Unplug the router late at night, click the reset button, turn it and your laptop on then st a kay up again. I suggest something long 13+ charaters should do the job. Also look into a program for managing your wireless network.

Thats odd, I never have such problems with torrents I've never seen a virus in an illegal torrent ever (and I download ALLOT both legal and otherwise). In fact if any version is going to contain malware it's the legal version. (Google "Sony rootkit") It may depend on the torrent site you use, I prefer ThePirateBay as my first choice they have good trackers in place. Agree'd, now I use uTorrent and everything I download I scan with virustotal.com which uses around 20+ virus programs all the top like nod32 and kaspersky and I barely find anything wrong with what I download, you just need to look at the torrents infomation and comments (ThePirateBay ftw!) before downloading. Maybe you want to risk getting a lawsuit and decide to download an abode CS3 products and a keygen, now most CS3 programs are around 50MB in size but you look and see one called "photoshop.key.gen.hack.serial.cs3.abode" that has 0 seeders and 0 leechers and is a 513Kb sized file that you decide to download click on and find thing to happen when you computer is filling up with crap you don't know about and cant find.

Ofcoruse you do, if your banned because of billing issuses you ALWAYS have a chance at getting your account back. You just have to paybay your negitive balance, and your free to go. I don't think gold is correct I belive they take any payment weather or not its pay for a negitive balance or membership. I think if you log into your account under the billing side it'll give you an option to pay your debt then bring you to the pay options screen. ~ Captainkidd

What did the page just not load after that or did it and you logged in with no membership added? First check your paypal account if you see the money was charged then you should wait atleast a day, if there still nothing then contact there billing. If there hasn't been money charged or there has and theres no money in the payapl account you'll need to try it again and put money in the account (If there isn't any) Hope I could help... ~ Captainkidd

Once scaned upload then on imageshack and in the appeal send them then link and a short description of what happend, you could also send it though the mail (Not E-mail... Though you could try) to them, its not like they could look past that... Make the envelope red with big white letters that say "READ" on the front. Or if you have a memeber account make a post on the forums granted it'll be locked or deleted but someone may read it. I got a quick question is your account even worth "saving" I mean if none of the stats are above 40 then just try and restart if not and you got a couple 99's then SORRY and GOODLUCK! ~ Captainkidd

HAHA! Now I'm guessing these are all the websites this computer has visited they all have the local host number thing in front of them "127.0.0.1" and I did a search to see if machinima was even on there and it came up with nothing... Now there's a disable hosts button, what will that acutally do? Do I even need the hosts thingy setup to view the webpage or is it like a cache to help the site load faster? Anyway to delete these and "start-over" again with out paritioning?

So apperently I can visit machinima.com though a proxy but not normally though my browser... Whats up? I'm using IE7 and no FireFox isn't an option, "others" who use this computer (even though I bought and paided for the whole thing I still have to let people use it) can barely operate windows calculator, so browser that has more then an adress bar and a back button is simply greek to them. I've already tried it cause a big fuss and ending with one of the "ska*nks" son's to have a black eye and pushed down a set of stairs putting a huge whole in the wall... Good times... New update agaisnt people with less rl money
Captainkidd replied to 999134's topic in General Discussion
Well seeing nobody here has the brain power to get into a real dicussion with real facts about a real problem or just old read my post... (Apperently two paragraphs is just two paragraphs to many... :) ) So I'll comment on the topic at hand... w3ll us dang simp'der peoplees dusk caint afferd dem der faNCY pe0eples compoo'ters 'caus we a beggin topics ta ah be changeder... #-o People like 999134fishy, are the same people who want to ban "The three little pig's" story from public school... As implying of eating pigs is against the Muslim religon. Yeah well the United States recognizes any religion that you can come up with as being valid if it doesn't hurt others, yourself, ect. Well what if I started a religion that doesn't believe in tests and grading do you really think the goverment is going to allow no more tests and grading of any kind go on in the public schools because some kid thinks it offends him? I think not. Now... Anyone who doesn't have a computer powerful enough to download this client and play-on probley has a screen resolution of 800 x 6000, well when you play runescape on 800x 600 IT IS FULL SCREEN, so whats the difference? About a 200 X 200 bow of pixels on the lower-left hand side... Oooo, like someone is really going to mis out on alot because of that... Really, EPIC fail. -
New update agaisnt people with less rl money
Captainkidd replied to 999134's topic in General Discussion
Your totally wrong! Granted if you could buy gp with real life money people would do it all the time and people that are rich, rich (like get 1,000 dollars a week to spend on anything) probley will be higher on the hi-scores list then someone who gets an allowance of $20 a week. Now anyone with a computer and internet isn't dirt poor living on the streets. I'd bet that about 95%+ of runescape players have an iPod, T.V. in there own room, cell phone, Xbox 360/PS3 with a couple hundred dollars worth of games, go to school every year with a 50-100 dollar pair of shoes on and a couple hundred dollars worth of clothes. Now anyone who is in the top 1,000 of the hi-scores list obviously likes the game enough to play 5 hours a day and more on weekends. (Now don't give me all this bull about how much they play because if you do the math you'll probley find that they play even more...) Now just because you have a thousand dollars to spend on gp doesn't take away the fact that you still need to play the couple hundred hours a year to get where they are. Now lets say there are people who have old computers playing on dial-up and live in a crappy house, wear crappy clothes and really have nothing, but LOVE runescape. Now if there > 18 the last thing they should be worrying about is runecrafting natures when they should be working to try and get out of the crappy life style, and anyone < 18 who is 'poor' probley shouldn't be worrying about doing barrows tonight but where there going to get money to get a car. Now your prolbey going to yell at me about the middle class people that have "an iPod, T.V. in there own room, cell phone, Xbox 360/PS3 with a couple hundred dollars worth of games, go to school every year with a 50-100 dollar pair of shoes on and a couple hundred dollars worth of clothes, and a $20 a week allowance" and how there going to get "jipped" out of spaces on the hi-score list because they just can't afford it... Well tell them to not to buy a new fifty dollar game that they'll never pick up a week later and spend it on runescape. I mean if they really like'd the game then they wouldn't mind spending money on it. *Hold up anti-flame shield with one hand and a double ball mace in the other* Come on and get meh! -

omg ur completly right....spammer.. Lol... Flaming someone who is following up on your question is a great way to get help... I'd do option 1, as green dragons are pretty much empty now so if you stock up on glories and have some lobsters you should be fine.
-
This is a horrible idea, as it breaks jagex and tip.it rules so the only answer your going to get is NO, real world trading rule number 12...
-
I don't support is people who don't use this will have to have there topic locked, causing fustration with new users and more work for staff, simply it's a bad idea what established now is fine, because genraly you can tell wheather it's F2P or a P2P question from the title, and possibly what the question is.
-
Lol? Spamming for post count? Alright THATS funny. He probley didn't know, got knocked off or logged off before the little count down starts up... Why do you have to flame people when they don't know about somthing, this is the Help & Advice forum, so if you don't like people asking questions stop coming around and spamming...for post count

Certain boards SWAMPED with copy threads.
Captainkidd replied to King_Royale's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
Well, theres only this many threads because summoning was suppose to be one of jagex biggest updates...well thats a bust. How ever, a subforum isn't a bad idea in my book, just probley not nessary as in a month of two when this all dies down, so will the threads and so too will the sub forum. Maybe creating one when a big update that has people talking and deleting it when it's not used much anymore would be an idea... -
I was thinking helpful groups that were social also...but I see that it would require too much attention of helping, so I think a social group that does a fair amount of helping would be the right idea here. The non-user friendly part would be with the time zones...Having people not know what time zone there in, or not having anyone to help them in there time zone and redirecting them to another one. But I can see that this could be sloved easily buy making a thread about how to find your time zone, then give a link...I also forgot that an average tip.iter is smarter then the average scaper... I wasn't acutally talking about the coding part into the profiles, that never even came to mind while thinking about it. However I was thinking the about the time seening how to use this it's full potential, because I'm not really seening it... I agree, if or when this does become bigger then a thread on General borad it would need staff help, and a good amount, I'm not really sure what they'd need to do, but I can't imagine there not needed, if we could find out a good system to incorperate within the forums profiles and such then we could look at, well does staff need to be pulled away to manage this? Or would we start a new section of staff, kind of like the TET that could handle it. I agree 100% :) I can picture this being up at the end of this coming up weekend, just need to come up with some helpful words of adivce on how to use this...thing, and start on a very long search of guides... :
-
I was trying to lean towards not just being ALL about helping people and hanging out with friends, but not to the extent that your suggesting. Now that I've done it and you've pointed it out the idea with time zones...well isn't really all too "user friendly" I don't see this happening in the near future, as this would require more man hours then what I've suggested, however it does seem like a good idea down the road a few months after this is implemented. Thats the plan. ...Just need to find the proper way to do this... :-k I disagree that maintaning this after it's setup won't be as big of a hassel as you'd think. Would be a simple copy and paste job, with a few PM's that have a template that you have to fill in a few spots. I wouldn't mind doing this at all, I'd just need some help on deleting the post on the thread that are already looked at and put into the Index. Prephaps a new work force, for this (IF it REALLY needs it set by staff) because I'm sure I as well as a hand full others and me that could handle this, not needing staff help. The only real problem I have as of now is finding a better "user-friendly" way to Index the "helpers/friends/POH/ect." Also, another problem is convincing that this wouldn't need as much attention from so many people and...gathering the guides...but thats a whole different story... :ohnoes:

Try a good 210M+
