  1. Runescape tends to use up as much memory as it can and the ram it uses increases with playing time and/or world switchers. What are the specs of your pc?
  2. that is WAY to hot, it sounds like something has definitly gone wrong inside. If you are in to computers open up your laptop and see if there is anything clogging up the air vents or any coolers inside the machine, if you are worried about breaking something take it to a pc shop that knows what they are doing. I suggest using it as little as possible until you get this heat problem sorted.
  3. Don't get an alienware, they are overpriced and it is a lot funner building your own pc with the componants that match your needs exactly.
  4. Depends what games and at what settings.
  5. yeah, like this would happen  Jagex has more than enough money to keep rs running for a few months I suspect.
  6. "afk 4 lyfe"
  7. I'll post after I've tidied up a bit :P *looks around at all the clothes* :o
  8. Absolutly none of these are fake, I have good contacts ;) 8) tehe :o he scares me the original bunny email, featured in newsletter 11 I think. hehe I have a load more if anyone wants to see them ;)
  9. Just report if unsure and let jagex deal with it.
  10. Try a different version of java, if other games work fine then it points towards that.
  11. laptops are really hard to upgrade and have a lot less options as to what they can have in them due to the obviouse size issues. I would go with a desktop unless you REALLY need the mobility of a laptop.
  12. the staff that deals with queries are completely different from the staff that deal with updates, stopping the updates would do nothing to improve customer service, if anything it would actually hinder it as noobs will rant to customer support on their not being any updates. The forums are for feedback and questions, customer support is for anything account based. Having mods logging into game to solely answer questions is a waste of resources though some do play occasionally if they have spare time. Most of the mods you will see logging in game are not customer support related, so complaining about bannings etc to them is a waste of time as well.
  13. The original RS still exists, you just cannot make new accounts on it and it is p2p only.
  14. Hardly any games require 2 gigs currently, its a waste of money in my opinion.
  15. Bwareofmef - Currently a player moderator ^ not anymore :P Keep up the research!
  16. The screenshots both give evidence of the account being tosilx's, theres probably even more vidence behind the scenes that we don't know about, the excuses hes making up for the screenshots are just getting rediculous. The ban was fair.
  17. sounds like it may be overheating, when you have turned your pc off after a freeze just feel the outside of the case, is it warm to the touch? Also what RAM do you have? Why use windows xp media centre edition?
  18. Show us some PROOF that your story is true before calling us names, because at the moment the facts are stacking up against you.
  19. You have been officially owned. Btw: killing friendly herblorists isnt something id brag about :? totally owned, Jagex caught you, too bad....not. Next time you're gonna lie remove the evidence.
  20. In bios or programs such as motherboard monitor you can change the shut off temperature so you can make it lower to reduce damage to your processor :) As long as the temperatures are under 50*C you really shouldn't have a problem with crashes. Your case have room for fans? I bit of ducting to your cpu and gpu will help loads
  21. Wouldn't something like this be in the papers if it was that serious?
  22. another pointless thread- about 20% of rs population buys their p2p for rs cash so its not a big deal not having rl cash(or chances of getting p2p) another pointless spammer- about 99% of rs population knows that is against rules and would never mention that in forum. But yes, I have money but I think it's ridiculous they want to charge me $8 a month just because I have to pay by mail. I have the money but I have a real life and can't throw it away on a game. If they charged me $5 for pay by mail then ya, I'd be a member. sue me if you want. its against the rules- jagex mostly doesnt care- they still get the money for it and are happy with it- so are both sides from the deal usually- spamming- please- who are you to talk to be about something like that? i just brought out the point that even when you cant or are not allowed to get p2p yourself theres always methods how you still can if you really want to- saying that i cant afford to isnt a reason not to and neither is saying that f2p is better cause all know how bad it is. Actually if jagex detects memberships payed for by the same card in different global locations they will ban both accounts as it breaks the rule, you cannot pay for someone elses membership outside of your family and you cannot exchange gp for rl benefits = membership.
  23. Reboot your computer, do not enter internaet, dont do nothing, when your windows load, the first thing you do it delete it. Be sure theres no internet connection when you deleteing it! ~komodo wouldn't it be easier just booting into safe mode? :P
