  1. "Also, you can find an ancient ruby necklace in a specimen rock. Show it to an archeologist and it will unlock an enchantment spell that you can use on a ruby necklace, which will then be able to teleport you to the north side of the Dig Site" In the Varrock Museum guide, is this to which you are referring? If so, I'm not seeing how it's vague...
  2. Please don't double post. When someone who knows the answer for sure sees this, they'll answer. I never paid attention while I was Stringing.

You only receive 1875 xp per urn teleporting away. I'd be willing to say it's more xp at the ecto.
  4. Assuming the RSN on his profile is what he'll be using, he doesn't have access to String Jewelry. He's only at 67 magic. Along that point, however, high alching is a bad spell to go with. Normally you can do better superheating, however keep in mind Goldsmithing gauntlets will NOT work during the weekend.

There will be a teleport option once you fill the urn (fills automatically while in you're inventory), just press it and you'll gain xp. Or you can just bank it and use it later.
  6. Moved, as this doesn't belong in the Website discussions thread, but here in the Help and Advice thread.
  7. Is it a kitten still?
  8. You can collect Mort Myre Fungus to get a starting cash pile. Resource gathering skills don't make much money these days.
  9. That's a pretty bold statement, we could get a very large influx of new players (especially with the recent updates to trading and the wilderness) all hoping to buy whips; they haven't had enough time to do that yet! Your 'supply' may just be once again outweighed by demand. My point is that it isn't the whips that are losing value, it's everything. I can't explain why this is, since not everything has a larger supply and some things with a much larger supply are doing better than others. Really, considering the huge effect the changes have made, we can't predict anything right now other than the RS economy is going to act very differently from now on. You can't make an argument on "what if's". And "we" cannot predict the economy, but those of us who were here to see the changes from old wildy to no wildy have a pretty good idea of what it's going to be again. The prices went up because if you died with a whip, it was gone forever. Now it just changes hands, so there will be plenty in supply with all the abby demon hunters.
  10. I don't understand why anyone would want to be a nit-picker. I'm sorry, but isn't the price of everything crashing right now? We've just been launched into a completely different economy and people see chaos and are loosing faith. I'm sure most of the prices will go up, just give it a few months. Meanwhile, all you buyers out there can enjoy freshly low prices on everything. Prices are going down on a lot of things due to what bedman said. Demand is stable, supply is increasing since items aren't lost on death. They won't return to what they were.
  11. We knew about free trade coming back quite a while before it actually did, as well.
  12. It's actually the water that makes you feel better. When I go out drinking, I make sure to drink water during the night as well, since you get dehydrated while drinking (you go to the bathroom 1,000 times per night, and alcohol doesn't rehydrate you). I have only had one hangover in my life, and that was the night I didn't drink water.

Lucky natives! I'm from the Cheyenne River Sioux tribe...one of the poorest in South Dakota lol. I live on a Santee Sioux reservation though, the casino here isn't doing too hot.

Unless you can find an empty world, chins are a pretty crowded place, and probably will remain so (as when you use chins, they're gone for good, and they're amazing fast range xp, so there will always be a demand for them). You can go try Penguins (I believe you need a quest for them...Hunt for Red Raktuber I want to say. They're comparable to red sallys (possibly even better, as I cannot remember the figures off of the top of my head), and there's a broken boat with free ropes and nets on the iceberg itself.
  15. Yeah I'm thinking mornings sound like the best choice go at like 6am or w/e before its busy. Would I be right in saying here the first kind is best for general cardio, fat burning sort of work while the second is better for pushing stamina barriers? Sorry for the late response, been away the past couple days. Anyways, from my experience, the long distance one improves your leg endurance as well as your body's natural endurance to work for longer periods of time, while the second one improves your bodies ability to take in the oxygen needed during intense periods, and improve your stamina during intense periods. (The pace run just improves your ability to run at a certain pace)

I don't believe so. That's the nature of the beast.
  17. First weekend = had drill, didn't get on Second weekend = had drill, got on maybe an hour or two...did some mining This weekend = ...have drill (what a surprise!), probably won't do anything hardcore
  18. I actually did the Agility Pyramid until level 50 (where I used the wildy course). I did the pyramid because it was easier for me to train it there than at an agility course.
  19. How good are you at waking up in the morning? If you can, I love running in the mornings. Nice crisp fresh air, no one around to watch you if you're self conscious (if it's early enough). I'd recommend mixing up two to three kinds of runs. First run is a longer slower run. I go for about 20 minutes, try to go at least 15, but at a slow pace. The second kind is sprinting. I do what are called 30/60's. You basically start off with a jog, then sprint (I mean SPRINT) for 30 seconds, then walk for 60 seconds, then repeat that 6-10 times. You can also do 60/120's, same concept (sprint 60, walk 120). The third kind is optional, and the reason I do it is because in the military, you need to run a certain time, is a pace run. Run about 10 minutes at a certain pace. I need to run at least an 8:00 mile time to pass, so I pace myself at an 8 minute mile, that way I'll get a feeling of how fast I have to run.
  20. I've read about Black Demons and cannon in Tav for charms as opposed to bursting. This intrigued me as I was never crazy about bursting lobs. 1) What would a good melee set-up be? (No exts/tum/yak/chaotics) 2) Is it worth to bank/urn the ashes? 3) How many cballs does the average trip take? 4) What are the rates (taking into consideration my stats) of melee xp and charms? 5) Anything else I should know?
  21. If it means that much to you...start a new character. It's just a game, after all. It's not like the world is going to end because you gained an extra couple levels because you decided to level summoning on your own conscience will.
  22. No, you buy bones at 103gp and sell them for 147, because the 4hrs till you can sell limit is gone, so the faster you trades come through, the more you can trade, hence why its smarte to earn a little less each trade, but in the long run trade more trades. He meant the minimum and maximum you can buy instantly. There's no price limit anymore. I think you misinterpretted what NikolaiH was saying. He meant if the absolute minimum u can buy bones for is 100gp, buy at 103gp and if the max they sell at is 150gp sell for 147gp. Aka buy a few gp OVER the absolute minimum and sell a few gp UNDER the absolute maximum as this means you get far more instant-buys and sells thus speeding up the amount of trades you do and overall increased time:money ratio despite reducing the profit per item I misinterpreted you, not him. I thought you were saying if the absolute minimum you can buy instantly is 100. In any case, there is no absolute minimum anymore.

  24. I would highly recommend not doing clues for a profit. Some of them take pretty long and especially since you're pretty low leveled - you won't have access to a lot of transportation. Doing lvl 1 clues would probably be a lot more trouble then its worth. However, if you get lucky ... that's a couple mil in the bank for pretty minimal effort. Like aspeeder said, I'd go pick Mort Myre Fungi instead of doing clues. In my four and a half years on this account, my highest clue scroll reward is about 150k.
  25. Zoomdoggle.com is rather nice.
