  1. I'd probably do more than 5 meds, but whatever works for you.
  2. I vaguely remember being able to pull the knight behind the one the npc was fighting.
  3. I like them because they're very easy to afk, but you're right, they do get a bit old, however, it'd be more appropriate just to skip them if you can't be bothered doing them.

  6. tif, cracked, tvtropes, facebook, drugs, music.
  7. Try to do all except your top 10 floors as c1 smalls, then do those last 10 as c6 meds. When you've completed every floor, be sure to reset your prestige by clicking that button that says 'reset' on your party interface. There's really not much else to know, besides how to kill the bosses, but a quick look on tip.it or rswiki should take care of that.
  8. Even though AZs and monkeys might be faster, it's worth it in the long run to do slayer, which provides pretty good combat xp + good drops + slayer xp. However, the fastest xp I've heard of is dharoking the skeleton monkeys that you chin, with a salve and max gear apparently you can get 150k+ xp/hour.
  9. ..? As in he should get a rapier because it's worth it. Did he ask for opinions on rapier? Don't force efficiency on people. I answered his question and added my opinion. Since he needs several million xp to complete his goal (which is likely to get 90+ strength) it's in his best interest to get a rapier. I'm also sure that his reason for not getting a rapier is that he doesn't like dungeoneering, which is a fairly rash opinion, considering the fact that he isn't even ranked.

  11. A. Get a rapier, because it's amazing. B. Rapier>Korasi's Sword>SS>Dscim I believe
  12. I was just joking babe.
  13. Go with the lbs, but make it a goal to get a rapier. Once you get it, you'll never look back.

  18. Not quite. You don't need the superheating to make it faster. I use Varrock or Falador to make smithing+mining faster. If you have the patience to do it, by level 60 Falador is perfect for F2P, and sometimes even P2P. What makes smithing harder than other skills is that you need to consider that you need to use multiple methods to make smithing efficient. The 3 main methods are: *More money, less Exp (buying ore and then selling bars) *More Exp, drained money (buying ore then selling final product) *Exp for 2 skills or more, inefficient (making final product from scratch, then selling it) As for the mining, it is correct, but I find mining dater by mining coal and yes, iron is also a great way to train mining. Other than that, you are correct. Smelting and superheating gold with the family crest gold gauntlets IS the most efficient smithing experience for people who do not have high incomes . If you are free to play then there is realy no reason to train smithing very far as it has little use outside dungoneering which is arguable. Even if you did want to train smithing, mining your own ores would be a poor choice because the money saved is not worth the time spent. Similarly smelting is a poor choice because the time wasted getting slow exp is not worth the money saved. Thus we are only left with buying bars and selling products which is expensive in f2p. TL;DR Superheating while smelting is best for most members. Smithing in f2p will always be very costly, or very time consuming with the costly method often being the more efficient one. What about the cheap and effective methods or the most rewarding methods (which means it will be usable with other skills). They are just as imprtant as the most efficient methods. There is no such thing as a cheap and rewarding method. If you think that say, mining iron and coal and making cannonballs is cheap and rewarding, then you are far from the truth. You might not spend any money, but in the time it takes to actually accomplish anything, you could easily have made quadruple what you earned from selling the cballs. Same with almost any method. The reason why gold is so efficient is that you earn 120k xp/hour and that it's the best xp/gp/hour for the average player. Your first statement is correct, but this is for approximately 50% of the F2P population. the other 50% have a intention of being P2P in the near future, so Smithing as a F2P gives you an advantage by the time he or she is P2P. Your second statement is also correct, but there are many people who use it, and feel better off that way. That is because like Firemaking+Woodcutting, Mining and Smithing are interdependent to each other, so it would make at least some sense to combine smithing and Mining while training. As far as I'm concerned, both smithing and mining are a lot quicker to train in p2p (120k/hour smelting gold, 65k/hour mining granite, compared to the nominal xp received in f2p). However, both are equally useless, except for like opening doors in dungeoneering. Not always. I now train Smithing by making the final item from scratch, but I also am starting to train using the GE. I buy ores, smelt them, and then sell them. Not as time consuming or costly as other methods. He's completely correct. I'm not sure what the most efficient method is in f2p, but I'm sure it's along the lines of making addy plates, which are certainly very costly. The next most efficient method, likely mithril plates (cbf looking it up) yields a lot less xp/hour. The less efficient you become, in general, the less gp/hour you will spend, however the xp/hour decreases at a much faster rate.

I hope your not on RS while posting this. But seriously the lawful good, the self righteous rule abiders annoy me to no end. Its a D&D term but this picture demonstrates all the different player archetypes. I really enjoy the fact that most of these player types are on this forum I reported your post because it contained profanity. Enjoy your ban.
  20. You should smelt/mine Falador (it is more convenient than places like Lumbridge for example), but this does not mean that it is the ONLY good place to smelt/smith in. This is in my personal opinion, and you can do it at another location if you prefer. Also, please clarify what you want me to insert and to which question. Well you're kinda implying that you should mine in the mining guild, which is horrible enough to start with, then you should go smelt the ores in the furnace half a city away. I'm not sure if I'm being clear enough, but it's rather inefficient.
  21. In 2007 you practically couldn't ko anyone from max hp. And yes, people were still killed while doing clues. And it was a pain in the ass.
  22. I think having the wilderness back will just be a giant pain in the ass. Sure, you can defend yourself while clue hunting, but I kinda enjoy how you don't have to now. Sure, greens are crowded by bots and maybe they'll start to be killed after the update, but the bots help keep dbone prices low. Sure, pking is fun, but, you know, it's kinda pretty stupid right now: either no one risks anything of actual value, or they do risk something of value, which decimates any opposition, with the opposition having risked nothing of value. You won't see players in divines and bandos and all that [cabbage] battling it out against each other. You'll see those few with prime equipment going against those doing treasure trails, hunting dragons, abyss crafting, or welfaring. I mean, it's not like I pk or even do clues, but it does seem like a total joke.
  23. Be warned that if the referendum isn't just a big joke, you'll have to revert to the old system of wilderness clues. I'm not sure if it was posted earlier (cbf scrolling up), but bring only the basics and a few sharks/monks, and if you're about to die, drop everything except the clue. You should be able to get everything else back with only a little effort, so your goal is to protect the clue, which can't be reobtained if lost.
  24. Do tog and penguins till around level 60 or so, then start doing larges. When you've completed all your floors, reset your prestige and do all but your last 10 or so floors as complexity 1. For the last 10, go to w117 and do larges.
