  1. Just bought one of these. Hope it works. :S http://www.amazon.com/eSATA-SATA-Serial-Bridge-Adapter/dp/B0037AN6H4 I was just going to use the power cable that's attached to the power supply on the computer to power the drive, and use the SATA cord that was in the computer. I just hope that my laptop will recognize the drive. ~ Captainkidd
  2. Well I took my hard drive outta my tower and found out a couple of things. There's a huge heat sink in the CPU, and none on the GPU, it's VERY dusty, and I have a eSATA port on my Laptop, but my hard drive is a SATA. Looks like I need to buy an adapter. ~ Captainkidd
  3. I'm curious why you want to install your OS on the 1TB and put all your files on the 500GB. You could install hundreds of programs and never fill up the 500GB hard drive. I'm assuming you've transferred all your data off the 500GB on to the 1TB. How about taking the 500GB hard drive out of the computer and put the 1TB in the 500GB's spot, then start up the system, put in the 500GB one where the 1TB was and then format it. ~ Captainkidd
  4. Well first off I'd go out and buy Windows 7 before I'd buy a 1TB hard drive. However, you need to install Vista on the 1TB hard drive, boot from that, copy your files from the 500GB on to the 1TB and then reformat the 500GB. Oh and "wiping" the drive is the same as reformatting, they both render the information that was once on the drive unrecognizable although there are programs that can still recover the data off of it even after being "wiped" or reformatted. ~ Captainkidd
  5. Well I doubt I'd be able to barrow a hard drive plus I don't know how to hook it up to my computer to have two, so I'm defiantly not buying one. Is there anyway I could get my laptop to recognize the hard drive on the other computer? Also I've read that you can take the hard drive out and buy an adapter that allows for it to be plugged in via USB, but I don't know if that would work seeing as the hard drive is all unallocated space. ~ Captainkidd
  6. Alright so here's the deal. My desktop got a virus, nasty one at that, it "deleted" my partition and dismounted the hard drive. I downloaded a Windows XP LiveCD and remounted the hard drive but, the LiveCD lacks the program necessary to retrieve data off the now 120GB of unallocated space. I've tried to put a program called 'Recover my files' (http://www.recovermyfiles.com/) in the .iso image and burn it to my disc but when I put it in my computer it doesn't boot from the CD. Not only that, but even if I was to put that program on my LiveCD and recover my data I have no place to save it because the LiveCD doesn't recognize my Laptop (running Windows 7) through a USB or Ethernet connection. Any ideas? I was thinking about trying to find another LiveCD or program that would let my laptop 'see' the hard drive or maybe see about trying to partition the first few GB of HD space and installing Windows XP so I could then install the Recover my files program, but then I'd still need to figure a way to connect my laptop to my desktop... Oh and I do know that the data is still on the computer because the LiveCD had a program that would allow to find 'lost' pictures (but not files, go figure), which I ran and it came up with pictures that were on the computer, also I ran a few checks and the hard drive is still in good condition. ~ Captainkidd
  7. Why not just do green dragons? I mean it's only for one hour, two tops, and then your done with it. ~ Captainkidd
  8. I snagged "The Who". ~ Captainkidd
  9. Where did you get this information? ~ Captainkidd
  10. Why can't you do this your self? All you need is to figure out the mainstream ways people train to 99 in various skills then use the Tip.it calculators and G.E. prices to get your answers. I doubt anyone knows this information off the top of there head. ~ Captainkidd
  11. Heres a very good guide on the fight caves. http://forum.tip.it/topic/72654-the-fight-caves/ And heres a guide for praying switching for Jad, very useful. http://forum.tip.it/topic/181159-prayer-switching-guide-for-tztok-jad/ Don't be discouraged if you don't get it your first, second, or third time. Many maxed out players still haven't even gotten one, it's a difficult task to do. Good luck! ~ Captainkidd
  12. Well if your only dying because of the prayers you should check out the prayer switching guide here, if you already haven't. http://forum.tip.it/topic/181159-prayer-switching-guide-for-tztok-jad/ With that said, using better bolts such as dragon or onyx will provide a faster kill, which means less times you have to prayer switch and less chances you'll mess up. Now with dragonstone and onyx bolts (e) being close in price I'd say use the onyx bolt (e) on Jad. ~ Captainkidd
  13. I'd rather have 99 attack and 90 strength then 99 strength and 90 attack. As your max hit doesn't increase a lot from 90-99, however your accuracy is improved much from 90-99. ~ Captainkidd
  14. Get straight 80's first, then go for 90 attack, then either 90 defence or 90 strength first, then 99 attack, and 99 defence or 99 strength. There is a common misconception that getting 99 strength will make you train faster when really it will cause you to train longer because you don't have maxed attack. What's the point in hitting very high if it doesn't happen often? ~ Captainkidd
  15. Well if you look in the Tip.it Bestiary under the 'Notes' section on any monster it will tell you what attack type there weakest against. ~ Captainkidd
  16. As long as you bring a full inventory of swordfish (minus the space for your runes) and remember anti-dragonfire shield you should be fine. Good luck! ~ Captainkidd
  17. You won't be able to solo Bandos with those stats. You could duo as along as your partner can tank and has 90+ combat stats. ~ Captainkidd
  18. Teleporting is the main way of getting around, this includes amulets rings and normal magic. For a more in-depth guide on getting around you should check this out. http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=getting_around.htm ~ Captainkidd
  19. Here is a good guide on the fight caves. http://forum.tip.it/topic/72654-the-fight-caves/ This is a guide for prayer switching for Jad, VERY helpful for everyone, I suggest you check it out. http://forum.tip.it/topic/181159-prayer-switching-guide-for-tztok-jad/ ~ Captainkidd
  20. Keep in my all my figures are on average. Pest control with a team you can obtain 100 points in an hour. This turns out to be around 24k prayer xp in an hour. Soul Wars with a team you can obtain 9 zeal an hour. This turn out to be around 26k prayer xp in an hour. As for green dragon slaying, you make about 342 prayer xp per kill (You get the 252 xp from the dragon bone and one dragon hide equals 38% of a dragon bone) and the amount you can get an in a hour varies. If you can make 1M an hour while killing green dragons it comes out to be 50k prayer xp in an hour. If you can make 600k an hour while killing green dragons it comes out to be 30k prayer xp in an hour. So killing green dragons is your best bet, unless you can make more then 600k-1M in an hour then you should do that and buy the bones. ~ Captainkidd
  21. If your alching you should always be managing your kingdom, farming herbs and doing runs to shops around runescape once a day, as all of these tasks can be done while alching and make you a little, but enough money to break even with what you've lost. You can do: - Hunting - Theaving from high level stalls - Rune/Addy mining While your not doing the other things I've suggested. ~ Captainkidd
  22. Do you know that it takes 9,000 - 10,000 zeal to obtain a Slayer cape? Even if you get an amazing 9 zeal an hour it STILL comes out to be 1,111 hours of Soul Wars, You'd average about 12k Slayer XP an hour from Soul Wars. If you get a average 6 zeal an hour it would take 1,600 hours which is 7.8k slayer XP an hour. Keep in mind you can average about three times that all while training melee, range and magic. Now on to Attack, Strength, Defence, HP, Range and Magic. It takes approximately 2,500 Zeal to get 1-99 an any of those given stats. Again if you get an amazing, unheard of, 9 zeal an hour it would take about 278 hours to obtain a single 99. Meaning you'd average 46k XP an hour. You can get up to 70k - 100k an hour with decent stats using various methods. As for 6 zeal an hour, 416 hours, average 31k XP an hour. You can get more with AFKing at bandits... And you think it's easy to obtain all those zeals? Have you ACTUALLY played Soul Wars for more then a couple hours? As I just proved it takes LONGER, much LONGER while getting a prefect 9 zeal an hour 100% of the time, if anyone deserves more credit it the people who spent longer to get the 99. ~ Captainkidd
  23. It use to be forever for a short period, but then Jagex made it to 5 minutes. Although I think it's longer for older accounts. ~ Captainkidd
  24. Get 30 more zeal and spend it on prayer. ~ Captainkidd
