I had the same problem with my iTrip. I'd find a semi-decent frequency to listen to (still with some static) and within a half hour or so of driving, I'd be picking up other stations. I ended up ditching it for a cassette to MP3 converter like this: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-USA-PH-62050-Cassette-Adapter/dp/B0007R4LI8?tag=meesara-20 Of course, not many cars still have cassette players in them, and this is not a charger, but it does solve the problem of listening. I've yet to find an iTrip powerful enough to be worth using.
  2. Yay fresh meat! I mean, good luck everyone who applies!

I've learned that people from my side of Cincinnati tend to draw out our O's into ohh. So instead of "home" we say something like h-oh-me. It's difficult to explain because I can't tell the difference by ear. All of my out of town floormates can tell though. Oh, and warsh instead of wash. That one drives me insane.
  4. Are they not sticking to the comic?
  5. I loved the pilot as well. [hide]I'm pretty sure firing a gun would have that effect, because the sound waves have no where to go. What I liked about the first episode the most was that it wasn't just a superficial zombie show. The value of family theme is something that I hope they continue. And omgwtfdrama with his wife and police partner. Also, poor horse...I thought the whole cowboy sheriff badassness would last longer than 15 minutes.[/hide]
  6. A little update on mine. She did get extremely drunk at the other college, but made it back reasonably fine. Then she went out again the next night, but didn't drink. We hung out a bit after she got back, but I didn't bring up what was on my mind because it was 3AM. That and Mean Girls was on. It's just weird. All of the time that we knew each other up until last weekend, she didn't party a lot, but this past weekend she went out for round two. It's really making me question whether or not I can keep up with her. I don't party very often at all. Hell, I hardly drink. I'm really hoping that she just caught the Halloween spirit and she'll settle down a bit. If not, I doubt we'll go anywhere.

  8. I was told at my high school to choose teachers that you had during your last two years (junior and senior years) rather than teachers from your freshman and sophomore years, because students can change significantly good or bad from their first two years of high school. Something to think about if you choose to ask your freshman English teacher. Good luck in your search. I started my first year at Xavier this fall and I'm loving it so far.
  9. Uh, I'm pretty sure it would be the NHL. After all, its NFL not NFBL... I'm pretty sure NHL is already trademarked by the National Hockey League.

Halloween was by far my favorite holiday as a kid. Dressing up as whatever you want and walking around past your bedtime. Not to mention you get free candy for doing so! It's all about acting silly. Around here, the worst that people do is toilet paper a few trees, but normally they hit friends houses, not strangers.

Saw the Sonny Moorman Group at the release party of their second live album. They're not exactly my type of blues, but it was nice to get out for the evening.
  12. That's the thing. They left an hour or so ago. I basically just told my roommate to look out for her. We'll see how that goes. *shrugs*
  13. Never thought I'd be posting in here, yet here I am. So, here's a little background. I'm currently in an open relationship with a girl who went to high school with my roommate. While I would love to take the relationship to a more serious level, I've gotten the vibe the she that wants to keep it the way it is now. Since this weekend is Halloween weekend, they're all going partying at a notorious party school about 45 minutes away from our campus. I would be going with them, but I have schoolwork that needs to be taken care of. I'm not naive about what goes on at these parties since I've partied there before, so I'm a little worried at what might happen without me being there. It's not that I don't trust her, but I just have a bad feeling about her going up there. Should I tell her that I'm uncomfortable with her going there? I don't want to come across as a parent or that I'm smothering her fun, as that may endanger any further progression in our relationship.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9etHRVJ4rAo Haven't listened to this song in a while, but I can definitely see myself killing some zombies to this song.
  15. Economic Left/Right: 1.12 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.92 I guess I'm pretty hard to find then. (Although I'm more towards the middle than anything) They should show how many times you contradict yourself. That would be more interesting.
  16. Bumping this since the premiere is in a week. A co-worker told me that the first episode was leaked and that it's supposed to be really, really good. I know how I'll be spending my Halloween!
  17. I wonder what the learning curve is. For someone who plays real guitar, but very badly *raises hand* I don't want to only be able to play the first 4 songs in the game and then be stuck. Looks pretty sweet though. For the fast solos like Crazy Train, looking at the fret numbers as they're squeezed together is a little overwhelming. But I think pro mode in general is going to involve lots of time in practice mode, so memorization of those types of solos may be the best bet.

  20. Believe me though, those two broke the longest drought I've had in a long, long time.
  21. Your musical compatibility with jaseFX is Very Low Music you have in common includes Linkin Park and blink-182. Don't really listen to either of them anymore.

Bud Selig is a stubborn little [puncture], so I highly doubt any changes will be made as long as he's commissioner. I think if one was instituted, the MLBPA would have to agree to it. That's a problem. If they do agree to it, the cap would have to be done over a certain period of years, as in make an initial cap and lower it over the course of X years to the agreed upon spot, because telling teams over the cap that they need to dump half their team to make the cap in one year would not be good business.
  24. Probably one of my least favorite of his. Onto Live at Pachyderm Studios - Indigenous http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2CPhYpqITk <3: <3: <3:
  25. Indigenous' Circle album. Great Native American blues rock band.
