I have an Insignia 32" plasma HDTV in my dorm. Great for watching tv, horrible lag for gaming, even with the "game mode" on.

I played all of grade school and for my high school. I was generally a middle hitter, but I did play a little outside on certain rotations. My junior year of high school, we were ranked #1 in state and top 25 nationally according to ESPN Prep, but were upset in the regional finals at the our opponent's gym. My senior year our team was very young (we started 3 sophomores and I was 1 of 3 seniors that started). We also lost in the regional finals. Completely false. I guarantee that even those chubby defensive linemen have more muscle than you. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if their body fat percentage was lower than yours. Regardless, most guys are under 300 lbs., so they're hardly fat. It might interest you to know that Trent Cole, one of those supposedly unathletic defensive linemen for the Philadelphia Eagles, ran a 4.7 40 yard dash. Must only be in highschool football then. Yes, most of the DL and OL in our school are stronger than I, but they can't run for [cabbage]. It's hard to judge things like that in high school because of the varying levels of ability between division levels...hell, even between different schools in the same division.

They're taking on some deep subject matter. (racism, adultery (albeit not knowingly), and spousal abuse off the top of my head) I'm still liking it. :thumbup:

Today was a "flexitarian" lunch on campus, and the main meal was a portobello burger. Not knowing what portobello was, I got one. (I thought it was just a fancy name for a type of beef) It was probably one of the most disgusting things I have ever eaten. The taste itself was tolerable, but the consistency was...horrible. I made it through one bite. So I got fish sticks. <_<

My mother approached me tonight about possibly staying overnight and doing an investigation at the Waverly Hills Sanatorium. http://www.therealwaverlyhills.com/ She and I have both always wanted to do something like this. If we end up doing it, we'll have to buy a better camera and an audio recorder to make it a proper investigation. The overnight itself is something like $100 per person and you need 10 people in your group. I am very, very excited about having the slightest possibility investigating there. It will be a dream come true. Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures have both done episodes there. No detailed plans at the moment, but I will keep you all updated if we go through with it.

Frankly I'm more excited about the next TCV album than this. I've come to expect great albums from Dave Grohl and the bunch, because they do it so often, so instead of getting hyped about it months and months in advance, I just listen to what I've already got. Then when a new album comes out, I get it and add it to the collection. I have heard that there aren't going to be any acoustic songs on the album. Just straight up in your face rock. Honestly I liked their slow stuff just as much as their harder songs.

I doubt that's the last we'll see of him. Remember the guy knocked over that huge thing of tools (which included the hacksaw) when he was running back? I'll betcha it was within reach. We also saw zombies prying open that door in the preview, so yeah. I was just happy that he got left behind.

I'm glad his show is finally going to start airing because the constant commercials are really, really getting annoying. Conan's a funny guy, and I like his music taste (Conan is good friends with Jack White of the White Stripes/The Raconteurs/ The Dead Weather). I'll probably give his show a watch or two to see how it goes.

Last night I watched the episode with someone who had read the comic. Not wanting to spoil anything, he said that there were a few things that weren't in the comic. For example, the sex scene at the beginning was apparently only alluded to in the comic and not specifically shown. There are also extra characters that are not in the comic. After that I told him to shut up and just watch. :razz: I really hope they don't do product placement like other shows do (the perfectly placed muscle car). I remember when shows like Heroes did it with Guitar Hero and it was baaaddd. Other than that, another good episode. I was slightly surprised that they were allowed to use the N word like they did, but he got what he deserved at the end so HA.
