know what antialiasing does or anything. i just know it's there and apparently it makes things look prettier.
  5. i would assume adding certain lines to a configuration file somewhere would do it, have you googled at all? i don't have it on a computer so i haven't looked, but that would be my guess.
  6. 2 million would be intense, that'd be more than the tsunami in indonesia killed those few years ago, and that was the worst natural disaster to date, if my history channel programming wasn't telling me lies.
  7. wow. just wow. the thing will have an off button i'm sure. radical idea but if you don't want it broadcasting stuff, TURN IT OFF! omg, amazing idea, right? did you even watch the tedtalk about it? it really doesn't seem like you did, more like you just watched parts of it. i really can't see why you're so against it, once the device gets smaller and less invasive, it would be amazing for real world applications, maybe not necessarily to where for everything, but if you go on a tour or vacation or something, it would make picture taking a lot easier because you just make the hand motion to take the picture, then later on you can organise everything by just looking at a wall and rearranging pictures. it has plenty of use for the real world, it just needs some refining.
  8. bigger obviously. and a phone screen doesn't project an image where you want so if you want to show something to someone else it's still just a small screen. also, i have a blackberry, i know of no functionality with any projectors, lol. i did see some other commercial for some phone that you could attach a projector to. also archimage, the blackberry wouldn't change what you were looking at without physically interacting with the blackberry itself, with the six sense tech being motion sensing tech, you don't have to touch the device, it automatically recognizes the actions you do and things like that. it's the integration of computers into daily life without changing daily life much, you don't have to pick up your phone or go to a laptop or something like that in order to do something, you just make a hand motion instead.
  9. i thought this was pretty cool, i saw it a while ago, but i like the idea of it with newspapers, or with a blank piece of paper as your "screen"
  10. that's ok babe, i like the purple too :D
  11. jeez, i don't post any pictures for like 6 months and then BAM, 5 new ones within like a week and a half. obviously posting this cause i got a haircut.
  12. those children are delicious i suppose, similar to veal i've been told. good thing you had some soup.
  13. i'm proud to say as far as i'm aware i'm unique so far.
  14. i officially hated this event, it annoyed me to no end. i'm also fairly pissed that they'll be removing the spin glitch for weapons, as that is far more fun than the event was. thank you jagex for making me log on for this event that wasn't even that good, also, the imps are [wagon] and annoying as hell too.
  15. found a santa hat at my friend's house today, obligatory pictures below, although they are bad quality because they were taken from my phone's 2mp camera. this also means new profile picture (bottom one, i'm an evil santa), after christmas i will revert to my furry hat headshot again. edit: my teeth look really yellow in this picture, they aren't really that yellow. they have one of those old lightbulbs that is more yellow than white over the stairs to the front-right of me, i blame that :(
  16. i resent that, thusly i will not thank any of you crew members for anything ever again, instead i'd like to thank the normal users for using this site, because without them, all us staff wouldn't be needed. clearly it's normal users > admins(except for maybe n_odie) > tet = crew = mods > (n_odie probably belongs here :P)
  17. the only aspect of pillaging i would enjoy would be the arson, but that's offtopic even more than we already are :P
  18. i've never pillaged anything before! it's not in my traits. interesting to see how people think of me though. you guys never seem to cease to surprise me with things, in any of the forums.
  19. well, technically runehq has always been invited to our parties, we've just never posted event posts on your forums as far as i'm aware, you all are more than welcome to come and have fun with us though, if i could get on i'd come to your event.
  20. you don't wear a paper bag over your head or have someone talk for you irl, do you? i assume not, thusly why should you for us? sure, some people may end up being [wagon] about it, but no one is really going to give a damn what you look or sound like. my advice is to grow some damn balls and post a video without a paper bag over your head and without microsoft sam.
  21. i have a profile picture now too, featuring the hat. you'd be amazed at how many compliments that hat gets me in random places irl.
  22. i got a weird look at the gas station a little bit ago when i went, i'm assuming it was cause of my outfit, but it could also have been the fact that my outfit is just so damn sexy. also, ignore the baby formula in the picture, that's my friend's. i don't have a baby :P looks a bit funky in the mirror too, because it's actually a mirrored cabinet at the bottom by my pants.
  23. i found some funny stuff i didnt' even remember i had, lol. although i'm kinda annoyed, i just emptied my recycle bin earlier and i had some movies in there that i deleted for space :/
  24. erm, well now i'm annoyed. i just plugged the drive in after finding it, because i forgot where i put it. i remember i had asked you about this drive once before when it first was an issue, peter. anyway, i just plugged it in and it worked even though i've done nothing to it since the last time i used it, it's been sitting on my floor in a plastic bag with some other stuff for like 4 or 5 months and now suddenly it works. thanks for your help although asking about the warranty spiraled into this whole complicated thing for me as newegg took simpletech off their list of brands, and i couldnt' find the drive on the simpletech site. oh well. thanks!
  25. they said it wouldn't use much more cpu. Cheaper and more powerful processors have always been released since the dawn of the computer age, but there will always be old computers that don't have a fancy processor or a recent graphics card. Unusually for a game, what we need to focus on is the oldest hardware that people still use regularly on a computer instead of new releases. That means considering computers that only use integrated graphics/ old graphics cards and ~2GHz processors for the lowest settings of the game. The question is, should basic weather/particle effects be compulsory for everyone? i can barely run rs2 as it is, especially at tet events and stuff it becomes unrunable, as i'm on a 2.93ghz celeron with an equally old integrated graphics card. they also said the effect would be scalable, which i assume means you can turn it completely off as well. That means considering computers that only use integrated graphics/ old graphics cards and ~2GHz processors for the lowest settings of the game. The question is, should basic weather/particle effects be compulsory for everyone? Yeah now a days though you can pick up a decent computer for only a few hundred dollars that can run any game on the market. Newegg is your friend. clearly you come from a family that has enough money for a new computer every 2 years or whatever ridiculous speed you want, if you'll give me a few hundred dollars, then sure i'll happily go on newegg and buy a new computer, unfortunately for a lot of people a few hundred dollars is unavailable for a new computer. that's not a viable solution "oh, this is harder to use now, you have to upgrade this or buy this new component so you can use this properly" that doesn't work every time, you'll end up with a customer base of people who can only afford better computer, and runescape tries to attract everyone, i realize there is a limit on how compatible they can be with old computer, and i'm assuming i am nearing that limit soon, within the next 6 months i probably won't be able to run rs2 on this computer anymore, except for maybe standing somewhere vacant and sitting in a clan chat, but that still doesn't mean that just because i need a new computer i can go out and buy one. tl;dr buying new hardware every time there are upgrades that come out is a useless solution to most people.
