Green Dragons, Ectofuntus, and the Elusive Prayer Bonus
CWolf2 replied to gonpost's topic in General Discussion
Very nice post, I love how you think through these different aspects with math and logic, and not just with common sense. It would be interesting to attempt other experiments with this game. I would like to speak with you in-game, and perhaps even begin a partnership. I have a few experiments in mind. imaerehw14, and donpost, please add me in-game, I have an interesting proposition for the both of you, of the business type. RSN: commandwolf2 -
It is their site, is it not? If someone were badmouthing you, wouldn't you ban them from doing it again? And don't say "he was being polite about it" because obviously he wasn't. You guys complain about their banning policies way too much. Don't do anything borderline, and you won't be banned, that simple people.

FIRE DRAGON- New armor, hides, @ area for dragon slayers
CWolf2 replied to buffrichie's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Actually it wouldn't be... it would be. Dragons come in many forms from their original myths. There are legends where the dragons don't spit fire. In fact, the fire part seems to come in from the Greek Fire machines they used in Greco-Roman times. Usually shot out of the mouth of a boat, the jelly like substance would coat a surface, and would then be lit on fire (usually when it comes out of the hose). This would give the look of a "dragon" and struck fear in the enemy. As the old saying goes, "water water everywhere, yet not a drop to spare." Basically, these boats were the dragons of real life: terrifying; and if you came up against one, you were certainly dead. Dragons don't normally spit fire, it's just a European legend/myth that they did. And as we all know, the first "dragon" myth/lore/legend was spawned in Asia. I just would like a cool d hide set that was like the Lava Cape, you know, animated and all. Red, with flames, that would be sweet! -
You do know it's illegal to AFK train, right? I just wanted to let you know that before you get banned for telling other people to do illegal things.

OLD Runescape Classic Picture (Let the memorys Flow)
CWolf2 replied to Dilts36's topic in RuneScape Classic
I remember the first day of RS2, coal and iron were basically the same look! Everyone was like "I'm gonna be scammed!!! change it!!!" Admittedly, I was one of those guys, but still. It was such a radical change from RS1. Rs1 FTW!! -
Barrows and time? (read, maybe an important discovery!)
CWolf2 replied to Melter's topic in General Discussion
According to your theory, you spend more time in the barrows, and you get a better item? Well in that case, the person who obtained 10k KQ twice should be rolling around in Guthan spears. Sorry, but I personally think time does not matter, it is only luck. -
Incredible, you beat a level 100 using a whip, drag med, full rune, and an obby shield, while he used full drag, red phat, and d2h... you are indeed level 89, but here are the combat stats for kicks and giggles: Level 100: 81 attack 86 str 77 def 84 hp 52 prayer 90 mage 78 range Level 89: 70 attack 77 str 70 def 73 hp 43 prayer 63 mage 60 range Level differences: 11 Attack 9 Str 7 Def 11 HP 9 Prayer 27 Mage 18 Range So statistically speaking, you should have been crushed. My conclusion: The slow speed of the d2h (about 4 seconds per hit*) is the major thing that caused you to win. The whip sits at 2.2 HPS* (hits per second), meaning you hit him nearly twice by the time he hit you once. Now, even with the d2h hitting 18s each time, if you were to hit even 10 each time, you would eventually overcome him (considering you were the same HP. Now, take into account the inaccuracy of the d2h, you can tell why your HP wasn't beaten so badly. He was probably hitting 0 after 0 after 0. Now, this shows you that the combination of the slow speed, or the lack of any speed thereof, and the inaccuracy, make this weapon dangerous; not to the opponent, but to the player using it.

your either jokeing or never used abyss, abyss mage store, or abyss pk, because those skeletons have been there and are REALLY annoying when buying from the store there and i guarente there is more then one. That is at level 5 wildy, he's talking about levels 1-3 wildy, you know, where the guards normally are?

You guys want a fair fight to test out barrows armor? go to castle wars. I (level 90 then) was able to take down level 100+s with my torag, whip, and d sq. Now, I'm not saying they didn't have fewer bandages, or that they had more than me, but I know I killed a few level 100s that were wearing rune and an obby shield. I'm not saying that "this is 100% clear statistical proof that barrows owns" but still... it goes to say that if you have barrows, and a whip, and fairly close stats, you should win the fight. This again is without the set specials.

I have, and pay for WoW, and RuneScape. I may be the only person who thinks this, but... RuneScape is better than WoW in my opinion. There is nothing to do in WoW, just fighting really. Dueling, battlegrounds, monsters... it's all the same. In the battlegrounds and dueling, paladins and rogues own anyone else, period. In battlegrounds, it's basically capture the flag, but you can use your weapons unlike Castle Wars. However, battlegrounds is kinda bias, either the Alliance wins it flat out (3-0), or the Horde wins it flat out (again, 3-0), there is no inbetween, there is no "close" game, it's all just which team has the most high levels. As well, you can only use 2 skills at a time, like mining and blacksmithing, or engineering and tailoring, it's horrible. Sure, the people are great and all, but the fact still remains that it's boring. You need about 20k xp to get from level 19 to 20 (very rough estimate, I played a long while ago) and each monster you kill gives you about 70xp, at the most if you're lucky. Some monsters even give you 6xp. That takes forever to get a level, and it's just so repedative, even worse than RS. No one talks there really, and the prices on enchanting are outrageous. Money is, however, VERY easy to get, no merchanting required. Just mine 20 copper (requires level 1 mining and a pickaxe), and sell it at the auction house for 1g (that's a good amount of money by the way). It is SO easy to get money and good items in that game, it's rediculous, almost as bad as RuneScape I might add. They don't have many (if any) autoers though, so that's good. Oh, and they don't have 12 year olds running around... god I wish membership were increased to $15 a month...

As has been said, it was changed. However, what wasn't said, is that they were simply a test on the active servers. Way back when, there was a time when mining ores didn't give you a gem randomly. However, they needed to test the new "gem while mining" concept on a larger scale than just a private server, so they introduced diamonds into the game, and let people mine them. Once they fixed the bugs, they added the other gems, and changed the old diamonds.

No, in one of the pics, he's wearing Dharok armor, not white knight armor.
-
If that works, it's an image of me in torag's (without helm, even though I have it) and legends cape, and drag sq. You might get those two.
-
awsome, thanks.

Can anyone post the melee armor without any other item on? I want to get the stats of it.

So, from what you say, I can walk into a bank and "see" the money and take it? AND get away with it?! SWEET! You try it first though. It's not wrong in the sense of the law, but it's wrong morally, but you'd know nothing of that subject, would you? And btw, whoever said "make 50 per bar/log" is the reason that bolts aren't popular, you can't make mass numbers... so doing that would hurt every other type of range even more.

wouldnt cooking levels be too fast too  1. what ^ said 2. see 1 3. i'd rather see a furnace get put near an anvil 4. dropping stackable items yes, but otherwise no 5. if you have a keylogger, then a password would have no effect since the person would be able to see it anyway. But it would help against password guessers. Um, you're incorrect on a few things here. And anvil would never be near a furnace, too easy to train smithing then. As well, stackable items can be dropped as one item... so there's no reason to have "drop x" on a stackable item... As well, your keylogger critisism, turns out to be flat if the system was done in a certain way. If there's an onscreen dial you have to turn (using arrows you click on) and it starts at a random spot, you can avoid key loggers. You would just have to put everything away before logging off. And that safe idea, bad as well... because that protects a few things, not everything, which would be stupid if you ask me, since they could just as easily protect everything.

No no DK, it would only happen in certain areas, i.e. NOT guilds and in the cities (without guards around at least). And you would still be able to run around and such, but, you'd be able to run into a city and use the guards as a defense. Or, if it's like the magic trees, you can run inside where it would be safe or something.

Well, I was taking a shower, and thinking... about just random stuff really, but then it dawned on me... there is a major reason why RuneScape is the way it is right now (a.k.a. bad), and I think I know how to help it along in the right direction. Well, one day I was playing Castle Wars, and a guy on my team was clearing the tunnels so the enemy could get through with our flag. I told him to stop, and explained why we needed it to be closed, and he said the two famous words, "make me." Make me! The nerve of that kid! He was level... I believe 74, or 76, but that doesn't matter. Now, most people do mean things because no one can do anything to them... no lashback if you will. What were to happen if we did add a "lashback"? What if, we brought back world-wide pking? I know, it started off being that one team owns everyone else, and that's why the wilderness was made, but, why not have better rules on it? I mean, WWPking could do some good. I mean, this way, if someone were being annoying, we really could make them stop, and they would learn not to do it again, or stop when asked to. Have it so that you would need to be within 20 levels to attack, and it wouuld be single-combat areas. Or maybe a few multi areas where most problems occur; this way everyone can kick his can. With this however, there would be a lot of pkers going "yes! I support this completely!" and clans would amass in sizes, but it might just save RuneScape. Of course, this wouldn't save it, but it would help it along. We'd need to make the game harder, in order to weed out the people with short attention spans, and only get the serious gamers in here. I would rather have 50k people on at most than have these kind of players around. And yes, I do play on rs2.

Runescape Community - Lacking something?

For a second, I thought you were describing Tip.it there... -
You people are too worried about money, my god. And how is farming "fun"? If anything, I'd hope for carpentry.

I suggest making the cape wave in the "wind" that's in the stadium, that's what I'd do at least. -

The guy with the whip looks weird... maybe put a legends cape on him to make it show that it's behind his back.
