You don't 'really' need to have played the first for the second, however it will give you a little bit of background on some of the characters. The half life series is incredibly action packed by the way. Especially the latest episode (EP 2) there is very little times where something isn't going on. I'd strongly recommend it. If you do want to play through half life (1st) its really cheap these days to pick up, although not really needed to enjoy #2. Hmm, my cousin who i gave my x box version of hl2 said it was a bit of a disappointment till he knew the story. And its only $10 for hl1/hl1 source or get the origanal half life anthology.

I would take Assassin's Creed and Bioshock off of that list, since they don't have much replay value, and the Op wants a game that will last 3-4(+) weeks. Id love to know a game that was that long... Oblivion lasted me months before I got tired of it... The main story takes about a day/two days Side take about 3-6 hrs per.

Uhh, not exactly sure what you mean by that, but you will be able to play co-op and multiplayer on the PC as well. Not sure how multiplayer will work though... if you will have to know the person beforehand, or if there will be some sort of serverlist-a-la-Counter Strike and people host their own servers or something. How does it work on the Xbox 360/PS3? My guess is that PC will be the same. Xbox live works you have a gamertag abit like steam id. I may get it for pc doubt it tho.

Nope they've came in to quite a bit of money. You cancel your membership and quit and don't use rs, they still have the last part of the membership and whilst you don't use it means they're getting free money.

Finally a descent rant for once. Yeah im glad if I "k0ed" outside because I ran to slow its my fault I should have moved faster.

(1)The price for a 360 is fine, it has great graphics and has a lot of good games for it... It's not under priced but it sure isn't overpriced... (2) Ok maybe more than 5, but can you name 10 good Wii games that are out at the time of this post, a maximum of one Mario title. (3)I didn't say it was the only console with good games?
