  1. It won't let you do another wave until you use your reward so no hoarding books in the bank. Was actually a fun D&D. I didn't know the Poorly Cooked Karambwan Trolls could ruin the supply table so I lost my potion after wave 16. Luckily I had some sharks/full health and stats to hold me to the end. Got 57,240 runecrafting experience at level 85.
  2. I just noticed that now. Would they still be officially entered or? So they're all within the entry rules because none of them are smaller than those dimensions.
  3. Woo 12 points :D And that guitar actually looks like it could be an ingame item, looks awesome.
  4. Myu gets my vote, there's just something about it that really catches the eye.
  5. I'll answer a few quickly: (or maybe a bit more :P)

Why not have both graphics and gameplay? Graphics can only take a console so far; a next-gen 360 and PS3 will need more than just a graphics upgrade to leave Nintendo behind, especially if Nintendo starts getting a lot of 3rd party support this time.
  7. Quote straight from the development blog: So they are going to release a 10 year cape, just not until next year. ;)
  8. Well apparently Jagex are experimenting with some things right now: [qfc]15-16-996-62861426[/qfc] (See 7th post) Don't want to get too hopeful so just wait a day or so before coming to any conclusions.

My grad class did a water prank similar to the ones mentioned already. We covered all the staircases in the school with Styrofoam cups filled with water as well as the classroom of the most hated teacher in the school. On another day a group of guys purchased a few chickens and released them into the school.
  10. Yeah I haven't tried blackjacking Monkey Knife Fighters yet but I've heard from a lot of people that they're the fastest experience in the game. Pyramid Plunder is still a viable alternative for those who get tired of the same clicking away for hours on end or those who just want a bit of a change. If I get a chance I'll do some tests myself and compare the experience rates between the two.
  11. You'd think that Jagex would want the best promotional pictures possible, even if they're just for update teasers, yet they never use the highest detail settings or save the files in a format that doesn't make it horribly pixilated. :/ That being said I hope that if they do use this water it will fit a lot better than this screenshot shows.
  12. The ending was the best part. xD Nice job with the details, you even made sure that the amount of damage done to your character actually equal to your life points! (I was a noob and added up all the damage just to see :P)
  13. Well in the past 2 months we've only had 3 uses of .exe by adbots whereas there are 14 uses by legitimate users. Also the 3 adbots were very obvious and I'm sure almost every user would notice that the link isn't safe just from a glance at the content of the post. Also I'm pretty sure it's not possible to censor only urls with .exe as you'd need to censor something like .exe[/url] but most bad links don't even use the url tags to begin with. Anyways just wanted to throw some numbers/thoughts to consider out there.
  14. If it's common sense, surely it would be quite easy to explain why. I would never pretend to know anything about those weapons and as such would never moderate a topic with that without advice from someone who does know, but just because what you're claiming is "common knowledge" doesn't mean you're exempt from justifying it. Actually, it does. If you don't know that rapier is the best weapon in almost every situation, you should not be posting in metagameing. If you want to state that ccbow w/ rigour>crapier with turm, YOU need to prove it, not those who are following the overall trend, as your idea is the exception, and theirs is the rule. This just brings back Nifflin's example again: [spoiler=Example]Five monkeys were in a room that contained a table in one corner, and a banana hanging from a string in the middle of the room. The monkeys figured out that if they dragged the table to the middle of the room, they could climb up and grab the banana. So they did. As one of the monkeys quickly hopped up and reached for the banana, hidden compartments in the walls suddenly opened, releasing high-pressure cold water that knocked the monkey off the table and drenched the other four monkeys. They quickly learned that whenever one of them climbed on the table, all of them were soaked with cold water. They realized climbing on top of the table was a bad idea. Unbeknownst to the monkeys, the high-pressure cold water hoses were disconnected and removed. The next week, one of the five monkeys was removed from the room and replaced by a new monkey. The new monkey saw the table and the banana dangling from the ceiling. Realizing that the banana was there for the taking, the monkey headed for the table. But fearful of being drenched by the high-pressure cold water, the other four monkeys pounced on the newcomer and beat the tar out of him. Every time the new monkey got near the table, the others beat him up. Soon the new monkey no longer went near the table. By the third week, another of the original five monkeys was replaced by a new monkey. And like the monkey the week before, the newest member of the group tried to get near the table to move it over to the banana. Once again, the others beat up the newest member of the group. Even the first new monkey joined in. Each successive week, one more of the original monkeys was replaced. The same thing happened every time; when the newest monkey attempted to get near the table, the others joined in to discourage him. By the sixth week, not a single monkey was left from the original group. Not one remained that had been squirted with cold water. But when the newest monkey headed toward the table and tried to reach the banana, the other four monkeys “trained” him by beating the tar out of him. If you could ask each monkey why it was beating up the new monkey, each probably would say, “I don’t know, that is just the way we do things around here.” Without proving something the first time it just becomes something that's accepted with no factual proofing to ever back it up. I find it hypocritical that the moderating team has been accused of following the forum rules blindly (which we try our best not to) when the forum users accusing us of this want new metagamers to follow their word of mouth without telling them the proof behind facts being discussed.
  15. Congratulations! After consideration by the PMG moderating team, your guide has been deemed worthy of AOW status! Personally I've really enjoyed reading your guide, lots of great pointers and tips in there!
  16. I've noticed this lately a bit too, I don't think it should be too much trouble to create a separate subforum for Video Guides and it would be useful for organizational purposes. Either that or perhaps making it mandatory to have [Video] in the title of threads that are video only guides.
  17. Generally forum announcements don't get a main page post, but you can see it up at the top under community news! (When the feed updates anyways :P) I think an even bigger achievement will be when we get to the 5M post milestone.
  18. Quyneax has already posted there saying that topic posts were not removed because neither side provided concrete proof that their claim was right. It was just assumed that everyone knew why one side was right. This is an issue we're looking into and (I believe this was suggested in the topic) the moderating team is currently considering the idea of having an organized fact sticky in that forum so that a fact can be stated and then a link to the sticky could be provided for evidence.
  19. Well chances are they probably just said "that's against the rules" which is why we're waiting for a more detailed and informative email from them so this whole fiasco can be resolved by fully understanding what is and isn't allowed on both sides. I'm defending my work here. I code to help people out. I play RuneScape to help people out (That's why I give away about 1B+ per week to friends FFS). I'm not about to be called a botter and say I promote botting when I write functions that abide by the rules. Quote of my response which was ignored: The thing with your example there is that it would only be ok if 1:1 means that as long as the number of keys pressed to call the function equals the number of actions that the function does. Personally I've always understood that by 1:1 it means press key -> move mouse press key 2 -> click mouse Because essentially nothing happens with your script until the last key is pressed so then the previous keys wouldn't matter would they? This is what needs to be cleared up with Jagex because if it is ok to press 3 keys together and then have 3 actions performed then most of your functions are perfectly fine (also assuming that Jagex is ok with moving to a point on the screen which there also seems to be controversy over). However I think what a lot of people are understanding is that an action must be performed after each keypress and not press 3 keys = 3 actions.

  21. Well sites like Google and Youtube show ads based on what you search for don't they? So you'd have to be looking for bots/gold selling sites in the first place to see the ads. It would seem kind of silly to ban a site like Google if you look at things from that pont of view. Anyhow this is being discussed by the moderating team right now like Kim said so I can really give anything more than just my own opinion right now.
  22. Well youtube has to remove videos that are illegal, violate copyrights, have scams, etc.
  23. If you haven't done so already you should send some pictures of your work in to Jagex for the Gallery.
  24. Just checked myself and you should still be able to use the pencil tool which doesn't anti-alias the lines that are drawn.
  25. So this is saying it's ok to be posting scripts that break the 1:1 function rule as long as there's a disclaimer telling people they have to make them 1:1 themselves? That's like directing someone to a RWT site, telling them how to use it, and then saying they can't pay for gold as it doesn't fit within Jagex's rules. do you even understand what a bot is my god you people are idiots and are incredibly difficult to deal with when it comes to rules. Ok so I worded that poorly I admit, because they aren't botting scripts exactly but they still do more than one action per input the way they are presented don't they?
