There have been no significant money sinks put into the game therefore inflation is just as bad as it was before and getting worse every day. The shift in price you are seeing is just runescape buy/sell emotion based on nothing more then people buying items they cant afford hoping they rise in price. 99 runecrafting isn't really a goal a newer player should shoot for. I have tremendous patience for this game and runecrafting makes even me want to lick the blender.

HEY MAN i am one of those clowns at draynor saying they are going for 99 wc and i am pretty darn close for only 2 years =p he is right, the best way to look at it is by looking at good stopping points maybe intervals of 10 levels then break until you get to 100k xp to get level then maybe 7 levels, y'know? I have nothing but love for you but...... You are not even 25% of the way to 99 woodcutting, at this rate it will be another 6 years for one 99. Well i wouldent even start an assessment from 40, so lets say for the sake of conversation you are 75. You can get about 25k / hour at the zmi alter, alot of noobs will chime up and say "durr durr durr i get 35k / hour ya ya ya" but thats all a load. They never factor in going to the can, misclicks, pop tarts, rolling joints, the phone, people comming over.... i could go on forever. at 25k / hour you are looking at about 480 hours. Assuming you put in 4 hours a day you are looking at 120 days or 4 months. We really cant take you seriously saying you are going for 99 in runecrafting starting at 40. Thats like walking to the store to get a slurpy and asking someone on the way "how long would it take to walk to iraq for some hummus". You sound like one of those clowns at draynor with level 40 wc saying they are going for 99. If you are serious about getting 99 in a skill like that, what will make or break you wont be methods or min/max exp per hour, it will be a method to keep yourself occupied so you wont go INSANE doing thousands of repetitive runecrafting runs. Seriously its enough to make you want to eat a kitten for breakfast. I recomend watching all 10 seasons of stargate sg1 in a window beside the runescape window (rs window in fixed size). All 10 seasons will pretty much take you into the mid 90s assuming you stop using the zmi after 91. Taco out.

Not really, I think they need to make it more "appealing" by adding unique rewards and such, special stat-boosting gear for higher ranks/points, etc. add a point system and a special pvp gear set you can buy with it like in World of lamecraft. that would be cool.

change PvP so you can ONLY get an artifact worth up to 2x what the person you killed had on them. Boom influx of gold has been slowed to a snales crawl. Add a money sink to the game in the form of a new skill and we have a working fix. Plug the hole and make a drain its simple. NO FIX WILL EVER WORK UNLESS THE 76k TRICK IS FIXED. Say that line 100x. Im getting sick of all the useless suggestions.

jagex has stated before that Melee consumes food, magic consumes runes, and ranged consumes arrows ranged and magic could consume food too, and melee could NOT consume food if the target is low enough level. But yeah melee isn't free in jagex's eyes either. Thus they would not justify making ranged free. Because then you could tackle say, dragons at 0 cost. melee cannot do that. Who uses food anymore really? They should make a summon then like the bunyimp that works for amo.

I sure am glad they released some real high level content, i was getting sick of all the noob updates. Lets just hope the rewards are worth it. Looks like i need some smithing levels, good thing i have like 3400 sc points banked.

My guess is to stop the system constantly getting pounded by players every single day. But its only a month, pick a sensible name you like next time. Ill cut and past this from another thread i posted it in. Well i did 92-99 farming in 31 days. Magic/yews 3 x per day. Herbs every 90 min (or the best you can manage. Drink a leter of water before bed and place another leter by the computer, that way when you wake up and have to use the can you can flip herbs, bushes, melons, and maby trees depending on where you are in the rotation. Drink the water by the computer and replace it). I grew kwuarms the whole way. Bushes every second herb run (always poison ivys) Watermelons every herb run, nastrums in the flower spot prevent them from disease 100% of the time. The whole deal cost me about 90 million. I did it from April 18 - May 19 of this year so the price for you might be different. Farming is a very fast skill if you plan ahead and have the cash to burn.

It really depends on how long you are going to be gone for. From what i can gather rares have always grown in value when looking over a long enough period of time. The next skill could be a cash sink and cause people to dump their rares and drop the price. There is no way to tell. You could buy all the stuff you need to max out some of the buyable skills and have it all banked for when you get back. Thats what i would do.

Well you need to figure out how many crimson charms you need to reach 88, there is a nice calc on tip.it. You pretty much get 250 crimson average for every 1k casts of burst. So with todays prices: 2k Deaths = 878,000g 4k Chaos = 440,000g 4k Water = 180,000g Total = 1,498,000. round up to 1.5m. Thats about a cost of 6000 / charm. When i used my charms i would make 1k granite lobsters at a time, then trade the pouches in for shards and buy the shards i lost to make the next 1k pouches. It worked out to 1,225,000g lost per 1k crimson. I don't count the cost of the granite because its pretty much worth nothing. So assuming from you sig you are level 80 summon already, and im assuming you are at exactually level 80. You would need to make 7371 Granite lobsters to reach level 88. The total cost would be. 7371 x 6000 = 44,226,000g for the charms. (7371/1000) x 1,225,000 = 9,029,475 For the shards. (assuming you kept the last lot of 70% shards from the last 1k granite lobsters. The total shard cost would be a bit less if you sold the last lot of shards once you hit 88) The final total being 53,225,475gp to get from 80-88. If you are board check my math i could be wrong but that number looks right. You would probably get 99 mage on the way to 88 summon as well. Runescape math is FUN! SIDEBAR! You would need about 60k death runes to pull this off, that get you 600k RC exp and cut the cost of the bursting pretty much in half.

I made about 20m getting 99 strength training on basilisks, i did 85-99. They drop herbs and runes that you can sell for good cash and they are easy. If i remember correct each kill was like 300 exp. I do warn you though, once i got into slayer i was kicking myself for leveling on basilisks. I made about 200m off slayer, defiantly train slayer for combat levels because slayer is a lot slower once you stop getting combat levels, its just more fun when you are getting strength attack and defense levels.

I dont care what they do they just need to do something. They need to stop the 76k trick. Maby they should make it the longer you sit on your [wagon] gaining EP the higher your PvP combat level rose. That way people could PK the lower 76kers... i would love to spend a few hours gankng them. If you put the items people lost from PvP on the GE that would be perfect, because once they sold the cash is removed from the game. If jagax can really develop software that can detect sophisticated bot software then they can come up with a way to tell who is a 76ker and give them nothing for drops.
