so, i don't know if any of you here are a yahoo messenger power user, but i am. it's nothing really special, got early access to yahoo messenger 9.0 beta, and other little things. one of those other little things was an offer by yahoo to send refrigerator magnets to people, on a first come first serve basis. i was just wondering if you agree with programs such as yahoo messenger, or any other program really doing things like this for their longstanding users. i think it's pretty cool, and has definately improved yahoo messenger in my opinion. 9.0 is nice. and the magnets are damn sweet. [hide=yahoo fridge emoticons][/hide] EDIT cause I seem to have forgotten another discussion point I wanted to bring up: have you ever received something from a company for being loyal or whatever? What did you get?

your whole paragraph there, laura, is not something i fully agree with, mainly on all the thinking about reporting and all that. i for one, do not report in my chat, unless i have a damn good reason to, usually, i just kick and or ban, many of the pmods that come in my chat have power, but they are encouraged to do as they feel, not sure if it ends up with reports or kicks, probably both. but still. all that thinking stuff is irrelevant to my personal modding. if i see something, i think "do i really care enough to report?" generally, the answer is no, unless it's a website advertiser or something like that. it's just not that big of a deal, if i see the same person doing it repeatedly, such as in my clan chat or something, i'll warn and kick, and report if they repeat it. i'm not a heavy reporter at all, i never have been, i think all of my reports, except for 1 or 2 have been spot on. as for the image of pmods, i do hate how we are viewed by a lot of people, namely once i speak in public chat, and see someone say "ew mod" or something to that effect, to which my reply is "ew, normie". then i usually get in a lengthy discussion about how mods aren't something to "ew" at, we are just like everyone else. our image could stand to be improved, i do my part by not making pmods look even worse than we are perceived. i'm genuinely happy with how i've seen pmods ingame, even before i was one, i don't entirely get where we get our image from, except that we are seen as positions of authority, and people don't like authority.

i am on google chrome 0.4.154.29, the most up to date version of chrome possible for the public. you've gotta go through some dilapidated process to switch it to the developer's version, which will then update it to the newest version for that, which has all the latest bugfixes and stuff.

Are you sure about that? i'm pretty sure, i've not seen or heard anything about it and i've been a mod for 2 years. obviously if you are threatening to kill someone on runescape or something incredibly stupid like that, yeah then they should be reported. minor offences like this are just insubstantial and don't need to be bothered with by anyone.

and so begins my winter. starting today, december 1st, 2008, i will not shave my face until at least april 1st, 2009. i shall post a picture up here periodically, and we can all laugh later on about how hairy my face is. when i do decide to shave my face, i cannot guarantee my goatee will survive. most likely it will, as i have grown quite attached to that scruff of hair on my chin, but we'll see when the time comes. oh, as a side note, i'm not getting a haircut either, so i'll be a totally hairy beast by the time next spring hits.

i would honestly have to say a blackberry storm, i don't own one (i'm on at&t) but i do own a blackberry 8300, and i would kill (read stab) for a blackberry storm if i could. my blackberry 8300 is fantastic, best phone i've ever owned. i love everything about it, and i'm sure the storm is just an improvement. can't really tell you much about other phones, as i haven't used a different phone for over a year now, the phone i used to use isn't even made anymore i don't think (kyocera strobe).

well let's see, it happened in basically their version of off topic. there is already one other post here on our off topic about someone's friend wanting to commit suicide. what if someone here actually posted that they wanted to commit suicide? what if they had posted numerous times about it but never went through about it? i can imagine that the same thing might happen, although our mods are quite good i'd bet. the possibility is still there. they can't really lock the thread, if they did, it might just cause the person to be like "omg, they locked my thread, they don't care *kills him/herself*" it would be best to leave it open no matter what imo, i do agree that the mods are partially at fault, but you can't really just ban the whole topic about it, cause that might just spiral the person into actually doing it thinking no one cares. granted yes, if users were egging him on and stuff, they should be banned regardless, but the entire topic itself shouldn't be.

the moderators didn't think he was serious. he said he was gonna commit suicide quite often from what i read on the threads. one person said he did it seemingly once a month. so it was a boy who cried wolf kind of thing. moderators were contacted, they blew it off cause of the boy who cried wolf. the watchers on the webcam didn't think he was gonna do it, or die from it, so they didn't call police till it was too late. there are plenty of valid reasons for it, but plenty of reasons saying it never should have happened. depends how you look at it.

we don't know yet. in order to repair your dragon platebody (yes, it needs repair) you need 99 smithing. i assume you find it broken. i know it needs to be repaired (as for degradation and such, i'm as clueless as you) cause of the ingame skill guide, click smithing and other or miscellaneous or whatever, it's at the bottom.

they knew approximately where he lived, and what school he went to and all that, that's how they knew what police to call, and how they located him. he was at the school dorms i believe. the internet is an amazing thing when you tell someone the smallest bit of information, they can possibly find you. works good and bad.

he was, before he passed out and later died, the webcam was pointed at his bed. the feed was still going though.
