  1. Jagex are too lazy to do anything about it. They simply rely on an automated system. Bots will never go away. There is nothing we can do about it. Personally, I have two macoring offenses. The first was in '07. This was the golden age of the kids. Taking 30s to type 5 words was baseline. I exceeded that too much. Second was in '09. I clearly explained I was using mousekeys. NObody gives a damn. So in the end, the bots are going to run rampant anyways. They adapt to what we do, and Jagex doesn't care. Stopping GE FM bots was very fun. Now, they've learned to move if you set a fire in their path. Also, removal of bots would crash the economy again. Raw prices would shoot up. I don't think anybody wants that.
  2. There are different levels of boss. Top tier is Corp, TDs, Frosties. Then theres GWD. Lower down is Barrows, Green Dragons, etc. Lastly skills. Its disillusion to think you can skip to the top.
  3. I guess it just comes down to, like every other thread on F2P and whatnot; lazy people.
  4. Who said that lol.
  5. This; the fathering tools arn't worth it, although the knife is kinda useful.
  6. Separating into categories, we get 1. Botters 40% 2. Chinese gold farmers 20% (Most of these bot) 3. Legit players who whine and [bleep] and complain about botters and do stupid [cabbage] like "bot hunting" and reporting everyone who curses or doesn't respond to their idiocy on runescape (wannabe mods) 40% 4. Normal, cool people who just dont give a [cabbage] and just want to play the game 0%
  7. You can stagger attacks. For example, you can let Supreme hit first, wait 0.25 a second, and start attacking. That way you can easily switch between SS and Deflects
  8. Of course DPS doesnt always win, but good luck trying to KO when your opponent can eat twice, three, maybe even 4 times between hits. Claw spec is not reliant on speed. People can't simply eat eat eat eat eat the entire fight. You have to take a chance or you cannot win. Sure, you can slow melee, but I'm going to keep barraging you will you eat. Once you get low, one hit is all that is required. Lets not even forget you can eat at the maximum of 2 food per attack cycle, even if the opponant is pure melee.
  9. If by profit you mean more than 0 GP expected an hour, I disagree with your claim. Almost all bosses are profitable (more than 0 gp an hour) as long as you aren't like... using brews, PvP gear, and Overloads for no reason. For example, don't say barraging the KQ is unprofitable... cause no one does that. Hunting, Making unf pots, Frost Dragons (yes, the only real requirement is 85 DG) all can make around 1M an hour. Double nats too maybe? Farming. There's a lot more but I haven't done my research into alternative monemaking. As for using shoddy gear... the most expensive thing that anyone really needs is DClaws. Everything on top of that - Armadyl, Bandos, Fury, DFS - is gravy and doesn't make or break killing a boss. Sure, training to 95 prayer and 91+ Herb are expensive, but there are ways to train those skills without such high cost (getting your own bones, soul wars, nightshade gathering, herb cleaning). DG is also completely free. For the higher levelled players, the only way to make cash is the top tier stuff. I think there are bosses where you lose money. If you go kill the KQ or KBD, you are wasting time. Time=money,
  10. Summon Tank. Fun. Nuff said
  11. Some facts: You CAN "Melee" avansies with the salamander because it is technically classified as a range weapon. The above quote is incorrect. Maximum damage is equal to 2.5 multiplied by the associated skill(Range/Magic/Strength)
  12. Go play WoW and all of your symptoms will go away. Seriously, what is there to be addicted about Runescape? Oh, I get to go do a farm run today and go kill 2349872394723 TDs.
  13. I'll get the drop, remember how long of a dry streak that was, and be disappointed as ever. The one time I was happy was getting a double barrows drop followed by another helm drop.
  14. The majority of people with SS can take spinolops without getting hit that hard. Lets not forget you can stagger attacks, allowing you to flick Deflect prayers during the enemy attacks, and SS during your own. Coming from someone who does tribrid DK in full tank gear, I have to say the damage you receive from spinolyps is NOT negligible. Otherwise I could kill all 3 kings without food. And yes, it's possible to flick between deflects and SS, but that's also a lot of effort and may not fit certain players' playstyles. (i.e. people who like to semi-afk) No, its not negligible, but your not getting hit that hard or constantly. I duo/trio with people that have SS, and it more than suffices in keeping their HP up. Maybe you have bad luck or something, but usually they do not hit constantly. Even in melee gear the magic attack splashes a lot. Even healing off of the spinolyps is possible, as they die very quickly.
  15. I cannon people's chins to see if they are bots or not.
  16. Well, unfortunately if you are over the age of 16 or so, you can get a Credit Card. Most adults can afford 20 cents a day. Typically, however, this is true that people who make a case of having tons of money and whatnot but can't buy membership is because they do not have access to a credit card.
  17. Its not selfish. It is selfish to think everybody is an equal. It depends on how you use the spot. For example, on Tzharr tasks I will always take the spawn right outside of the bank. This is because I need to bank the Obsidian Charms. There are noobs outside who safespot and do not pick up charms. It is better for them to move one spot over.
  18. Spam more. This has nothing to do with the particular level of the skill.
  19. Whats funny is that you guys think PvP is a slugfest where DPS wins because you force the enemy to go through their food first.
  20. Skillers and low levels tend to be bots. For example, if you could bot, would you rather bot on your main or make a fresh level 3 and go bot? Especially before the trade limit, most people would rather bot on level 3 accounts and give the supplies over. There was no risk.
  21. Its logical to enlist the help of noobs for a few kills to speed things up.
  22. This usually means they believe you are a 10 year old kid. Plenty of kids have $6, but they can't pay because they do not have a credit card.
  23. Bots keep the economy stable, although in a different way than the real world. Honestly, if all the bots got banned, raw material prices would shoot up. Production skills would be invaluable, and make the Runescape economy "normal." Unfortunately, for every legit fisher who fishes 10 hours a day, there are 100 more people who want to buy the food. Gf economy even more
  24. The majority of people with SS can take spinolops without getting hit that hard. Lets not forget you can stagger attacks, allowing you to flick Deflect prayers during the enemy attacks, and SS during your own.
  25. Well, lvl 50s did it with the original Kyatt bug...Without bugs the Kyatt is still amazing, and I've seen 70s do it. 8/10. Very nice
